This was my second time dining at Est. I wasn't disappointed. My husband and I chose Est. to celebrate our anniversary and we loved every minute and every course. The service is outstanding from the moment you walk in, and all of the staff who attended us were extremely attentive and equally lovely.
We were treated with an extra little sweet treat after the waiter must have mentioned to the kitchen that it was our anniversary.
I love how the wait staff deliver each course to each guest personally.
We have dined a various high end restaurants but Est. is a definite stand out.

Eating at Est. is like dining in someone's tastefully decorated living room. It's a beautiful, calm environment. We ordered the tasting menu, which was quite good but terribly paced. I understand that tasting menus are, and should be, leisurely experiences. Still, 30 minutes between three bite courses is too much.

Eating at EST is special experience. They only have the 3 or 4 course tasting menus (in addition to the multi-course dinner for larger groups). We did the 4 course where you select two entrees, a main, and a dessert. The experience and service is 5 star. I'm not sure I can name what I liked best, but get the signature cod dish. It's pricey, but worth every penny. Go, go with haste. This is world class gourmet food.

We found this restaurant on open table and it had $$ sign, but when we arrived it was more like a $$$$ restaurant. So we arrived with the expectation of a more casual meal and were a bit surprised once we looked at the prices. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful inside and the food was great, but the service was just ok. We had to ask for our bill multiple times and the wait staff was either highly attentive or we didn't see them for periods of time. Not what you expect when you dine at a place such as this.

We had 11 different items from the chef's menu. Almost all were outstanding in terms of creativity, preparation, presentation & quality of ingredients. The wine list was extensive & features gems (such as our 2011 Armand Rousseau Charmes Chambertin) from various global wine regions. What topped off our experience was the impeccable top-notch service delivered by the enthusiastic & knowledgeable staff. A must in Sydney for food & wine connoisseurs!

This is my favourite fine dining experience - REAL fine dining based on beautiful food, brilliant service and great classic style.We had the degustation with matching wines. It was well paced, the dishes were sublime and they readily catered for one of our guests with food sensitivities and the matched wines added to every dish. Not one bad choice among them.

The ambience was lovely, food exquisite and service excellent. However we felt the wines were exorbitant. A $20 wine from the bottle shop was marked up to $70. The over priced wines certainly detracted from the overall enjoyment of the evening.

Very happy with the overall experience. Staff were all attentive and the food was spectacular. Enjoyed the 4 course menu and the staff there truly go above and beyond in service. They even gave an extra slice of cake for our anniversary.

We went for the Chefs 4-course tasting menu and every dish was fantastic. The presentation of the food was beautiful and you can really tell the chefs took the time to prepare each dish. We were all so satisfied with the whole experience from the ambience, the food and the great service!

We have dined at EST for our Anniversary every year since moving to Sydney 4 years ago. This year the service and quality of the experience had dropped significantly.When asked if we were enjoying a special occasion and sharing with the waiter that it was our anniversary we were surprised to recieve a birthday cake and were sung happy birthday. A perfect example of an attempt of service gone horribly wrong and something we had never experienced before from EST.

The room, its lighting and the calm, welcoming and professional demeanour of staff immediately greet one with a sense of ease, sophistication & pleasure. The wine list, although extensive, is approachable and accounts for all tastes and budgets.The food menu is fantastic, food that allows a gastronomic journey to be taken without leaving us in too unfamiliar territory. It all combines to make a very special evening & one to surely repeat!
