Eureka! - Dallas
The food was incredible, especially the cheesy truffle fries! The service was also awesome. Went at around noon on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded. Great spot!
We went for lunch on a Thursday. The place is beautiful and has a peaceful yet dynamic vibe. I know that sounds contradictory, so let me explain. The servers seemed to have a happy rhythm, and were very aware of our needs without being anxious. Aris was our server and she was so pleasant and met our needs and questions in a nice friendly way. The other servers were also humming along peacefully. The food was made with care and was good quality. The kitchen met our dietary preferences very kindly!
One thing I really appreciated was that there was music playing, but my friend and I had no trouble hearing each other without straining at all. It’s rare to be in a restaurant in Dallas where I can speak and listen effortlessly and enjoy my company! I loved it. We will be back many more times. Also want to check out the HAPPY HOUR. They have LOTS of great selections!
Excellent as alway
Good food and great service. The menu is different and has options.
AC wasn’t working and it was very hot. Should of walked out. Service and food was great. It was uncomfortably hot and we were sat right by the door where the heat came in. Ugh!!
Amazing food and service.
If it wasn't for the lack of air conditioning inside on an almost 100 degree day, the review would have been 5s across the board.
Great Service and Great food! Will definitely be back.
Awesome apps, drinks, burgers, and dessert!!! :-) heading back tonight for round two.
Mother's Day brunch
The service was slow and had to wait for server to order food. After eating our brunch, We wanted to order desserts but becoz of the wait we just asked for our cheque and we left. Good food and ambiance but poor service.
Great service, great burgers and great drinks. We will definitely go back!
Drink selection was great. And waitstaff was knowledgeable of whiskeys. Food was ok. Service was really good.
Best thing about dinner were the truffle fries. Other meals weren’t great. Service wasn’t great, server seemed stressed and not very friendly.
Probably won’t return
Cool place but my steak was well done when I wanted medium..waitress was awesome though
Great food, however we found a tiny bug in our lettuce towards the end of the meal. Not a huge deal, but would have expected a manager to come address it, and they did not.
Great place. Wonderful service, loved our waiter. The food was excellent. We tried the Brussel Sprouts, cauliflower bites, mushroom toast, and osso bucco riblets. Kinda price wine by the glass. But an amazing selection of craft beers! Will totally be back.
Too loud!!!! Yummy food though.
Great place, beautiful low lighting, good food, good service and bar. It never seems too crowded either.
They have a DJ at 12:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday? No thank you. Food was great. Service was awesome. Couldn't talk to each other. Ugh.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Had a great time but portions are small for the price.
So glad to find Eureka! I'm a foodie and this place did not disappoint. Atmosphere and service were top notch!
Great Farm to Table place to eat. The service is amazing.
This was our first time to this restaurant. We LOVED our food and the great variety on the menu. The location is good. Service...everything was great -- EXCEPT the noise! A DJ during brunch...really? It was so completely loud! Finally, about halfway through our meal, our throats were stretched from trying to converse. I asked the manager if he could turn down the volume, and he readily complied. I did notice a difference so thank you so much, Eureka, for doing that. But it was still annoying to have that going on during "girlfriend" talk. I'm hesitant to return simply because of the noise issue, but we enjoyed our food so much. I'm conflicted!
I am thrilled I found this place. I am always on the look out for restaurants that stay open late - if I go to a concert or a play, I prefer to eat after. So I stumbled upon this place on Open Table looking for a bite to eat after a play, and it was outstanding.
Late night Happy Hour is always a treat - reduced price appetizer and $2 off craft beers after 9:00 PM. But even better was the quality of the food. I had deviled eggs as an appetizer, and they were excellent. Burger and fries - and to my surprise, the fries were hot, crisp and very tasty. So may places, the fries are an after thought. Not here. The burger was cooked perfectly, topped with an egg and jalapenos. Very good.
I will certainly visit again.
Brunch Date! Food was very good and service was great!
New Year’s Eve and engagement celebrations on a friend
Always great food and good service,, such a cool vibe, you won't be disappointed
New Year’s Eve
Delicious! Will definitely go back again.
My family and I (party of 6) visited for lunch for my birthday on Christmas Eve. When we arrived there were only 1-2 other patrons, so we expected the service to be great since we were practically the only people there. The food was good. I ordered the cowboy burger, and I would definitely come back and order again. However, the service was lackluster. More patrons arrived after us yet received their orders before us. Part of our appetizer came out after the meal. We had to flag down a different waitress a couple times for requests because our waitress also doubled as the bartender. The service really just decreased the value of our visit which is unfortunate because it is a prime location in West Village with good food.
They were a little backed up due to holiday parties. We didn’t complain since we were having a good time. The manager on his own took care of us and was very generous. True customer service!!
It was my birthday yesterday and I’m so thankful for the staff. The general manager and servers were so kind and accommodating. They really helped make my day special. The food and cocktails were outstanding. We’ll be back again for brunch and happy hour!
Went to Eureka for the first time. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, but everything went downhill from there. Service was poor at best. The waitress showed little to no interest in us. She would disappear for long periods of time. Our drinks were brought by a different server, our meal was ultimately delivered by the manager, and then we flagged another server to give us the check. Our original server was definitely disinterested and lacked any service skills. We ordered fish and chips and veggie burgers. All food was lukewarm as if it had been sitting on the counter waiting for the lackluster waitress to deliver it to us. I really disliked the fish and chips. The sauces were not good and the fries were soggy. The veggie burger was fine but cold. Yuk? We won't be going there again which is a shame because the location is great and the prices are reasonable.
Eureka was a great spot! My boyfriend and I went for dinner one night I was craving a burger. The ambience is great, an industrial vibe that’s not too bar-like. We went a little early for dinner and the place wasn’t crowded. The food was GREAT. My only complaint is our server was basically non-existent. We decided to add an appetizer last minute, but never saw her walk by and she never visited our table until after our entrees came out. My burger was also undercooked, but I’m guessing she might have ordered it medium rare instead of medium well as requested. Simarlarly, we never saw her in the area to ask, so I sucked it up and ate it as is. My boyfriend had the chicken tacos and loved them. The fries were AMAZING. I usually opt for sweet potato fries, but was actually happy I stuck with regular. All in all a good experience.
It’s a very nice place, but very difficult to locate since it sits back from the street and trees obscure the sign. A couple of us had to circle the block several times to find it. The real kicker, though, was the very loud music played by the dj. We asked the waiter if they could dial it down a notch but to no avail. We four were all over 60, so it’s understandable that we were just a tad too old for this place. I would have otherwise given it an overall 5.
Went for a Sunday night dinner before work. Convenient free parking at the West Village garage across the street. Some groups were enjoying the cool night on the outdoor patio, and there were plenty of open tables. The dim lighting created a cozy atmosphere, but the booth's overhead light was sufficient for reading. There was some light background music and football games playing on the TVs behind the bar.
Service was prompt and my waitress named the popular menu items along with her personal favorites. I ended up going with the Mac N' Cheese Balls and the Fresno Fig Burger with Honey Cinnamon Sweet Potato Fries. My food came out quickly, tasted light and fresh like the scratch kitchen concept promised, and had great flavor. Nice mild spice in the appetizer, and the fig and goat cheese flavor marriage in the burger worked beautifully against the sweet fries. Would recommend, and I hope to be back to try more from their menu.
Food was excellent as well as the service!
Restaurant was half empty in a Saturday night. And while the staff was nice and friendly, service was SUPER slow. Both bar and food. Been there twice with the same experience. A friend who was at our table said the same.
