Very pleased to say our experience was great as we were there earlier in the year and service and food was terrible, which given we’d eaten at Farm Vigano several times was very disappointing.
So pleased that may have just been an off night as we thoroughly enjoyed everything at our recent visit.
Farm Vigano is a favourite for a casual but quality filled outing, highly recommended. Great food and ambience.
Great overall lovely food and service would return
Farm Vigano is a hidden gem! We really enjoyed our lunch midweek with our daughter along with us. It's a special atmosphere with enjoyable views over the Plenty ranges and amazing food. We enjoyed the slow cooked lamb and porchetta with sides of rocket salad and fries (the 3 year olds request of course!). The meat was generous - we expected a single serving but these dishes are made to share!
We will be returning with our whole family and extended family to share another delightful meal!
I have and will recommend family and friends to Farm Vigano.
If you want a wonderful authentic Italian dinner with the wonderful service to match, then you can't go past Farm Vigano.
Everything thing was outstanding- atmosphere great, food delicious, service excellent
Great atmosphere and great food! Was a little loud but only because there were some kids having a great time as well! Food was delicious!
Nice place for family and friends. The calamari and pulled pork were tasty and perfectly cooked. The pistacchio cannoli was enjoyable, too.
Really enjoyed our meal there. The service staff were very very good.
Everything was perfect! Do yourself a favour and order the porcini mushroom & truffle gnocchi, you will not be disappointed! Great atmosphere and surroundings, a beautiful restaurant all round.
Excellent food. The gnocchi is amazing and the vegan options plenty for some of my friends.
Beautiful day, beautiful setting, great company. Food was tasty, small serves, except for the pizza.
Would recommend this place to others.
Food was delicious, service was attentive, ambiance and views were very relaxing. Only negative is that it is expensive.
On arrival we were greeted by, somehow, very busy staff. Perhaps a dedicated 'Maitre D' would have made our arrival a smoother transition to our table, which was well placed considering it was a very busy day, with lots of parties. Our waiter, Marialena was very attentive, knowledgeable, polite, and friendly.
Our orders arrived without delay, however my spaghettini with Blue swimmer crabs had no crabs, just two little prawns. Disappointing ! as I was looking forward to it. As our booking was for 1:30, they may have run out. In this case, perhaps I could have been given the heads-up, and may have ordered something else instead. It was also very expensive for what I got.
The menu was not huge but there was something for everyone.
Delicious selection of food at a good price. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely go back again.
Being an open eatery noise travels albeit I did notice t his time round we were not cramped in with surrounding tables. What we found extremely annoying is the cake per person charge - my father's 95th birthday a small cake - 7 people at the table and a $4 per person charge. A bit rich given total expenditure of bill at just under $600.00 which averages to $85 per person we had the sharing set menu. The particular waiter we had on the day - young boy extremely and very courteous. The fairest way to not charge a cake plate fee - waive it when you spend over a certain amount depending upon numbers at the table as clearly this part really annoyed us all!
Food and venue lovely
Service poor. The waiter serving out table was good. On arriving poor service. I was standing at the front for some time and was invisible.. no one acknowledged my presence and kept walking past me. That was a poor experience and not a nice start. To get some service to the table was poor. I was waving my arms around for sometime and observed the staff and they were not alert at all. I the end another customer had to alert one of the waiters to come to the table to take a drink order. To finish we paid out bill and the change was left on the table. We would have given that as tip in any case . Another waitress came up to us and took the tip and asked .. have u already paid ?? She was quite rude how she handled the situation.. For such a lovely venue your wait staff have really let it down .. definitely more training and refinement required.
Great food. Beautiful views. Hidden gem.
Would highly recommend
Amazing food and highly recommend the share platter for 2 people, so much food!!!
Insane! So incredibly beautiful. My whole family were gobsmacked with every everything...from the food, to the service, to the venue itself. We will be back!
Lovely Italian cuisine, in a family-friendly atmosphere. Great outdoor space for children to enjoy on a sunday afternoon also. Highly recommended.
I visited in May and was so impressed. I visited again yesterday, was still impressed however the only fault was the meat (sharing menu). I found it was over cooked and not juicy but still tender.
Would still return but thought I’d give feedback considering when I visited in May the meat was to die for and cooked perfectly.
Really enjoyed our visit to Farm Vigano. Food was delicious and the service was great. Look forward to going in the warmer months and sitting outside.
The food at Farm Vigano is incredible, such a high standard. My family has high expectations of food and it surpassed them for such a good price.
The restaurant is very family friendly, lots of kids, the noise level is quite high when it’s busy, the wait staff were absolutely fantastic, very polite, professional and helpful.
As much as our dining experience was phenomenal, I am a little disappointed that I noted on the booking that we were celebrating a special occasion and this was not recognized at all. What's the point in being asked if it is a special occasion if nothing is going to be done with this information? Little annoyed as I was hopping that we might be given a complimentary dessert to share, or glasses of sparkling.
We had out grandchildren with us and we felt the kids menu was limited. A spaghetti Bolognese could have been and ideal kids extra meal along with some plain vanilla ice cream for them.
our food was generally good but serving too large.
The place is beautiful the service was great. But I was a little diappointed with some of our main dishes. Pizza was great. My pasta was under cooked. The basil and chili pasta dish was inedible to much basil and chill so overpowering.
My partners birthday. He had never been before but he enjoyed everything about Farm Viganò.
We ordered the shared banquet which was wonderful! Delicious and plenty of food!
The restaurant is pretty however the noise level was terrible and we were unable to hear people 2 seats away and meant the ambiance of the place changed. I would suggest looking into sound proofing.
We were given outdated menus so our bill came to a bit of a shock as everything had gone up in price. This then decreased my sense of value for money as bottles of wine had jumped up $10each - why such a steep price increase???
Overall it was lovely though.
Food is always of a high quality here. The meat dishes (lamb shoulder and porchetta need a bit of freshness because they are quite heavy, recommend sharing this dishes). Desserts were good (would recommend sharing the tiramisu between 3-4 people, would also prefer it to be in a higher dish and have layers). Service felt poor at the start (had to wait to be noticed, had to wait to get menus and wait to order even though it was a Sunday night and there was only 4 other tables). Overall a nice experience.
I have been to Farm Vigano in the past and enjoyed it. This time I was disappointed for various reasons. 1: I ordered the lamb shoulder, it came with no vegetables or salad, just a plate of meat, since when did a main not come wiyjout salad or veges. Others ordered crab spaghetti containing 2 pieces of crab
2: I did order a plate of potatos for the table, unfortunately oversalted
3: After my meal when we had been given dessert menus it was 40 mins before I got the attention of the waitress to say we were waiting to order coffee
4: Too many people crammed in that you couldn't move between tables, to go to the toilet or leave you have to consider the best route to take.
5: Noise level so loud you can only hear the person next to you by leaning in, forget the person across the table. Such a shame, would I go again - no. Leaves a lasting impression
The food never disappoints and our waiter was provided excellent service. The arancini were definitely something we order again. Looking to book a family function there
Wonderful find. Very Italian and the food was superb. Impeccable service too. I can imagine a big family get together there ‘Italian style’. Will be returning soon.
We love going to Farm Vigano excellent food and amazing atmosphere. It feels like we transport to Italy when we step through the doors. Staff are amazing as well! Authentic Italian through and through.
Food was amazing and plenty of it(we had shared platter), service was perfect. Will be back again
Excellent food at reasonable prices in a lovely setting. Service is exemplary. The pizzas are simple, but very tasty with crusts cooked to perfection. Although the footpath from the car park is well lit at night, there was small pothole that could be a hazard.
An elegant restaurant with amazing views and ambience. The service is attentive and the food above average. I have been many times and on my last visit took guests who had previously not known of the restaurant and who left suitably impressed.
What a fabulous place to lunch! The setting is gorgeous! The food was fabulous and the service was excellent! Highly recommend for that special lunch or dinner!
Have been before and was ok. This time we didn’t really have the best night. No one there is really accomodating. I explained to one of the ladies when I confirmed the booking that my husband was a coeliac and she ok no problems, thanks for letting us know, when we arrived I had told them again. My husband went to order and they said well we can’t do much, we can do pizzas gluten free but they are cooked with the others and not on a tray! Well I said that’s not gluten free then!
Everything is cooked in deep fryers so u can’t have calamari. So we asked if they could pan fry, they were thrown in a pan with some oil and dishes out! No effort made... should advertise you have a gluten free menu if you don’t accomodate
Disappointing value for money. Never had before a porchetta that looks and taste as boiler pork. Italian cuisine is something else.
