El Novillo Restaurant is a family owned and operated Latin American (Nicaraguan) Steakhouse, that has been operating its multiple locations in South Florida since the 1980s. We specialize in serving, Churrascos, cut from lean tenderloins that are grilled and marinated in our homemade fresh
Chimichurri sauce.
We also serve 100% all-natural chicken breast, shrimp, fish, pork, and various other selections. Appetizers include fried cheese, refried beans, small meat tacos with sour cream, and more.
Finish your meal with our traditional Tres Leches& sponge cake, Carmel Flan, or Pio-Quinto rum sponge cake.

Guillermo our waiter was amazing, we told him that we were bringing new friends to the restaurant and he made sure our guests were treated to the best service as usual and described every dish with gusto, knowledge and a smile to his face. It is always a great churrasco, but tastes better when the ambiance is just as great. We will be back and our guests just discovered a new favorite!!

After more than two years, I was in the area and decided to have lunch at El Novillo. The ambiance was just as I remembered. I was greeted with friendly smiles and warm welcomes. Designed like a Nicaraguan hacienda/ traditional colonial courtyard a fountain is surrounded by tables in the center of the room, while booths occupy the periphery. I chose a booth, which was a bit more secluded and cozy. At lunch, they offer an executive lunch menu, which has a little of everything. My waiter recommended the Churrasco. A simple salad with fresh garlic toasted bread was the starter and part of the meal. Accompanied with gallo pinto (beans and rice), crisp plantain chips, and maduros(fried sweet plantains), the meat was cooked exactly as I ordered it. The waiter brought over a trio of “sauces” as well, which included Chimichurri(chopped parsley sauce), Cebollita(pickled onion/carrot/jalapeno), and Salsa Marinara(sweet/sour tomato based). Everything was delicious. The price for the lunch was on the more expensive side, but well worth it, in my opinion, as a treat. This location is popular for special occasions and business lunches; or like me, a treat for myself, just because. The consistency was just as I remembered those many years ago.
