Etsu is a Japanese izakaya which focuses on local amazing produce in our dishes which are designed to be shared amongst friends. We have one of the largest Japanese whisky collections on our back bar which we recommend served over hand cut ice or try one of our sakes or Japanese tap beers. Our sashimi is the freshest around and our fave place to sit is at the dining bar. Kanpaii!!

Etsu is an incredible dining experience! From the moment you enter through the hidden door, the ambience feels cool and unique. The service was top-notch—our server was efficient, and the food came out quickly. Every dish was outstanding, and I was obsessed with the flavours. The value for the quality of food is excellent, making it a great choice for both casual and special occasions. I can’t wait to come back!

I was booking the table 8pm but the front staff said to us booked 8:15. So she said to us,we need to wait 15mins. I understood sometimes too busy and can not attend the table the time. But my friend told to her, we booked 8pm,showed booking form.And then she attended us straight away.if she could, why she said to us we booked 8:15. She even checked time table too. The table service were nice. But unfortunately because of the first impression, I was really disappointed

Great place to eat , it was busy, but the staff were very attentive and explained the menu. fabulous atmosphere We will be back for sure, it's a must to visit if you like Japanese food.

Food was amazing. Staff were friendly and knowledgable however when offering the specials did not mention the hefty price tag which was a surprise when receiving the bill. $110 for a small steak would have been nice to know in advance. We were also refused dessert due to time - even after being stitched up with the expensive “special”

I’ve been here quite a few times but god this time the food was not impressive at all, very simple and boring. I’ve always known this to be the best Japanese on the Gold Coast but definitely not the case anymore.

We very much enjoyed our evening with friends at Etsu. The venue is amazing, every course we chose was absolutely beautiful. Wine list and service excellent. Presentation was second to none.
