Emilia's Crafted Pasta - Aldgate

It was a very good visit. My family had a lovely time and enjoyed the food, burrata and tomato was very good the Fresh pasta was very tasty. The restaurant was beautiful. The staff was great and also was very helpful to our needs. Food came out very quick, price is great! We come back for sure.

Staying in Whitechapel we were looking for somewhere to spend a birthday evening. What a great find. Super fresh food for two veggies. Great ambiance and service. When visiting London again we’d consider staying in this location again in order to eat here. Thanks to all staff for such a lovely night.

I asked the waitress for details regarding the vegan options but she was not that helpful.

Later in the evening one of the chefs burnt something and the room was filled with smoke for a long time before the fire arm went off.

Before I had finished chewing my food, the waitress had removed my plate and therefore I felt rushed and undervalued as a customer

Good food (lamb ravioli was delicious), however, was sat on a table with other parties. Service was ok, but could’ve been better and with a smile.

Lovely little restaurant with a limited menu specialising in home made pastas. Good for a lunch or informal evening meal. Tables are a bit small

Authentic pasta and nice place! to be honest, my pasta was slightly cold but still delicious. V polite staff and good atmosphere, would have scored higher but I tend to disagree with a compulsory service charge and £45 for two mains, drinks and a shared dessert feels slightly overpriced. Overall a good experience though!

After a seriously bad first experience I gave them a second chance a month later and it did not disappoint. Great quality pasta, fantastic burrata (great value for only £7), and a really rich brownie with ice cream.

The atmosphere is very nice, simple yet cosy decor and floor to ceiling windows all around.

Generally great value for a weekday evening catchup dinner with friends. Perhaps the next Franco Manca of pasta, or so I hope.

Overall we had a good experience, with the service and chocolate brownie being exceptional! Both my partner and I were so excited to dine here having followed (and drooled over) the Instagram account for months. I felt the menu was very limited (and when the menu is small one would expect each dish to be exceptional) and we were a little underwhelmed by both our pasta dishes. We also didn't think the music in the background matched the authentic vibe Emilia's is trying to achieve - club music and 'rustic' dishes just don't match for us. I can't stress how great the staff and brownie were however!

My friend recommended this place a while ago and me and my friends decided to check it out. Honestly, everything was really good. I had pesto pasta and it’s to die for. We shared burrata and the waitress recommended to have with both bread and tomatoes and it was a very nice combination! All the staff enjoyed their jobs and was very professional. We also shared the Emilias special dessert and it was delicious. Honestly, the only surprising thing i’ve noticed is that they didn’t have any italian dessert and I would expect them to have Tiramisu. Anyway would totally come back and try all the pastas. Keep it up guys!

Really great service. Staff were super friendly and came over to check if everything was okay during our meal. The food arrived very fast and was amazing.

My wife and I were traveling and tried the first dinner outside in London. The spaghetti was very nice and the tagliatelle was superb.

Had a lovely birthday meal here with friends.. food was absolutely delicious atmosphere was the perfect balance of busy but not so noisy that you can’t hear each other and staff were very friendly and attentive, we all said we’d definitely be back soon :)

Our service was very slow and not personable at all. We felt that staff were much more forthcoming with other patrons. No one came to ask if we even wanted any water for the table, nor were they checking if we needed more drinks once we had finished our drinks. We spent more time trying to get the staff members attention than enjoying our meal.
We asked to deduct the service charge from the bill as we were not happy with our service and the waitress who took our payments was not even courteous enough to say goodbye as one would usually expect.

Extremely too long service for basic food

Very positive experience, would definitely recommend. I had a burrata starter and home made tagliatelle with bolognese ragu'. The pasta dish was outstanding: tagliatelle were perfectly cooked and the sauce was nothing short of what you can get downtown Bologna (where I've been very recently, so my memory is vivid). I'll be back for sure.

Last night with my husband we decided to go to Emilia.We are italians and as all italian our expectations was high for the pasta. Everything was as expected. Pasta was amazing especially if compared to others italian restaurant. Cozy, comfortable, lovely host and wait staff. This was a fantastic way to end our vacation. If we return in London definitely we come back here.

The service was impeccable and the food was incredible. Good burrata to start and the best was Lamb ravioli also the dessert "emilia special" was very tasty. Would recommend.

I went there with my Italian friends... Let me say that the pasta was just great!!! (I guess you can trust an Italian when it comes to pasta). The service was great as well and there was a nice intimate atmosphere. Wonderful night!!!!!!

The pasta I ordered tasted just like flour once it was no longer warm, there wasn’t much sauce to it to being either either. Considering how much we paid, and the portion size, it was not really worth the money.

Some of the best pasta in London! Honestly haven’t stopped thinking about it.

The food is deliscious. the main menu is well thought through. You can swap different types of pasta as well which is great!
The desert options are not so many and lose the Italian authentic feel.

The biggest downside is the atmosphere in the place! Most of it is due to the location. I

It appears that the reputation of this restaurant has been subject to hyperbole. The first noticeable nuisance is the loud generic pop-music which in our case added to the general din created by a group of what seemed to be bachelorettes whose behaviour went unaddressed by the restaurant staff. The white wine arrived like warm and a sympathetic and but somewhat inexperienced waitress suggested that that she provide some ice. The Pasta, unfortunately, was a let down.

Great value, simple and tasty food. Great for a working lunch. Service a little slow, I think they may have been understaffed that shift

The restaurant should really take some of the feedback already about the lighting however :) - It's great the ambiance they're trying to create however it just doesn't work with a menu with small fonts on a dark brown background. Lot of people had the torches on their phones out including me.!
