The staff is friendly and respectful. Their pandemic protocol is impeccable.

We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food. The food was okay.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly owners. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Mediterranean cuisine. The wine list is reasonably priced. The portions are quite generous. This was our third visit and we will certainly return soon.

We enjoyed everything about Elissar. The food was excellent, very fresh and elegantly presented. The service was pleasant and efficient and the Lebanese wine has become our new favourite. I especially like the quality stemware, flatware and dinner service. A visit from the owner to ensure that we were enjoying our meal was much appreciated.

The food was good and very fresh, which is important and the saving grace for our experience dining here on Mother's Day. I had made the reservation well in advance and stopped by to confirm it 3 days earlier and to see if I could choose a table because we were 7 people. When we arrived our table had been given out. Strike 1. There was not a single flower on the table, no Happy Mother's Day greeting. Strike 2
The waiter who was super frazzled, wished me a Happy Birthday! So we just srtarted to laugh. Olives and pickled turnips were given out to diners who arrived after us and we had to ask for ours. We really did enjoy the food that we ordered. We had to ask for our bill. When the waiter brought it he suggested we check if it was accurate. It was not. We didn't expect it to be. Anyways the food was good, wait staff frazzled, quite a few hiccus and actually quite comical. There seemed to be chaos everywhere, not a good sign. Strike 3?

We loved our experience at Elissar. The food was delicious. We had various appetizers like hummus and fattouche. For the main course, we had the shish kebab and it was amazing. We tried Lebanese wine for the first time and it was very nice. Last but not least, our server was extremely attentive and helpful with his suggestions. We will definitely be going back!

Outstanding, as always. If you haven’t at least TRIED Elissar, you need to put that right, immediately - and you will instantly become a regular.
Authentic Lebanese food, prepared with skill and love; friendly and knowledgeable service; decent wine list too.
Be prepared for the temptation of licking your plate clean, and always say ‘yes’ to pickled turnip!

This was our third visit to Elissar. My wife and I are both of Syrian descent and we make many of the dishes on the menu, which makes us even more difficult to please when it comes to fine Lebanese/Syrian cuisine. So we mean it when we say that we've never been disappointed in Elissar. It's more than not being disappointed - we are delighted to eat here. The ingredients are always fresh (the fatouche is amazing!), the presentation outstanding, the prices (including the wine) very reasonable, the decor charming, and the service, above all else, incomparably friendly and courteous. We have the good fortune of living about five minutes away, but we would urge anyone to make the trip to enjoy the food, the staff and the ambiance of this little jewel of Lebanese dining.

We had a lovely evening despite the horrible weather. Not many people but the food was excellent as always as well as the attention to details.

Really nice option driving from Montreal! The 30 minutes drive is worth the service.
