Fantastic meal. We did the 4 course banquet and so much food. Absolutely delicious. Cocktails and wine very good also. Will be back.
Everybody loved the food and thought it was excellent value for money. The service was excellent and most of our table said they would like to return to Elyros.
Great food, premium set menu was good, only perhaps the truffle pasta was on the saltier side for my taste but everything else was great. The appetizers to start were top notch. Loved the fava, sort of like a Greek hummus dip. Lamb for main course was fantastic, very nice winter dish. Rich and satisfying. They went above and beyond by bringing my fiancée a piece of cake saying happy birthday for dessert as I had requested. Fantastic and very attentive service.
Beautiful food and attentive service. A table of kids sitting near us was annoying (separate to their parents) not the sort of place I’d bring my children on a Saturday night, but hey. Otherwise beautiful ambience, decor and a delicious 4 course dinner!
The restaurant had an excellent vibe, food was full of flavour and the service was outstanding. Would highly recommend Elyros to friends and family who are looking for an authentic Greek restaurant with a modern twist. The twelve of us really enjoyed the modern greek food and the delicious range of wines that was on offer.
Food was very tasty and delicious. Staff very understanding and suggested recommendation were excellent.
We had decided to make sure when we visited Melbourne to dine at your restaurant after watching Chef,s Line. We live 500 kms away.
That is how long we have been waiting .
However your restaurant was very hard to locate, even though we had the street number.
We walked up & down , the sandwich board was a clue but even so it looked closed.
Why not put a tasteful big number on the door, and a horizontal street sign under the verandah.
For short people it is hard to see into the restaurant so all the more reason to make sure your easily identified.
The food was superb and the service also, and we will return
We loved everything about it, from the minute we were welcomed by Angie to the service provided by all wait people to the amazing & yummy food! The service and food were impeccable! Thank you, we’ll be back very soon :) Andi
It was a very quiet Wednesday night in winter with a cosy table by the fire.
We enjoyed an interesting and diverse tasting menu with excellent food and service, and would highly recommend Elyros restaurant.
Amazing food, prompt service and a great vibe. The fire place was perfect on a cold rainy evening!.
Great evening, fabulous food, highly recommend. Fabulous with friends as meals can be easily shared.
The food was yummy. Atmosphere good. Waiter OUTSTANDING - so friendly, helpful and accommodating (since we had a 2yo with us), and very courteous. Thank you for making it a great experience for us. I’m coming back with a group of girlfriends next.
Cold feeling Marble tables, put a table cloth over them, much more comfortable and welcoming
Fantastic food and amazing wine selection! Nicky looked after us very well
Overall, Elyros was excellent - delicious food, just the right amounts and beautifully presented. The service was faultless and our wait staff were very knowledgeable about the food and it’s traditions. My only complaint would be about the sound level and choice of background music. It was too loud and jarringly inappropriate. Some gentle background Greek music would have been much more welcome.
It was a relatively quiet night so staff attention was a plus. Staff really friendly and service was great. Staff's food recommendation was honest, and we had plenty. Overall the food quality was good but not great (for a one-hat rated restaurant). Still a very pleasant evening.
We took a friend, who is caeliac, to Elyros for her birthday lunch and were extremely pleased with the way she was catered for, they really had an understanding of her requirements. The meal was delicious, except for the lamb which was extremely fatty. The wine list catered for all budgets and we particularly liked the Casa Red wine. The staff were friendly and had a good knowledge of the food they were serving. Great place for Sunday lunch.
We Just enjoyed a good dinner, good service and the environment a little bit quite, we would like to
listen music a little bit loud so the other people couldn't hear our conversation but definitely we would like to came back.
Brilliant restaurant, had the premium "feed me" menu which was excellent value @$70 each. Food was varied, delicious and not overpowering. The wines were selected for us to match the menu, one white, one red, both Greek. Again excellent, mid priced, and perfectly matched. Service was also great, efficient, unobtrusive, friendly. A very generous restaurant in all ways, would highly recommend to all.
My second time at Elyros. This time took my mum for her 88 birthday. The staff treated her like a princess. It was very special.
We go to Elyros once a month for the great food, wine and service.
Highly recommended. Lois and Ian.
Fantastic food, amazing service and great atmosphere
Service staff were flexible and understanding. We’re able to easily accommodate tables dietary requirements that exceeded my expectations.
Really enjoyed our night and will definitely return!
Elyros is a wonderful restaurant. Great Cretan food and wine list. We go on average once a month and would highly recommend.
Loïs and Ian.
Lovely meal, delightfully presented and great value for money.
Fantastic food - especially the lamb. A bit noisy but that got better as the night went on and people left. Great service.
Elyros is brilliant. Delicious food, wine and perfect service. You feel spoilt and valued but it is not an overly fussy experience. The set menus are great value.
Great night out with friends with lovely wines and food. Looking forward to going again.
A lovely dinner. Food was excellent. Service outstanding with marvellous wine to compliment the fine food. Highly recommended although at $100/head it may not suit everyone's budget.
Always very consistent with the quality and service and some very fine Greek wines. Excellent restaurant.
although we live locally we had never been to Elyros. I saw the chef on a TV programme and thought we should give it a try. It was very good - even though we are not much into shared plates, the waiter went through our options carefully and we chose a set menu which gave us delicious choices and plenty of it too. we had great service and plan to go back there soon.
Great night, great service, great food, will definitely return. Thanks to Guy and the team
Came here for our anniversary dinner and ordered the four course tasting menu. Service was excellent, friendly and could not be faulted. Entrees started off well, with tasty fava dip, olives and feta. The yuzu salmon was delightful and refreshing. Here the food went downhill. The main was the lamb, and it was bland and not appetizing. The grain salad was stodgy (only plus was the bursts of pomegranate). The chips were nicely cooked but very salty. The dessert was mediocre. We came mid week so perhaps the kitchen wasn't at its finest, but we have had better food elsewhere.
Perfect sharing plates with outstanding service. Thoughtful kids meal
Food good, but portions small & does become very pricey! We were very disappointed with a waitress aswell who refused to take a photo of us because she was not happy with a comment that was made by someone from our table, even though it was not directed to her, and had absolutely nothing to do with her! It was a comment that was directed purely to himself! If this waitress is going to be soooo sensitive & reactive, then she should NOT be serving customers, or expose herself to different groups of people that may use different language or ways of expressing themselves!! It had absolutely nothing to do with her!! My advice is: Stick to your job!! You are NOT ALWAYS going to like what you hear whilst working!!
The restaurant was lovely, I’ll be recommending it to friends and returning myself.
It’s great that this survey asks about noise. I rated Elyros as quiet. I’m not sure if it was but I didn’t notice a problem and that is a huge win for me. I am so tired and grumpy from restaurants where the music is way too loud and inappropriate for the restaurant. Worse still it is often not music at all but a synthetic percussion that would drive a sane person to distraction.
My friend & I elected to have the smaller lunch special, $45 for a selection of small courses, about the price of entree+main. Food was lovely, very good olive oil and bread and waitperson accommodating, swapped coffee for dessert (we were full). Interesting wine list including many Greek wines (and I only looked at the by-the-glass list), of which the waitperson was knowledgeable, and allowed me to taste before committing. Excellent service.
We had such a great dinner Xmas catch up at Elyros! Service was great and food outstanding (lots of it!!). Cocktail with Gin and cucumber was one worth returning for!
Elyros has amazingly delicious cretan food. We cannot fault it. We were there last Saturday night with another couple so 4 of us. The noise was absolutely dreadful we could hardly hear the person sitting directly opposite. What a shame because we love this restaurant! I know the restaurant can't control the noise level but on a Saturday night it's quite unbearable. We probably wouldn't go again with another couple cause we had so much trouble hearing.my husband even has noise reduction ear pods which he wore....But you shouldn't have to do that in a restaurant. Love the food though it's amazing!!
Is there some noise absorption that the restaurant could implement??
