   Etsu Izakaya continues to be one of my absolute go-to spots for Japanese dining. As always, the food and service were impeccable. The team are friendly and attentive without being overbearing, creating a relaxed yet refined dining experience every time. Tonight’s standout was the crispy rice and scallop with finger lime, ponzu, and avocado – absolutely divine. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and every dish we ordered was flawless. The hamachi carpaccio, my usual favourite, did not disappoint and remains a must-order every visit. The Easter cocktail menu was also a real highlight. I tried a couple of the cocktails on offer and the Easter Egg cocktail was a standout – absolutely moreish, I ended up having two! Their cocktails are always on point, and this one was a wonderful surprise. To finish, we shared the yuzu cheesecake – the perfect balance of tart and sweet, and a beautiful way to round off the meal. The ambience at Etsu is uniquely its own – moody, intimate, and buzzing with good energy. It’s the ideal place for a Friday or Saturday night out. I can’t recommend it highly enough – if you get the chance to dine here, take it.

   We went to try the new menu - it is excellent! Especially the pork bao buns and the wagu gyoza. As always, the service is impeccable with friendly, welcoming staff. I can’t recommend this place enough :)

   Every time we visit the Gold Coast we eat here and this restaurant just keeps getting better (if that is possible as it has always been so good) The food is imaginative without being confronting and if we didn't live so far away I would be back there again tomorrow. Every table was taken and the whole restaurant has a great buzz. Great staff, excellent food - what more is there !!?

    Had a great time not the place for fine dining was very noisy hard to talk on a shared table but fantastic food and service
