Enoteca Boccaccio is an award winning restaurant from the legendary D'Anna family. Situated above Boccaccio Continental Supermarket, it is a destination for some of Melbournes best cheese, salumi, and an Italian/European menu from hatted head chef Andrew Beddoes.

The wine list is a dynamic and ever evolving selection of our favourite wines from local and international producers. It is curated by our team to best reflect the vintages and compliment the menu offering. We offer BYO Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night dinner service and Friday/Saturday lunch service with $20 corkage per bottle.

Another excellent meal at Enoteca Bocaccio. The menu is interesting with many great choices. Can graze on shared small plates, or select salumi. Pasta is beautifully made and simple. Mians are great. Cant go past Tiramisu for dessert. The wine list is extensive with a heavy influence on Italian reds. Elena, sommelier, provides insight and assists in selecting the perfect bottle or two. Service overall is warm and precise. There is a reason this place is so popular! Worth booking in advance for a special night out

Waiting staff are not professional, quite rude. I never saw a waiting staff refilling water with a hand on waist, feel like she is impatient. Instead of asking about the taste of the dishes, waiting staff just went straight to clear the entrée plates. Poor oyster shucking skill and staff should be embarrassed to send that poor oyster to the customer. If i was the staff, i would served another one instead. TASTE ARE okay, a bit heavy for Asian maybe.

We enjoyed our meal, however the risotto was very salty, our other pasta and osso bucco were delicious. The panna cotta again silky and beautiful, but the tiramisu was overly soaked with a deeply bitter after taste. The most overwhelming negative was that it was noisy, and it was difficult as a table of four to be heard. We were sitting in the middle of the tables, perhaps against a wall would be better. Service was friendly and efficient.

An interesting venue with good food.However Enoteca Boccaccio has a number of limitations.On the evening of our dinner,the restaurant was full.The venue is small,crowded and very noisy.Moreover the cost of food and wine was very expensive with the total cost for 4 people of $750.This included sharing 2 small entrees and 4 main courses.

Our party of six greatly enjoyed our dinner at Enotecca Boccaccio. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive and we all felt valued as diners. We got great advice with wine selection. It must be said that the wine menu is as good as anywhere in Melbourne, as you’d expect at a restaurant run by this family. The food was simply sensational. Every course was of the highest standard and we particularly loved the freshly baked cheese topped bread at the start of our meal and the grilled octopus. The pastas were very good also. Enotecca Boccaccio offers fine dining with a casual feel and it is a great place to eat with family and friends.
