Food as always amazing and the owners and staff fabulous, can’t do enough. Coffee worth the drive.
Need to book extremely busy.
So amazing, we had the hunter, bubble & squeak and afghani eggs, all meals to die for! Service was sensational, coffee was excellent can’t wait to come back!
Food was sensational! A cocktail to begin the celebrations. Then shared old fashioned potato cakes as a starter. Aioli, guacamole and relish a lovely touch on an old favourite. Followed by two soups to share - chicken and veg, Tuscan meatball. Both WOW. Exceptionally tasty, hearty and perfect for a cool day. Tempted to lick the bowl! The service was very friendly and attentive. We'll be back for sure.
Fabulous food and a really impressive range of choices. The cheese soufflé was envied all around the table. Was lovely for a family birthday lunch - something for everyone.
The service was a little bit disorganized which just let them down a little. Missing cutlery, missed drink orders, overly eager cleaning up.
But overall I’d definitely go back.
Overall it was fantastic to be part of a wholesome food experience in a beautiful part of the Queensland country. The food and wine was quite good. We would refer to it as having high end cafe offerings. We couldn't help however feel that a couple of pointers would have helped our experience - so here they are: Firstly, book ahead and ask for a table either inside or in the lovely courtyard. The verandah looks out onto a carpark - some window glare issues which makes the escape from the city a little redundant. We also witnessed several customers be turned away as they didn't have a reservation. Secondly, make a little song and dance about being seated - so they know you are there. Several customers were left without being seated or served for some time - It may have just been a busy busy day? When we were served, the waitstaff were actually fantastic. Other than that, we enjoyed our experience - just wish the ambience where we were seated matched the food!
The breakfast menu was amazing and there was something for everyone. Staff seemed under pressure and distracted. The lack of a working toilet took the shine off of our visit.
We went to Emeraude for our second visit for our 38th anniversary. The food and service was fantastic and we wouldn't hesitate the restaurant to others and indeed have already. Will definitely return.
Fantastic food. Worth the trip out to Hampton. Best food i have eaten in a while.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch at Emeraude. Interesting menu and very tasty food presented well on the plate including fresh edible flowers.
We have been to Emeraude many, many times and each time is amazing! Worth the drive. The breakfasts are out of this world yummy. Love the atmosphere, ethos, friendly staff, coffee. All amazing!
Always fabulous...what more can I say! Great place to take family and friends when they are visiting from out of town.
Such a great experience each time we have been. Food is devine and coffee is delicious
Beautiful food cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend For any occasion.
Delicious food in a wonderful relaxed setting. We’re already planning our next visit.
I have been here several times now for dinner. Recently I have started coming for breakfast too and the food is so good. I always recommend this place to anyone that ask for great places to eat. The drive from Toowoomba is completely worth it.
Amazing menu and quality produce. Couldn’t find better anywhere in the world.
No. Firstly, i booked a table inside only to be told there was no table inside that we would have to sit outside at a table right next to the entry. It was a very cold and the wind blew right onto your back. Also, terrible service. Waited 45 minutes for our meal.
Beautiful Delicious Breakfast!!! (as always)
Would go back in a heartbeat!
Emeraude is like an Oasis in the middle of a tiny town. It’s not what you would expect to find. Very classy, with an artistic old world vibe, amazing service, and divine food. Highly recommend.
Great food. Lovely setting. Service could be improved a little. We would recommend this cafe.
Really nice food and good range of options. Large serves, left full
The food and environment were amazing. This is one place we will always go to. Thank you for the deliciousness.
Our experience wasn’t up to the usual standard. My partner’s chicken pie looked and tasted like it came from Brumbys, served with a squashed boiled potato and peas! And my chicken soup was tasty but not the big bowl presented beautifully like usual and served with two bits of cheap breadstick. Usually a nicer baguette :(
Lovely experience at Emeraude. Food was delicious and great value for money given the large servings!
Not as good as I was expecting. They were plagued with problems during our visit. They ran out of gas and couldn’t prepare some dishes and had to improvise with others. They had sold out of some popular menu items earlier in the day and not been able to prepare more.
So it wasn’t their best performance for sure.
On the positive side, they scrambled well and did their best to make up for it.
We had a good evening, but being honest, it was not a 5 star performance. I’m sure it isn’t the norm.
It was impressive, on all levels!
Can’t wait to go back for lunch & dinner!
The food, ambience and staff attention was totally wonderful. Only bad stain was the bitterly cold weather which couldn't be avoided.
Fantastic service and food. Booked weeks in advance for an overdue catch up with friends. Between booking and attending, the restaurant decided to hold a special long lunch event the same day as our reservation. Rather than cancelling on us, they honoured our booking and we had the place to ourselves before the long lunch. Outstanding service, everyone was welcoming, attentive and didn't rush us to finish before the long lunch started. The food was delicious too. Thoroughly recommend, you don't get service like that these days.
Amazing wallpaper which sets the mood. Waitress and waiter were the best. Entree and main outstanding and delicious. Value for money. Can't recommend it enough, just outstanding. Definitely will return as we need to have some of those mouth watering deserts. Top restaurant.
Excellent everything, food, meal serves, atmosphere, service, menu outstanding. Can’t wait to return to enjoy again. Love that the restaurant uses local produce.
We decided to try Emeraude after recommendations from friends. I didn't book early enough for a Saturday evening and could only reserve an outdoor table. Fortunately, the weather was warm, but inside looked much cosier for Winter dining. We went with high expectations and were not disappointed.
The waiters were excellent - fun, informed, passionate and helpful (they're smiling as they read this) - well done guys ! The menu was a little difficult to read in the low light but the range of offerings was good. We chose the grilled duck breast and the cassoulet then waited 25 minutes (seemed longer) for delivery to our table. Both meals were delicious (see pictures). Tasting the baguette took me straight back to France. It's difficult to find such bread in Australia, let alone the Toowoomba area. The wine was good as well.
After main course, we had no space for desserts - you would need to be very hungry to eat an entree and main and dessert at Emeraude. Thanks to all the staff for our pleasant dinner.
We'll be back. I'll book earlier next time to secure an indoor table.
The entre and wine was so PERFECT!! Our mains were nice but they bought out two entirely wrong dishes. It took a while for the mains to be served so we didn't want to cause a fuss and just ate them. Other than that, the guy who waited on us was amazing!
The service was outstanding and the food was exceptional. Creative meals using foods sourced locally made the meal feel one of kind. Enjoyable relaxed atmosphere. Emeraude lived up to every recommendation I’d heard. I’ll be back.
We dined at emeraude for my wifes birthday. The food was excellent , all of the courses were above expectations and we would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone wishing for an extraordinary dining experience. At the end of the night we were not charged for our desert as a gift for my wifes birthday .will definitely be back.
Visited Emeraude with a girlfriend to celebrate my 50th birthday after seeing it advertised in the Courier Mail and on The Great Southeast - so many choices on the menu for brunch. Staff were very helpful when it came to deciding what to eat. Noise level was great - not too loud. Service was fabulous. Nothing to fault! Definitely will be coming again.
It was lovely to get out of town for a great food experience! I had the Cassoulet which I would have to say was the best I have had since the “Cassoulet Festival” in Castelnaudary France! Fabulous thank you! It is a pity the tables are not a little better presented considering the food is not cheap. A table cloth and linen napkins would add to the presentation! Will recommend to family and friends. Thank you!
We go to Emeraude quite often and always find the food amazing! Unfortunately this time my meal was extremely dry. I was very disappointed however the staff were very helpful and couldn’t fault anything else.
Had a wonderful lunch at Emeraudes. The food presentation was first class and the meals were delicious.
The eclairs for dessert were a highlight. The staff were so friendly, cheerful, attentive and helpful. Excellent wine list to choose from and the coffee was brilliant. I am not “an influencer” and paid for the meal we so enjoyed. Well worth the drive from the other side of Toowoomba. Can’t wait to go back.
Amazing place to eat and relax. Staff are amazing and the food is incredible. Well worth the price. Will come back again and highly recommend
