Good food, good service and yummy margaritas.
Food was delicious! Blood orange margarita was to die for! Can’t wait to go back!
Great food, lovely atmosphere. Service slow but we were not in a rush so it was ok. I think our server was also the daytime bartender? We will return!
Excellent food and drink in a good clean atmosphere
Will not try to eat here any time soon. They accepted my reservation, only for me to arrive, with my out of town friend, to a closed restaurant
Servers are so nice and good!
Matt was great last night
Food was great and the wait staff was wonderful! Highly recommend!
Caitlin and the servers are great!
Very good service and tasty food. Clean bathroom. Only issue I have is that our waitress did not wear a face mask. Thanks.
Crispy shrimp tacos were amazing! We enjoyed the outdoor patio atmosphere. Server was super nice. Overall an excellent visit and will definitely go back soon
Was in for a celebration dinner. This is my wife’s favorite restaurant for the crunchy shrimp tacos. The chimichangas are great had them for the first. The rice and beans are tasty , and the chips and salsa keep coming.
Great service and fantastic food. Margaritas were delicious!
We both ordered chicken enchiladas. Took a long time to get them, as the kitchen appeared to be backed up. When they arrived, they were overcooked and dry. The rice and beans were lukewarm. The kitchen needs more and better staffing. The service was excellent and the Margaritas were fabulous! We will try it again.
We loved this restaurant! Decor is fantastic! Ambiance awesome! Cute outdoor space as well with sweet lighting and plants that make it feel cozy. Food is very fresh! Highly recommend!
Excellent food and amazing drinks! One of my favorite mexican spots in north wilmington!
Great experience. Friendly staff. We had a nice time :)
Always outstanding service and great food and drinks. Our go to place locally for an upscale Mexican meal.
The food is fantastic. The staff could not be more excellent; we always enjoy our time at El Camino!
It was pretty good. We’ll go back. A little pricey for Mexican. Nice place, friendly staff. Kind of a long wait for food. No big deal during Covid with staff being so hard to find.
Overall positive experience.
Fajitas way over cooked - order of chicken was so dry and not edible. Similarly the filet fajitas also quite dry and overcooked.
Good all around good experience. Food was tasty and service was great. American Mexican but worth the trip! Recommend.
Excellent as always
We really like El Camino and will continue to go here. The only thing that's fishy is how they price their drinks. We ordered tequila on the rocks. Bill said $8.00 for tequila and $4.00 for ice!!! Just charge $12.00 for the damn drink and be done with it. Manager took drinks off the bill, which was cool.
Excellent food and service. Street corn the best.
We always have a good meal here, one of our favorite places to eat!
Amazing food and super clean environment
Delicious meal in a bright, friendly environment. Very good service. The carne asada was top notch.
✨Impeccable Service! ✨Well mannered staff, very accommodating✨ 😋 From the appetizers to dessert each meal was outstanding😋
We had an early dinner and our dining experience was great. The margaritas and appetizers were awesome and visually appealing, but the table service by Patrick was stellar. We will definitely return again!
A beautiful setting indoors and outdoors. Wonderful service and delicious food. Great winning combination!
Celebrated a new job, had an amazing margarita and great tacos! Highly recommend
Service is the main aspect here, specially the servers with good knowledge of the menu but honest and personal recommendations. I ordered chicken taquitos as my appetizer and carne asada as the main plus a can of Tecate, a north Baja California beer to wash everything down.
The tacos were ok but I prefer fried tacos made with corn tortilla instead of wheat flour because the fried tortilla crumbles. I noted they do not use pulled chicken which helps get a nicer meat consistency as opposed to a semi-blended grounded chicken that resembles more the consistency of pre-made tacos from Costco. Salsa verde and roja were a bit better with the flavor / heat balance and just a bit too lemony for my taste. In salsas I like to get the flavor of onion and garlic (grilled or raw) and not so much any attempts to balance that with “sweet or sugary” elements like corn (worst if it is sweet corn) and others. The carne asada came with rice called cheesy rice but my problem is that it is not a risotto and it should look and taste like that, good old fluffy and semi-dried rice. The meat itself was flavorful although a bit over cooked in the outside (beyond a normal searing, cutting through it required more effort) and the type of meat was not super tender as in a nice arrachera (skirt steak) or a mignon / rib eye or New York type of cuts. A feature of the dish was the poblano peppers but it was so little that you could barely taste and savor them properly. I think this same dish without the cheese should balance much better and allow the flavors of the poblanos to stand out. In general it was edible, but I don’t think this will be on the “repeat” list.
Apologies for no pictures but I was not really motivated to take pictures this time.
The food at El Camino overall was good some of it was surprisingly bland for what it was, but it was a good experience overall
Terrific food and drink for a very reasonable price. Nice atmosphere. Great staff! Very authentic cuisine!!!
Have been here twice before and had a great experience both times…..brought a group here for a family dinner on my recommendation on a Sunday at 530 and was not pleased. Drinks took 35 min after they were ordered and not good……food came out 45 min after drinks came! Two orders of fajitas were burnt and a kids order of chicken tacos had very spicy chicken in it. I’m all about a one off so I’ll give it another chance but this was a miss a big miss and I doubt the other two couples I went with will ever be back. Bummer of an almost 300 meal.
The ambience was cute, but the food was too American to be Mexican. Nothing tasted authentic. Disappointed
This is our second time there and both experiences have been great! Good and service is amazing!
I have Celiac disease and they always accommodate my food requirements. Food is excellent, fresh, and interesting flavors. Love love the tacos. Even the gluten free tortillas are yummy. Also, best margaritas you will ever have. Not your typical Mexican restaurant.
Great shrimp tacos. Perfect place to catch up with friends . Please bring back Shrimp Cazuelas!!
