Everest Himalayan Cuisine
Met up with some friends and found this restaurant while searching for a place in the middle.
The waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food has a strong influence from Indian food which makes sense since the countries are so close together. We had two different curry dishes, spicy tofu, tandoori chicken, vegetable pakora, and garlic naan. It was very very delicious.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars for value was I felt it was little pricey for lunch. I believe it’s the same as the dinner menu. Overall, the food was delicious and I would definitely return for another meal.
As always, lovely!
We had the Samosa, Saag and Chicken Tikka Masalaa. Everything was delicious and looking forward to our next visit.
A must try food is outstanding and delicious. Bread is unbelievable too
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.
Wonderful owners as well as workers! Food was authentic and delicious!! We took our friends from Nepal the last time we went and they really enjoyed it!!
Wonderful place with great tasting entrees and appetizer options. Staff is super friendly and the service was wonderful!
We loved Everest—our 3rd or 4th visit. Such friendly service and fresh, lovingly prepared food.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our dinner here. The food was delicious, creative and tasty. The service was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable, pleasant and friendly. Thumbs up overall!
We (myself, my wife and daughter) went for dinner recently on Sat. 9/8. This was our first time at Everest and will definitely NOT be our last. The three of us were seated at a large table in the front of the restaurant near the door. It was nice to have lots of elbow room. The first thing I noticed was the wonderful, mouth watering aroma from the food that was being brought out, especially from the sizzling dishes. We had the Papad and Samosa for appetizers. Both were excellent. The sauces were excellent as well. We also had the chicken dumplings - the Chicken Momo, which was excellent. This was brought out at the beginning as well. For mains we had a vegetarian dish, Aloo Bhanta (ggplant and potatoes in a curry sauce - but not spicy at all) which was amazing, and Chicken Saag - also delicious. We also had bread - Onion Naan which was extremely tasty. This was more than enough for three people and we took food home. Of course we couldn't help ourselves and had two deserts, Gulab jamun and Mango Khulfi. Both were amazing. We couldn't finish them. The food and service were excellent, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. The prices are reasonable and the portions are just right. What more could you want. Everest is now on our "go to" list.
Yummy, unique. Unusual, flavorful. Something fifferent.
Was quiet do to it being summer on the south shore. Service could have been more attentive based on the amount of tables in the restaurant.
This Was our second time in this restaurant. the food is delicious and very different. they have plenty of options for all kinds of diets and the place is very relaxing and quiet. the service is outstanding.
Everest is outstanding. Every dish was delicious. The staff was attentive from the outset. Ordered apps Samosas and mixed momos 👍. Shrimp vindaloo, biryanis, and lamb grill were outstanding; looking forward to exploring other dishes in the future. Hidden gem on Long Island.
Service, food and ambiance were amazing!
We have been to Everest Himalayan Cuisine for dinner on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. The ambiance is very relaxing and the food and service is always great. The owners and wait staff could not be more helpful or kind. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to our next visit.
This was a last minute choice for Father’s Day dinner. Pleasantly surprised! We were not rushed, and we enjoyed the chef’s free samples of soup and breads.
Nepalese cuisine is close to Indian cuisine. If you are comfortable with Indian cuisine, you will enjoy this restaurant. We will be back.
Food was flavorful and spiced well. Service was good. A bit of a wait for food so don’t go if you’re in a rush.
I ate at Everest Himalayan Cuisine a few weeks ago with my family, and went back last week with a friend, for lunch. My daughter asked me for take out (Paneer Tika Masala) because she loved it so much for dinner. So far as lunch goes, there is a good deal of excellent food for only
$7.95 (if you don't get it with the regular menu, make sure to ask for the lunch menu). Naan and rice are included, as well as a choice of 2 out of 6 excellently spiced dishes. My friend is a vegetarian, and was very pleased with the 2 vegetarian options. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Good food. Great service. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Very slow but friendly service
We used Open Table to reserve but the restaurant was full. We waited for a short time and were seated. The waitress couldn’t be nicer. The tastes and textures were really interesting.
Great food and service
Everything was fine except for slow service and long wait for food.
Was in the area and wanted to try something new. We made a reservation for dinner and were amazed at Everest's acute attention to flavour. The staff was very kind and patient. We plan to return soon to try more of the menu! Try some Momo!
This was my second time dining at Everest Himalayan Restaurant in the past six days. This restaurant is truly a gem on the South Shore of Long Island. The food is very fresh - we had the cheese naan, mixed Tandoori, chicken Vindaloo, wine and beer. The atmosphere is wonderful and the owners and wait staff could not be more helpful or kind. I highly recommend this restaurant.
