Fabulous food, excellent service, would highly recommend
The staff and service was perfect. We got the crab to start and loved it. Ordered the steak medium - was tasty but overcooked and definitely not the best cut of steak for $55 with a small potato cake as the only accompaniment to the plate.
The pickled cucumber side was delicious!
Opted for espresso martinis instead of dessert and would definitely recommend.
Overall experince was great - a nice treat! But disappointed by our mains!
Lovely Food and Service in Beautiful Quiet Old House. The degustation was a great way to try the menu.
We had an outside table on a warm night so the conditions were perfect. Food was how we remembered it back in the Simone days and service was first rate. An enjoyable night’s dining.
Nice place to celebrate a special occasion. We had the degustation menu and couldn’t fault it. Highly recommended.
Too much fruit in dishes. Complexity, quality and portions did not align with price.
Bright, Victoria, and going out for a special dining experience in one of my favourite place, just lovely.
Lovely atmosphere and service was excellent. The food was a mixed bag....the steak was superb and the bean, peach, onion and mint salad was also first class. An entre of dehydrated carrot with trimmings was disappointing.
Thoroughly recommend the Degustation menu. It was very creative and filling. Service was excellent and prices reasonable.
Amazing food! Highly recommend the fig desert! Waiters were accommodating and attentive!
Food was fine not very tasty...tiny portions over priced .. trying to be something it isnt... staff bit odd awkward overall fine nothing special for price
The degustation menu was varied and of excellent quality, although I do believe it was quite over-priced. (However, given the trials of the past year in the business, this can be forgiven!)
Service and ambience: outstanding as usual.
We booked a table with 2 kids even though there were no kids menu. This was no problem cause the staff just made kids portions. Very good experience. Fantastic food and sublime service.
Every dish was cooked perfectly and staff were very attentive without overwhelming. Not cheap but would recommend for a date night.
Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend.
One of the 3 best degustations in my life. Amazing.
The food was absolutely beautiful! Each part unique with flavour, aroma & stunning presentation. A great team of staff who knew their menu, yet also had some personality, engaged in conversation & genuinely friendly.
Great food in a wonderful heritage building. Superb local produce and wines. Friendly and informative staff. Strongly recommend.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, we will definitely be returning during our next visit in bright.
The service is just wonderful. So professional and yet very welcoming and friendly. They strike the balance between a more formal dining experience whilst maintaining the beautiful relaxed atmosphere you expect in Bright.
The menu celebrates the ingredients, with clever combinations that don’t try too hard and instead deliver a delicious and considered dining experience.
The degustation was amazing, cocktails perfect and the staff were all fabulous. Will be back next time we are in town.
After reading excellent reviews on this restaurant, six of us were looking forward to dining here. It would have to be one of the worst meals I and my fellow diners had ever had. The menu variety could have had a few more choices, it was very limited and none of it sounded very inviting. Four of us had the lamb dish which was tough and tasteless, it was rare and swimming in a brown tasteless liquid containing raw peas and broad beans. This dish was over $40 and 4 of us had side dishes. The potato and spinach Side dish was good the cucumber salad dish was not good. Two of us had open rabbit ravioli, not one part of this dish tasted like rabbit. The wine list was far too expensive.
The service and ambience was excellent.
Looked forward to dining at Elms. Very disappointed with the menu & even more so with the meals. Only one of the four of us was happy with his selection. Staff were lovely but we won't be coming back or recommending to others.
Food was amazing & loved all the pairing wines. Could not fault the service. A must for all who travel to Bright!!!
The food we had was pleasant however we found the menu to be be very limited and a bit too esoteric for our liking. Service was attentive but I was amazed when the waitress reached across me to take my side plate, rather than come around to my side to clear. She also cleared the bread platter before my husband had finished eating.
Lovely professional and friendly service, food was full of spectacular flavours, pitty it didn’t come with matching wines but overall great! Highly recommended:)
We tried the menu degustation for 95 pp. In my opinion, the menu is very expensive for the quantiy of food offered. It is not enought for that price. The quality of the food is very poor. It is better to choose the normal menu instead of the degustation menu.
We went to this restaurant in the wonderful village of Bright with high expectations and got out very disappointing.
On the other hand, the service is good.
No disabled access made the evening difficult for my husband who uses crutches.
Hello Vickie, Thank you for your review. We do have disabled access and amenities. However, due to the buildings age and heritage listing it is not always ideal. In our FAQ's on our website we do cover information on this and have asked for guests to call prior to their booking so that we can accommodate persons with disabilities to the best of our ability which includes offering closer parking on site and better access to our disabled entry.
Absolutely beautiful food, great wine and excellent service in the most delightful environment.
Located in a beautiful historic building, Elm has a wonderful atmosphere. The service was personal and attentive, and the degustation menu 1st rate.
As always the food at Elm Dining was fabulous, the staff were very friendly, the atmosphere welcoming.
Our favourite place to eat in Bright
Booked in during COVID restrictions but the restaurant had handled the changes admirably. We had the 5 course degustation which featured a range of locally grown produce cooked and presented beautifully. Overall the meal and service was excellent.
Thoughly enjoyed the degustation menu. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Always good to see interesting collaboration. Shame its closing down again.
Beautiful meal & great service. Highly recommend for any occasion
absolutely beautiful and delicious meal. Service was friendly and very attentive.
