The chefs specialise in delicious, authentic Sri Lankan and North Indian food, serving a menu that changes with the seasons, and use only the freshest ingredients.
With an extensive a la carte menu and a buffet on Sundays, as well as a wide range of take away dishes, everyone is sure to find something that will keep them coming back!
Try our mud crab curry, hoppers or kotthu roti, or something from our tandoor. We have wattalapam for those with a sweet tooth, and a cocktail menu to pair with your food.
Such an authentic dining experience and great atmosphere. Lion lager is worth a try as well!
Too loud music spoilt what was otherwise a good evening. We met friends for a meal and to catch up and this was almost impossible.
It was a wonderful evening spent at EC. Food and the service is really good. Love to be there again.
Definately the best Sri Lankan restaurant I have been to in Melbourne.
Great friendly staff. Food is average but overall priced. Roti is hard as paper towel.
There are amazing choices on the menu, it took us a while to eliminate things and finally settle because we wanted everything.
The serves are very generous and we found we had ordered too much but they happily gave us a takeout container and we had our yummy left overs for lunch the next day.
The flavours in the food are wonderful, it was my first visit and I could taste a big difference from Indian food and Sri Lankan food.
Very happy to be planning a return trip soon, book for a Wednesday night they were full by 7.00
The food and the service was very good. however, the seating position was very bad. too close to other tables and there is no privacy.
Very difficult to talk freely due the close seating positions.
Food great..service needs to improve. Staff need to be more vigilant and attentive. Food ordered needs to come out together. Timing is bad but food worth a visit
Simply wonderful. Every dish we had was unique in flavors. The wait staff were very helpful patient and friendly. The pork, deviled chicken, the king fish , egg plant list goes on was mouth watering. Maybe experiment a little more with desserts.
These guys are brilliant. By far the best Sri Lankan you'll get anywhere, even in Sri Lanka.
The food wasn’t good. We had to wait for a long time. The staff wasn’t cooperating that much. Even though we booked for 9 people the space was a bit tight. We all were sick the next day. The food was really bad.😔😔
Just so accommodating, great staff who know how to enhance a dining experience, well done and thanks guys!
We had the Sri Lankan menu which was completely authentic. Saffron rice, black pork curry, red prawn curry, dhal and bitter gourd salad. Pappadums. All superb. Wattalapam for dessert.
We've been looking for a place in Melbourne to enjoy a curry to rival those in the UK and have finally found one.
The sri lankan beef curry was a standout.
The table next to us had an amazing looking Crab Curry, which we will be back to order for ourselves very soon!
My one suggestion to others is to allow 10-15 minutes to find a parking space as it was incredibly busy in the precinct on a Friday evening. Believe me, it's worth it!
We were late due to some car issues but they didn't cancel our booking. The service was great and always have been. Highly recommend the crab curry and butter chicken. My mother also had some health concerns so she couldn't eat the food there, but because it was my brother's and dad's birthday, the restaurant was happy to sit her with us at the table and she was able to eat her food that had to be cooked from home cause of her health requirements. Thank you again for making this special occasion amazing
It was a wonderful night. It was my friend''s first time and she enjoyed it immensely. Great food, very good service in excellent company. This is my sixth time here and I have regularly recommended to friends and family.
overall it was good
Just one concern , when I booked there was a section for "special request", I had made some requests because of a special occasion, but it was not considered, nor any of them even said anything about it. It was just ignored.
Very tasty food. Attentive service. Will go again to try more dishes.
Excellent food, service rushed and a bit slow. Restaurant was too noisy. But food compensated for that. Will go again
We often pop into the restaurant. Always quick and friendly service plus the food is excellent!
This local restaurant has absolutely delicious food and is great value - what a bonus! The chilli cheese naan is next level and the Sri Lankan beef curry was nearly as good as my Mum’s...and that’s no easy achievement! The hoppers are so fresh and the salt & pepper calamari left us wanting more! We can't wait to go back and try all the other dishes. Highly recommend.
Tasty Sri Lankan food. Enjoy it every time we visit
It’s really loud in your restaurant. Too many people in such a small space. I could not wait to leave. Your food is lovely and the service is great but the noise level makes it really unpleasant to stay
Great food and lovely staff. Our names and booking were not noted when we arrived so we received a call about the table whilst at the restaurant. Was not a fan of the large open windows with people walking past with cigarettes but otherwise wonderful and will return.
The chilli chocolate mousse was die for!!! One of the best desserts that I've tasted.
The service was great and the food fantastic. It was noise but that is to be expected. All done to all staff.😁
Excellent food however not happy at all with not being allowed to take home the bottle of wine I purchased off the Menu.
No where else have I experienced this???
This was our first time and I must say we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, the service and the friendly staff,
Our chilli mud crab was the best ever and we look forward to a return visit,
No longer do I have to wait to return to Singapore for one if not my favourite meals.
Thank you to the chef and staff at Elephant corridor.
One of our favourite places! Food is always consistently fantastic! Not one bad thing off the menu (and we’ve tried a lot of it!)
Food is spectacular! Even our 6 year absolutely loves the egg hopper and devoured the tandoori chicken.
Few criticisms though..
(Bear in mind we have a young child, so our booking was for 5pm)
Restaurant open time is 5pm. We were there 5-10 mins earlier and weren’t allowed in to be seated.
We weren’t allowed to order hoppers when not 5.30pm yet, even when it is like 10 mins away when we started our order. Why not order in one go, prepare the order when times up.
We won’t mind the wait for good quality food.
Apart from that, brilliant.. Have already recommended to our friends :-)
Great food.Good value.Just a little loud but overall great!
Dined with a friend for dinner. Been here once before so was nice to return and food was just as good as I remembered. Really tasty flavours and lots of variety in the menu, something for everyone. Restaurant was quite busy so got very noisy.
Delicious food never been disappointed. Thus place us always busy but worth it
We love coming here for dinner, great location, decor is authentic, food is fantastic and the service is always with a smile. Can’t fault it.
Very good food. Very good service. Can be too crowded on weekends!
lovely place the service was fantastic, food delicious the only negative is that it was a little noisy but overall a wonderful experience.
The food was amazing, first time there and will return. Quite close seating and a little noisy, however very enjoyable thanks guys.
There are two things I would suggest - the music is loud and inappropriate. The food is all delicious. Price is reasonable but could be a little better value. I do love the beef curry and desserts particularly though.
Food was up tp the usual excellent standard.
Milk Hoppers are expensive for what you get.
Service is excellent, with attentive and extremely polite and friendly staff.
