They have done a great job in keeping people safe during COVID. Always love this place, but this is an added plus.
Thank you Linda! It was so nice to have you again. Thank you for your review we greatly appreciate it.
Sat outside, excellent service and delicious food, appetizer, entree and great soufflés! Highly recommend
Nicely spaced tables and partitions for dining privacy during these health conditions. Food was delicious as was the selection of wines. We looked forward to dining here again and they did not disappoint!
Thank you Jeff!
We had a great time at Et Voila, it was an early Farher’s Day celebration , the service was great, the waitress and the busser were very attentive through out the dinner. We had the mussels with chorizo, escargots and the cheese plate. The mussels and escargots were really good . For entrees we got the salmon, the steak, the pork chop and the duck breast . Everything tasted really good but the pork chop was our favorite. My only disappointment were the French fries , I was expecting the skinny flavorful french fries that I’ve had in other french places and instead they were regular plain fries. For the dessert we had the soufflé and the creme brûlée and both of them were delicious!!
This was our first time eating out since the shelter in place orders and WOW! When you walk in, the first thing you notice are the tasteful 8' dividers between tables. They provided an intimate corner for our group and elevated the space. The food was delicious (how great it was to order a cocktail!). The entire staff was happy and talked us through their new safety protocols - masks on when not at the table, paper placemats, a single busser, etc. Our "new normal".
We order the charcuterie plate to start. Our friends ordered the salmon and scallops (both were delicious). I ordered the coq au vin and my fiance got the duck. Everything was perfect and we cleared our plates!
Their wine list is extensive, not to overlook their cocktails which are also great. We were out of practice to ask our hostess to split our check at the beginning of our meal and we're prepared to Venmo each other when she offered to split the check (including the bottle of wine and appetizer we shared). I wish I had gotten her name because she was fantastic and really enjoyed how excited we were to be there.
Thank you, Et Voila, for an excellent first night out in our new world!
Thank you so much Taylor! We are looking forward to seeing you soon.
Excellent food and service as always. The new table layout with screens between the tables makes the ambience very intimate (and safe). Highly recommend!
Thank you so much Dennis!
As usual, Et Voila! did not disappoint. Service, wine, steak frites divine. Was too full for dessert, but have had profiteroles there, an excellent version of this French dessert.
Thank you Jane. We greatly appreciate your review.
The salmon was amazing!
The ambiance has changed for social distancing rules but that has happened everywhere.
You can taste the freshness and the skill of the chef!
Thank you so much.
We had a table for 7 to celebrate two birthdays and two high school graduates. Very lovely evening. Food fabulous. Cocktails were unique and delicious. Great wine list. For appetizers we had the charcuterie, and French onion soup. The Charcuterie was Adorned with lots of extras such as pickled veggies and toasted fig bread. Soup was succulent. Salmon, Duck and Coq au Vin Entrees were perfect. Berry soufflé, pistachio creme brûlée with candied Qamquats, Brownie with ice cream, and blueberry tart with sorbet desserts were perfectly sized and delivered with celebration candles and chocolate scroll writing. Just what made the evening special for our birthday people and our graduates.
The restaurant took excellent care to be Covid-19 safe yet still ensure pleasant dining ambiance.
We could not have asked for better!
Re: Parking-allow extra time to find parking in the neighborhood. Plan a walking a bit to the restaurant.
First visit back since the reopening, and as always, Et Voila does not disappoint. They have taken extremely thoughtful action to recreate their dining room to adhere to health guidelines. The result is a very classy, almost private dining experience. Even the most fearful patron should feel safe inside.
The food perfect - charcuterie, rockfish, scallops, and duck. And you must order the souffle!
Excellent food and service. We had a pleasant evening.
This is my go to French restaurant. I try to eat here once a month and I've never been disappointed. My husband and I take guests here often as we know they'll love the experience. They are also known for their Happy Hour which is great value. I would especially recommend the mushroom ravioli appetizer (to share) as it's quite rich. The pepper steak frites is also a favorite as well as their duck breast in orange sauce. Tempura green beans is a great side. I believe they have the best french fries and bread in town.
It's not cheap and they're only serving mussels on Wednesday but I still enjoy each visit. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and very friendly.
Social distancing includes glass partitions and curtains so atmosphere is private and quiet.
Et Voila! bistro is one of my most favorite restaurants in the world - not just San Diego. I could have swooned over my steak frites - where do they find beef so tender and flavorful? Then onto the frites - perfect as the French fry them. The wine list also made me so happy - such a variety of excellent wines. Dessert for me was profiteroles - again, perfect. The price of such an excellent meal is moderate in my estimate. We had table service - the first in months, of course, and the wait staff was professional and kind - I still have trouble remembering to put on my mask, as was reminded so gently. To be guaranteed a table be sure to make a reservation.
Amazing food with good service
Onion soup was perfect
Thank you Salik!
It is a good restaurant and it is very romantic as well, ideal for couples and for enjoying sutil flavors.
Thank you Ronald!
I have never had a bad experience at this place. We are regulars and we never get tired of it. The food is amazing, the Staff super nice, professional, friendly and helpful. the place, nice, tidy, clean, great atmosphere.
I have nothing but great things to say about it.
Thank you Irlanda! It is always a pleasure to have you.
Back open again after COVID shutdown. Great social distancing setup and delicious food as always.
Thank you, we are thrilled you enjoyed our new set up.
Everything was great! It was our first date night out of the house since early March and we couldn’t have asked for a better meal! The food was amazing as well as the service! I think this restaurant could be our new favorite date night spot and we’ll be back very soon!
Et Voila was wonderful, as always. The staff has handled all the new requirements with grace and still provides superb service. Come to Et Voila for wonderful food and welcoming service!
Et Voila! Did a beautiful job with physical distancing of tables. They incorporated beautiful screens to help everyone feel safe. Food and staff were as good as ever. Great job! Thank you.
Best French restaurant in San Diego. Very nice adjustment to covid protocols. Great food and service
Thank you Nancy!
First dine out in 70 days. The restaurant did an amazing job separating tables with screens, servers all wore masks and gloves. We felt very safe. Glad to see the tables were all filled with diners!
The owner is genuine
I will be back there
Great food and excellent service! Highly recommend you go there.
Food and cocktails were great. Service was great as always.
We had a beautiful brunch. The service was great, the food was fabulous. Perfect crepes, light salads, the best quiche Lorraine. We will be returning soon!
Birthday no desserts
We had to return after our first visit two weeks ago because the escargot kept calling to us... so good! Great service, comfortable seating, relaxed and friendly. Definitely try the soufflé!
Thank you for your review! We greatly appreciate it.
Muscles and risotto cake were amazing. Service was attentive and polite.
My favorite restaurant!
One of our most favorite restaurants now. Excellent food and service!
Thank you Lynn!
Exactly what they say they are-a traditional French Bistro.
For those who cook they know how hard it is to deliver on that promise.
Had a spot on steak and frites preceded by Onion Soup that was as good as or better than I have had in country.
They also pour a great Martini.
A place to relax and enjoy true comfort food.
Thank you Wallace for your review! We are looking forward to seeing you again soon.
This is one of our favorite places to enjoy a wonderful meal, delicious wine, and friendly service. Everything is always just right.
Sister’s birthday - very good!
Wonderful anniversary dinner. We will return, so much to choose from!
was appropriately salted and with a balanced fish taste. I prefer caviar straight up with none of the accoutrements that accompanied the serving. When I saw the mother of pearl spoons I knew these folk knew what they were dong when it came to caviar. Our guests raved about the pork. My apologies as I have not more details to share. My wife and I each had the salad Lyonnaise and would not have it again. We asked about a low tannin Pinot Noir option and what was served was spot on, very low tannin on the lighter side jut as we prefer.
Love Et Voila. One of my favorites in San Diego. Perfect spot for a nice, yet comfortable dining experience. Thank you. Bryan
Thank you so much !
My second time here, the cheese and charcuterie board was excellent, the waitress let me change the cheeses that went on it so that was nice. French onion soup and the duck breast were also excellent and unfortunately we did not have room for dessert but I had the pear and almond tart on my first visit and it blew me away!
Thank you Anais! We are looking forward to your third visit!
Great Valentines Day celebration! Awesome menu and service.
Thank you Greg! We are looking forward to seeing you again soon.
