At Fancy Hank's we serve American-style, slow-cooked BBQ, using the finest quality free-range meats, cooked using our custom-built, 2-tonne smoker. Brisket, ribs and pulled-pork sit alongside the traditional sides as well as a number of unique dishes. We use traditional Southern cooking techniques and combine these with local produce to put our uniquely Australian spin on this regional American cuisine.

It was an average experience. Limited menu, the idea is cool with a BBQ platter. The brisket tasted good at the start but within 3 minutes it was dry and hard to eat. I thought it was pretty expensive for the food and experience. Also stood at the door for a few minutes trying to get someone's attention but majority avoided eye contact.

Wow! The food here is unreal - so delicious. Great energy in the place - a little loud but all part of the fun. My partner and I shared the $52pp set menu and there were plenty of leftovers to take home. Had a great time - will be back!

We went for a Thanksgiving feast. Good food, but limited menu. The only options were shared platters. So, we didn't have much of an option. Plus, we typically don't eat that much food. The meat was good (no turkey) but it would have been nice to have another veggie besides coleslaw. We had a food allergy and had to make a couple substitutions but the server mixed up one of our substitutions, but they ultimately made it right. A big frustration is you have to order using a QR code which made food allergy substitutions difficult. It's also hard to scroll through the menu and drinks on a phone and holistically look at everything. I would rather look at a menu. We probably won't be back for awhile. Definitely not until they offer something besides large share platters for dinner, which don't offer great value.

Looking forward to this lunch for my son’s birthday as I’d heard good things but it was terrible. Cold food poor service and not very tasty. Ribs were tough and stone cold.
Will not be back and do not recommend. Also please bring back table menus and get rid of mobile ordering this added to the poor lazy service.

Make sure you arrive hungry!! But they will give you a doggie bag if you don't.
Ribs are a must but honestly it's all amazing, including the cocktails.
Staff are super friendly and welcoming.

Staff were friendly and quick. Couldn't say much about the drinks as we had pre mix options. Food was very disappointing. Brisket was extremely dry and bland, chips were somehow also dry. Pulled pork wasn't terrible but it wasn't anything to rave about. Coleslaw was alright. We didn't get the larger platter, and kind of glad we didn't.
Have heard good things from others, so we'll try eating here again. Our experience was pretty poor though.

The food was great, we ordered a Pitmaster's Pack (or something similarly named) which was around $42 a head, plus a half rack of pork ribs.
The portions of the brisket and the pulled pork were great - plenty to go around between the four of us, and the half rack of ribs were perfect - 1 each with 1 to spare.
The chips were well-seasoned and full of flavour, and the slaw was tasty too. Extra points for the crew for catering to my dairy intolerance - a little touch, but it goes a long way.

Fantastic food!! I could eat that every night. It’s good value too. We dined early in a lovely table near the window. It was quite at that time. I didn’t rate the décor … it was a bit blah. Staff were friendly and attentive. A great experience!

One BBQ platter is great for 2-3 people. If you have 4 people you're better off ordering 2 platters seperately. Theres a lot of food so you gotta be hungry. Somebody on here recommended the blooming onions- I can second that recommendation 👍👍

Waiters were helpful and friendly. Meal was great as recommended/expected.

A couple of suggestions

1) Please have proper menus. I'm old school and prefer to order from a menu and chat to the waiter as it's a better way of getting an overall view of what's available.

I don't believe technology is the way to go here. It's too many pages to look at on a small screen! I'm out to be with friends and not use tech.

There's an assumption that one has a smart phone, not necessarily correct.

Would it be possible to open the outside facing windows/doors for ventilation, especially in this CV climate.

This is our favorite restaurant.
The portions are huge, you get massive value for money and everything is delicious.

We were offered a set menu and the meal was really nice. We asked for a container to take home the leftovers, as the meal was really large. The waitress was great.
We went upstairs to the rooftop bar for a cocktail and had to wait 10 minutes The pina colada was disappointing. I couldnt drink it as it was too bitter. The price $22 was too expensive.

Limited menu but fine for what the restaurant is! The food was superb (why oh why have a vegan option in a carnivore restaurant??) but the standout was the staff, who were informative, pleasant and above all, efficient. Full marks to management for choosing such great people!

Size of the meals weren’t the best and when I asked the waiter if there was more coming out he was quite rude.. One of the other waiters got us more brisket made but the same waiter whom was rude before hand, came back with a smartarse remark “the squeakiest one, gets the most oil”.
