We planned our whole trip to Texas around visiting Family Business! Cause around beer you’re family. lol
We ate three days in a row and the staff, beer and food were exceptional each and every night.
One of my favorite places.
Super easy ordering and beer was great.
A great impression. Watch for the sign before getting to the turn in. Parking was no problem. And the area and drive up to it was pretty awesome. Greeted and seated. front of house staff took care of us. Brewery was the star but really enjoyed the country feel and food truck. Service cant be faulted. Friendly and fast. Plenty of beer to keep us happy. Music playing and nice evening. Will be back to visit the family !!!!
Lovely farm forest appeal! Would come again!
Always the friendly
While in Austin on on our two week Texas road trip we decided to take a 40 minute side trip to Dripping Spring to enjoy beer and food in the grove. It sounded great but it was really disappointing. You know they say first impressions are everything and it really is true. It's very important to be warm and welcoming to guests. The hostess was less than happy to see us and not at all welcoming. It was cold and it had rained earlier. She said we could sit on the porch or at a picnic table that was wet. She seated us under a speaker blaring very loud hard rock music. We were a party of three and the other table was too big for us. Once the menu scan code was pointed out she hurried off. We tried to download the menu for the beer and ran into problems when the items would not add to the basket for check out. We asked the hostess/mgr, and she suggested we use safari and walked off. She never checked on us again. In fact when we left, she was taking someone to their table, she didnt say goodbye or make eye contact. Maybe that's just the FBB way. IDK. Anyhoo, we finally figured out how to order. We took a photo and somehow that link worked just fine. Beer was ready quickly but we waited a long time for the food. Finally got the text to come over and pick up our food at the food truck. Tripped on uneven pavers on the way and almost lost my food. Glad I didnt because the food was really good. After a couple left, a young man came out and sanitized a table and quickly scurried off to some unknown parts inside. No smiling eyes, no "how is the beer," no "thank's for coming out today"....nothing. We like happy places so we headed back downtown Austin in search of somewhere friendlier. We started our trip in Dallas, traveled to Ft. Worth, Fredericksburg, San Antonio, Hico, Austin and back to Dallas.... no where did we encounter the unwelcoming vibe of the FBB staff. Too bad..Texas was really friendly so this was a real disappointment.
Saving people, hunting things. The family business.
The female hostess that sat us was rude to my mom. It was our first time at this place and we came the actual day of my birthday to celebrate. We had a reservation at 3pm when the place opened and got there a little early. We walked over to the wait to be seated area and out of curiosity being at a new place, my mom walked a bit ahead of our small group to the railing to take in the view of the property. This hostess yelled at my mom that it wasn’t just 3pm yet; it was literally 2:57pm and for her to walk back to the hostess stand. We were the first customers there, we were quite and my mom didn’t touch anything. Seemed that the hostess was on a power trip.
When the hostess sat us, she spoke very fast and acted like she was in a rush. We all had a difficult time figuring out how to order from their website; they make you scan a code to view their menu. They aren’t allowing ppl to go up to the large outdoor bar to order. And it was weird that they were requiring masks to be worn outdoors.
It's a really neat place, but was very disappointed by the food offerings. We went for their pizza and turns out, they don't have pizza (even though it's on their website). There was one taco truck that only offered three options. Just really strange. I guess a good place to go if you just want beer. Not a family place given the lack of food.
We went out for the Bollinger Truck event. The line to get in was bigger than normal, but they were extremely efficient and getting people a table. We were set outside and we're able to order via a QR code. Dogs and children are allowed. They have a playground area for the kiddos. Nice, family friendly business!
Beautiful place and great beer. We loved it.
Beer was great. Company was great. The woman singing there that day has an AMAZING voice and made it really enjoyable.
So I am biased, I’m a fan and have been since Jensen was on dark angel, this will be the second time I go down there and unfortunately he was not there although his Instagram made it seem like he was gonna show up and then we drove almost 3 hours from Victoria Texas and waited two hours at which point I asked the bartender and I was informed that he was not going to be there today. I cannot lie I was very disappointed I do understand that he has other projects going on, I just wish that a disclaimer could be put so that this doesn’t happen to others again, my wife says we’re not going back and she feels like it was false advertising to get customers in the door, I like to believe that it’s not so I’m gonna believe that it’s not and unfortunately my work schedule does not permit me to come back anytime soon so I guess I will have to look into comicon instead, as I’m still a fan and the highlight of going there was the fact that my daughter got to play on the playground in almost 2 years as she has been battling a rare bone disease which makes it hard for her to get around but the playground equipment was very accommodating and easy for her to navigate so that was the best part of being there.
I have been dying to visit since the day they opened. We came out all the way from California and I gotta say the 18 hour drive was totally worth it. My husband is a little picky and he left super happy with everything. We brought the whole family (11 of us) The service was outstanding, the employees were super friendly and polite, the beer was delicious and the prices were great. Live music gave us that whole Texas feeling we were looking for. They have a pretty big playground for the kids were the parents can watch their kids from their tables. This experience was so awesome that I’m already planning my next trip to come back. Thanks to everyone for making sure we had an amazing time.
Got sat far from everyone else and the food was kinda bad.
Great food, actually found a beer I like (I’m usually not a fan), some live music started as we were leaving. Staff was awesome, and they made it a point to keep everyone on the straight and narrow regarding masking up. Will definitely go back! Make sure you reserve a table!
My sister and I visited for my birthday. COVID precautions were taken seriously, but the service and overall experience was still impeccable.
I love Family Beer Business. As a neighbor it’s my little escape. Cold beer on the patio with good music on the sound system.
We appreciated the fact that there was food (taco truck) at the brewery but it was very disappointing and overpriced. Otherwise we really enjoyed our visit.
My husband and I went here twice during the short stay we were in Austin. We loved that they are dog friendly so we took our pup with us. Casey, who greeted us, was very friendly and helpful, he even remembered us on our second trip. All the staff was fantastic and treated us like family!! The beer was great and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere! I highly recommend the flight so you can explore all the options. Taco Baby food truck was there to supply some delicious nachos!! I really appreciated that they were still following CDC guidelines for Covid, even with the state mandate going back to normal. It made us both feel at ease during uncertain times.
Great outdoor place to have a beer and a pizza. We got their flight of four beers and three were great (the fourth just wasn’t my kind of beer). Overall, really great beers. Super nice place to hang out among the oaks. Very nicely done pizza.
The pizza and beer are amazing. Love the make your own option. Friendly staff makes you feel like family!
Family Business is awesome handling the Covid precautions. The beer is amazing and the atmosphere is awesome.
No table service
Drinks in plastic cups
Beer was average at best
Waited 2 hours for our pizza at lunch on Saturday and finally cancelled. Only twelve tables it shouldn’t take that long to get food.
Love going to Family business, great customer service, love trying the different type of beers!
We were celebrating my birthday! Great atmosphere and we loved our pizza. The beer was very good! We will be back in the fall!
Hostess was nice, easy ordering process, safety protocols in place. Great experience.
Went back two days in a row. Great place to chill.
Good beer, good pizza. Following covid guidelines, tables far apart, servers wearing masks.
Great outdoor place with well spaced out table and awesome beer and pizza.
Good place to hangout with Family! The pizza is very good also.
The place is fantastic, great beer, amazing pizza. Family friendly as well. We sat out under the trees and had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back. I must mention the pizza again, it was absolutely amazing!! Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Rome!
Most of the good beers were sold out. The pizza was over cooked and missing ingredients. We were told on the phone that the playground was closed but when we showed up it was open. The ordering process was a little confusing at first. Overall, not the best experience.
Took my best friend who was visiting from out of town
They always make you feel welcome at FBBC. The artisan pizza was hot out of the oven and I love that you can design your own or choose from their mainstays. The Rainbow Road was a perfect pairing. It feels safe here. They enforce mask wearing and everything is kept sanitized between guests.
Absolute waste of time. We waited 1 hour and 34 minutes for 1 pizza. Pizza was okay but not worth the price. They have a couple of mediocre salads and only pizza on the menu. I am confused as to why they can’t get their kitchen operations flowing nicely, places wasn’t even packed. They also ask to leave a tip even though its self service. You order on an app, have to walk up to pick up your beverages, and then walk up again to pick up your pizza. One positive, the setting was nice. Picnic tables over a nice shady area. There are other better breweries in the area, skip this one. Maybe it’s time the family business hires a professional who knows how to smoothly run a business.
We have been to a lot of the breweries in Dripping recently and this might be a new fave! The pizza was awesome, though it did take over an hour to be ready so keep that in mind. Very COVID safe. Great live music. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely beautiful location with great beer, delicious pizza, and a very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended for a relaxing eyeing family and friends.
Such a nice place, relaxing atmosphere & Great beer!
