The tasting menu was a unique and wonderful experience!
Outstanding food, outstanding service, outstanding experience.
A truly special dinner, paired with exceptional wines. We splurged on the premium pairing and I thought it was fantastic. Everything was paced well, service was attentive. A gem in Princeton, great place to share a special occasion meal with friends.
Great culinary experience, the sommelier was very informative.
Just go. It’s awesome. It’s really great that a restaurant like this is in Princeton. Usually you have to go to Philly or NYC to experience something similar.
It’s high end but down to earth. No snooty waiters. Everyone who came to our table was friendly. My wife was freaked out by the smoked quail egg but the chef who brought it was very cool about it and told her to just pop the egg in her mouth. She thought it was great. The rib eye might have been the best I ever had.
OUTSTANDING in every way. We feel so fortunate to have elements in Princeton. It is as good as any restaurant we have eaten in NYC and the value is significantly better. The room is relaxing and you can hear your guests. It just doesn't get any better. Bravo and thank you to Scott and his team!
This small, elegant, and beautifully quiet restaurant is exceptional. The cooking is imaginative and flavorful, and the produce remarkably good (best pheasant ever). The staff is attentive, courteous, and graceful, although one or two servers still seem to be learning their craft. But this is incontestably the most impressive restaurant in Princeton and indeed in the entire New Jersey area. The menus are created with an emphasis on quality rather than broad choice. The wine list is first-rate, and to my pleasure this is the only restaurant locally to carry the exceptional Sancerre of Gérard Boulay. Prices tend to be high, but they are wholly appropriate for the superb cuisine, atmosphere, and service. The total absence of noise, music, and general bustle allows diners to savor everything that is put before them, and to enjoy a leisurely conversation.
This is an amazing restaurant. I can't put into words how delicious the food was and how great the atmosphere is. I had the Chef's Tasting set, with standard wine pairing. It's one of the most unique dining experiences I've ever had. Second only to my kaiseki experience in Kyoto, Japan.
This is also a very very high-end experience as well. I walked into this knowing I would be paying much more than usual. It was close to the same price of a kaiseki dinner that I have eaten in Japan. Be prepared, and don't be surprised with the bill.
This was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday. We loved the attention not to mention the excellent food. Outstanding!!!
A culinary experience like no other. It went beyond the food tasting wonderful or the wine pairing being superb. It opened my eyes to the way food can be transformed into the ethereal. Both myself and my girlfriend were transfixed by this wondrous experience. Everyone deserves to treat themselves to an experience like this at least once. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth every penny and far more? Absolutely!
Great first time experience which was for a special wine and truffle tasting menu. Looking forward to coming back for the regular menu soon. Very creative, elegant and well thought out overall experience.
This is an outstanding restaurant that has maintained the incredibly high standard of excellence.
Loved the boot leg tape of the Jerry Garcia band’s cover of Bob Dylan’s Tangled up in blue!
The restaurant was amazing. They limit the number of tables so it was an intimate setting and the design is great. The chefs tasting was excellent, variety of foods, textures, and flavors, and the presentation was like nothing we’ve ever seen. I highly recommend Elements for any special occasion.
Best restaurant in Princeton. Consistently excellent.
I loved the experience! Definitely a good place for a special occasion.
Granddaughter’s belated birthday.
My wife and I search out chef's samplings for special occasions. Elements did not disappoint! The food was outstanding. The service was great. I had the wine flight, she had the beer flight and both were perfect.
The food and service were excellent and we especially enjoyed the artistic presentation of several of the courses. The smoked quail eggs served in an actual nest was delightful. While each course was delicious, on balance, the meal was heavy. We would have enjoyed more of a fresh vegetable emphasis. Also, the automatic addition of a 20% gratuity for a table of 2 was insulting.
Simply the best in every way.
Excellent food and usually attentive service. Quiet small restaurant. On the pricey side.
They provider excellent food and service in Princeton. They are the first restaurant that say 'Welcome Back' to us. They also listened carefully to your needs when making reservation.
5 course menu was creative and excellent. Japanese Aji sashimi was very interesting and the sirloin with maple syrup was excellent. Service sub par, forgot to take our orders and just put menus on the table without any explanation. Sommelier was excellent, enthusiastic and knew his stuff. The atmosphere is not very exciting, felt like having dinner in a conference room (we were seated in the back room) with old furniture and basically no decorations. I was surprised to see that 20% tip was added to the check for a party of 2. I assume that the restaurant is not very confident about the quality of the service.
Every course had its own WOW factor and the staff was outstanding. The wine steward could have been more generous, though. Two sips of wine for each serving was light-handed in our opinion....but the selection was excellent...maybe that's why we wanted more :)
Great presentation and innovative food menu makes it perfect place for dining
Amazing ambiance and great food, definitely worth your money, I would surely be back
This is a 'special occasion' kind of restaurant, but absolutely worth it. The service is incredibly attentive and pleasant, and the food is both interesting and pleasing. My partner has a seafood aversion, and the restaurant was able to come up with different but complementary dishes so that we could still share the same experience. Elements is probably the best quality restaurant I've ever been to, and I don't say that lightly. We save up to make reservations for my partner's birthday once a year, and we always look forward to it and are never disappointed.
We did the 4 coarse menu with the wine pairing . Chef brought out a smoked quail egg that was so perfect it was hard to follow!! Scallops were probably the week dish . But not that it was bad just not a wow. But great job and a great over all experience!
The food was no question phenomenal. The staff was super friendly. The chef is amazing and I will definitely coming back for more of his dishes, as well as the grand tasting menu!
Food was fantastic, however, I just felt like a regular patron and a regular restaurant. I specifically left details regarding our anniversary in hopes of something different such as privacy or even a “happy anniversary” but received nothing. Don’t get me wrong-the food was great and they even catered to my wife’s dietary restrictions but that was it. I’ve been to several similar establishments for our special day and was always acknowledged for our day. Most other places have also added something such as a “complimentary champagne toast”.
Food was great-service was pretty good too. Just don’t expect anything above and beyond if you like that sort of thing.
Thoroughly enjoyed the 5 course dinner with wine pairings. Servers outstanding and knowledgeable. Unique flavors and creative plating. Great place for that special occasion. Have been to all the Princeton area restaurants and Elements is in a league of its own.
One of the best dining experiences we ever had. The food presentations and taste were beyond amazing!! Look foward to returning.
It was excellent!!
Every meal on tasting menu was great, accommodates great for celiacs and gluten free, and loved the card they all had signed for our anniversary
Creative combination of flavor, ingredient based food. Casual friendly but upscale. Nice touch to have the chefs come present their dishes.
Elements is the finest eating establishment I've ever been to. The wait staff was polite and did their jobs in a very professional manner without being overbearing. The food was beautifully prepared and the presentation was incredible. The food was better than anything I have ever tasted. The chefs came out and personally presented the dishes to us as well as explained where each food item came from and how to best experience the flavor combinations. I will absolutely be back in the future.
A wonderful experience!
This is THE best restaurant in Princeton township. Surprisingly delicious foods with kind chefs' introduction to them. Be aware that it may take ~180min to finish the whole meal so do plan ahead.
This was my first experience in fine dining and I was not disappointed. 10/10 phenomenal food and an experience to remember for a lifetime. Loved everything about this restaurant.
