Enoteca da Luca - Guildhall
Thoroughly enjoyed dining here - small and cosy - great food
Lovely food, great service. I’ve been many times and the overall experience is always solid.
Enoteca have managed to keep their wonderful atmosphere whilst putting in all the Covid-safe measures.
Food was as delicious as always.
Staff are charming and very efficient.
So happy this restaurant is open again
Not bad, was expecting the full a la carte menu. Unfortunately they had a very limited lunch menu. Too much salt on everything. Bill definitely higher than expected.
Worth a try, I won’t be going back. Plenty of other Italian restaurants around.
Great friendly service excellent wine, tasty and unique menu selection.. followed by Proper coffee..Hits the Spot
Very cosy atmosphere and good wine, but really unfriendly stuff and not high quality food.
The foods was amazing but the service was non existent unfortunately
I love Italian food. And this was not Italian. I had the risotto and it was so unseasoned and tasted of nothing. In a normal Italian they would offer you Parmesan... there was practically none on the plate. Even the olives at the start didn’t taste of much. The bread was nice. I had the cheesecake to finish and it seriously tasted of whipped mascarpone. Not very yummy for a sweet.
I can’t say the service was that good either.
This definitely much more of a wine bar than a restaurant.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the food but every single member of staff in this restaurant, plus the owner, is Italian. There is of course Parmesan in the risotto and if you had asked we could have brought you some more.
Fabulous food, divine service. Wonderful little treasure in the heart of the City.
What lovely comments, thank you Debbie!
Food was very nice and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable
This was the first time in this location although I had been to the St Paul's venue a number of times. Very friendly and efficient service. Good food with my colleague enjoying a very nicely cooked salmon dish, and I enjoyed some fresh pasta.
Thank you Gary, much appreciated.
Tasty food and wine, though pretty expensive. Waitress was awful though, kept harassing us to order and was grumpy when we asked for more time.
Yikes, that's not good to hear. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
The best Italian in London... proper amazing food and products. And great value!
We waited 20min to be served a glass of wine and another 15min to be given menus. We ended up leaving without ordering
Good wine, unusual and very good snacks/small eats. Pricey but very good quality.
Small restaurant, most of it is actually set up/used as a ber; on arrival the front door was (illegally) propped wide open with a fire extinguisher! Cold air and cigarette smoke for the pavement was freely flowing in, despite it being Winter. We were so cold and eventually asked for the door to be closed.
The service was terrible: there was a young waitress who seemed annoyed, she was just ppouting all the time. The porcini Risotto was completely overcooked and unseasoned, thescamorza fritters did not taste of much at all, couldn't taste the scamorza, which normally has a very strong, smokey flavour: I do not believe they use good quaity ingredients.
The place is so noisy we could not hear each other and the table for 2 was so small that my friend ended up dropping her wine glass: no attempt was made to replace it or even offer her a new glass and we had to wipe the table ourselves.
Very poor and there's nothing remotely Italian or traditional or charming about this place.
Hello, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. It is difficult to know how to respond to your feedback that the service was terrible if you based it on your waitress's facial expression. Similarly I was puzzled by your criticism that the restaurant isn't "remotely Italian"... our whole kitchen team is Italian, and our supplier of scamorza is one of the top Italian restaurant suppliers in London. I don't know why you think it's illegal to prop the front door open; it isn't.
We waited ages to order the food . Our water didn’t turn up after several requests. I wanted to pay cash and I have been told they don’t except 50 pound notes as apparently company policy. This was not mentioned before and there was no sign of it outside as the waitress told me that there is a sign outside . All in all too loud . Good if you want to drink at the bar but not eating dinner or lunch.
Hello, yes it's true that we don't accept £50 notes any longer I'm afraid as the incidence of fraud is so high - criminals are now using techniques that even fool ultraviolet lights we had used to check them.
Nice place to eat in the City
Well received, good service, good food
Staff were really good, and food was delicious. I thought the alcohol was a little on the pricier side, but given the bottles they had they were fairly priced. Just think they should have cheaper options.
Booked with open table and when arrived at the restaurant there was no table available. Restaurant was tiny, loud and overcrowded. I even received a call from the restaurant at 10am because they wanted to make sure I was definitely attending dinner. They didn't reserve a table.never again. Worst experience and awful customer service.
Hello, I'm sorry that we couldn't seat you when you arrived - unfortunately sometimes guests stay much longer than expected and in very busy times this can be challenging to deal with, especially in a small wine bar such as this one. We explained that we had your reservation in our system, we apologised and we offered you a drink on the house while we waited to get you a proper table, but you refused and left.
First time at Enoteca and we had a great time eating and drinking our way across the menu. I wanted to give it a five star review but that would suggest perfection and I want to go back again before I do that! But excellent wine and great food, would highly recommend!
Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Incredible wine. Will be visiting again.
Service was a bit slow with getting mains out - food was great and staff very friendly
Great little find... food and service was really good although one dish didn’t turn up but didn’t really affect enjoyment... definitely go back
Loved the food, loved the staff more. What more do you want? It's slightly pricey, but hey...
I love the deco and the ambience, warm and welcoming. Not a huge choice if you want a main course, but the food is tasty and they were ready to accommodate us when we asked to change the ingredients of a dish we ordered . The service is excellent, attentive, and friendly smiles. This was my second time after 2 years and I will definitely go back. Grazie!
Nice buzzy atmosphere and speedy service.
My favourite restaurant in the City. The food is excellent and the wine list is very good.
Great selection of interesting and different (and very rasty) small plates, and some delicious wines. More wine bar than restaurant (for that, I recommend their Watling Street restauarnt where I've also had a great time).
Great last minute booking - food and location good for informal business discussion
Great place - relaxed and buzzing at lunchtime. Food is excellent - simple well cooked Italian - burrata and tuna we had were delicious. Very interesting wine list with knowledgeable staff who guided us to a white Pinot Noir which was well worth trying. A real find especially in the city.
Great food, great wine, great atmosphere and excellent service
very good ambience for a purposeful business meeting, the service was superb, friendly and knowledgeable
Lovely location and truly Italian food and wine! Good prices and easygoing atmosphere make it a really lovely place to go back again and again
A tad pricey, grilled meat could be served to the diner’s preference but the dishes are great. Personally preferred the bar / dining ambience. Excellent wines and great wine knowledge from Christian!
Great food let down by terrible and intrusive service.
Great food and service.
