Elm Dining

It was set in a beautiful older style building. We were seated in a room which had 2 tables. The service was very good and prompt. We chose the 2 course option. There were a few selections for each of the course. After the 2 courses, we were not able to accomodate desserts. The food were very delicious and flavoursome. The servings were also generous. We will definitely dine at Elm again if we were up that way. Highly recommended.

Food was lovely, and staff were very pleasant. We would def recommend fir a romantic night out.

Another lovely Anniversary Dinner at Elm. Lovely service and delicious food.
I would appreciate a table cloth to complete the package. And even though I chose sparkling water, $10 a bottle is a bit steep.
I do recommend this restaurant to friends and we will return!

Interesting menu and wine list. Excellent flavours and attentive service. Slightly disappointed by size of my crab and macadamia starter - delicious but not quite enough. Similarly the side dish of green beans and peaches, while perfectly matched, was much too small. All other dishes were excellent and beautifully presented - so the small negatives were more than outweighed by the many positives.

Lovely old home and comfortable dining areas. The food was good but not outstanding. The wine was good and generous. We were disappointed with the service as some staff were unable to answer questions about the food and we had to repeat some requests.

We asked if they had a kids menu or any chips- abrupt response was NO with no explaination of what was the alternative!
We both ordered a meat dish and it was full of fat- mine was a porterhouse with no steak knife provided.
Very small dishes also and overpriced for the quality. You will still be hungry afterwards so Eat before or after you leave! Disappointing considering it is a fine dining restaurant.

On entering the building I was in awe, I love history and the beautiful buildings it brought us. The staff, were so obliging and helpful. The food was delicious and I must add the chocolate dessert was something very special...the wines we chose, were of locals. Highly Recommend..

We would appreciate tablecloths and allotted one waiter for our table not just who was available.

Amazing dining experience at Elm. Had the degustation menu and it was all fantastic. Located in a historic building in the middle of town. Make sure you add this restaurant on your must visit list.

Lovely setting in small dining area contributed to the gentle ambience. Service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Spanner Crab entree was light and refreshing. Porterhouse (him) and Lamb Rump (her), accompanied with a side of mint beans, was cooked perfectly. Fairly pricey but we were expecting and prepared for a special experience and feel we received this. Definitely Recommend.

Fabulous food, excellent service, would highly recommend

The staff and service was perfect. We got the crab to start and loved it. Ordered the steak medium - was tasty but overcooked and definitely not the best cut of steak for $55 with a small potato cake as the only accompaniment to the plate.
The pickled cucumber side was delicious!
Opted for espresso martinis instead of dessert and would definitely recommend.
Overall experince was great - a nice treat! But disappointed by our mains!

Lovely Food and Service in Beautiful Quiet Old House. The degustation was a great way to try the menu.

We had an outside table on a warm night so the conditions were perfect. Food was how we remembered it back in the Simone days and service was first rate. An enjoyable night’s dining.

Lovely atmosphere and service was excellent. The food was a mixed bag....the steak was superb and the bean, peach, onion and mint salad was also first class. An entre of dehydrated carrot with trimmings was disappointing.

Thoroughly recommend the Degustation menu. It was very creative and filling. Service was excellent and prices reasonable.

The degustation menu was varied and of excellent quality, although I do believe it was quite over-priced. (However, given the trials of the past year in the business, this can be forgiven!)
Service and ambience: outstanding as usual.

We booked a table with 2 kids even though there were no kids menu. This was no problem cause the staff just made kids portions. Very good experience. Fantastic food and sublime service.

Every dish was cooked perfectly and staff were very attentive without overwhelming. Not cheap but would recommend for a date night.

The food was absolutely beautiful! Each part unique with flavour, aroma & stunning presentation. A great team of staff who knew their menu, yet also had some personality, engaged in conversation & genuinely friendly.
