First time to dine with my husband for Date night-- this is NOT a date night place. The lights were very bright inside, NO music playing. As in other Reviews-- the Floor is slanted and the tables wobble-- Need a Foundation fix for the old house. We had to sit inside due to the weather. Tables too close together. Several wait staff in regular sweatshirts and shorts! Not wearing eight11 logo. Food is overpriced. Pizza was good but overpriced compared to North Italia or Taverna- So we tried someplace new and should have stayed with our regular places.
Wonderful time at eight11, watching a bachelor special and drinking a flight of red wine. This restaurant has indoor and a nice lit and heated outdoor seating area. The outdoor seating area tables have outdoor fire pits in the middle around which you can sit and have your nice wine moderately warmed.
While we were there they were showing the bachelor on a large screen, which was interesting, I hear they do this often. The crowd was mostly female in groups, although I did see one or two men with their girlfriends or wives.
This is definitely a great place to go with your girlfriends or your girlfriend and try some nice flights of wine while sitting outside with great ambiance and nice service. The food itself could use a little more variety and an upgrade and flavor. But I was not disappointed. I would definitely come back and I think you should check it out as well if you're in the area or if you have not tried it yet it's worth checking out.
Met a friend here for dinner Monday night not realizing the patio would be playing The Bachelorette on a big screen while we were there. They were not seating anyone inside, so it kind of felt like we were crashing a party of B fans (of which I am not). However, the food we had was great -- we shared three boards: The Board (small), Brie & Apple board, and the Salmon board. Recommend them all, although if you are hungry and want them to be dinner for 2, you may leave with some hunger pangs. They do have a limited selection of craft cocktails so it's not just beer and wine. They were good but pricey and the pour is not generous -- $13 mojito was probably around 8 ounces total. Chocolate cake is fantastic.
Eight11 is a must for outdoor wining and dining. We reserved a fire pit and enjoyed the live music. Keep in mind it is a bit difficult to share food (appetizers) around the fire pit but it’s worth the hassle. They provided us with blankets and the service was spectacular. As far as the indoor dining space, it is much too small, crowded, and very loud. We would never chose to go there and get a table indoors.
Great food and service. We sat inside.... floor was very bouncy and shook our table when someone walked by..... and this happened constantly. Will definitely go back and ask to sit somewhere else.
Wonderful food and service. Great place for a nice date night w my wife
Poor service. Had to refill our own water and bus our own empty glasses to make room on the table. The waitress’ focus jumped from the most recently table sat to the next. Food was poor with huge portions to overcome the lack of flavor and the low food grade quality. Prices were disproportionately high, almost 5x for the standard of food.
What I found strange was there so many staff, but no one paid any attention to their customers attempts to flag them down or ask for something.
Overall poor service.
We enjoyed our dinner at eight11. The food and drinks were really good. Wine selection was nice, we each had our own flight of wines. And the pizza (we got the godfather) was REAL GOOD. Staff was great as well. Really had a fun experience there and we will definitely be back, and probably bring others along with us!
The food was very good. We got the jalapeno popper pizza. I feel it was about 30% overpriced though. It is an old home which is cool but our table was at a slant because of the old wood floor. I do recommend trying it but don't sit at tables along the wall.
Bottom line: the atmosphere is an A+.
Their patio is so unique to the dallas area - that it made me feel like I was in Austin.
Especially with the great live music.
Then on top of that, the food was wonderful, as well.
Especially their pizzas.
Great wine flights, personable staff & ownership that actually visits their tables.
This place is an absolute GEM.
Ashley was our server and she was fabulous!!! Knowledge about the food and was totally able to read our table. Super appreciated!
Loved it! We will return soon.
A Gem of rustic proportions!
Food is thoughtful and delicious. (Thank you Chef!!)
Team is polished and warm. (Thank you Robbie!!)
Space is really cool. (Thank you Time!!)
Well worth the drive.
Great place. Next time will make sure to reserve an outdoor table with fire pit!!
Such a great place for group gatherings! We enjoyed being able to sit around a fire pit in a cozy group but also seeing a dozen other small groups doing the same thing. Wonderful service, great food and an excellent wine selection. Cheers!
Wish they had warned us they were hosting a children’s birthday party.
Impeccable service, eclectic dishes. And an amazing atmosphere! Highly recommended. We will certainly return. Great wine selection as well. Try the F Bomb!
Such a great atmosphere with amazing food and service!
We had a great time. The staff was very accommodating. We booked our reservation for the inside, but after dinner the staff made room for us outside. We enjoyed the blankets, live music, and lighting. I also left a review on Google. Thanks again.
Very cozy and quaint wine and food bar. Menu is a bit limited, but salad and panini were both excellent. Pizza looked fantastic as it was passing our table. Also, very reasonably priced wine list with several awesome selections. Looking forward to coming back and sitting outside at a fire pit. We will be back!
Great place w good live music and great wine.
Wine selection is great and we enjoy all the food - the board, the pizza and the salad. The only complaint we have is our table (inside) is a little wobbly and the whole time we were there there are some annoying fly constantly buzzing around us. But the food & wine and energy of the place was good so we will for sure come back again!
Always love Eight11. When I hv friends visit always try & visit. Love introducing people to Eight11
Awesome spot! Excellent live music!!! Yummy food and drinks and superb service! What more do you want!?!
Great place for a date night. The staff was very nice and service was good. Definitely think the inside is too loud to have a good conversation with your partner but overall experience was great.
Cool atmosphere. Repurposed older home into a quaint restaurant.
So happy with Eight11. Great date place. Already telling everyone I know... Not that I actually had a date but how great Eight11. Date went great too, thanks for asking. 🤣
Had an AMAZING time showing my friends round Frisco and I knew I had to bring them here. I called to let hem know I would be late and the staff was so kind from the phone, to greeting, to taking care of our service. Overall an amazing time
Just the best quaint place to get a great glass of wine and food that pairs well with it.
Best fig and prosciutto pizza ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quaint and Charming little place in old town Frisco. Simple but delicious food. Use honey in a lot of dishes to make everything unique and delicious. Creative craft cocktails but have good and bad days preparing them.
Amazing pizza! Great selection of beer! Awesome place to take a date, gives off a great vibe, excellent service.
First server was nice but her shift ended in the middle of the meal so she had to leave. The second server was rude, called me a “12 year old little girl” because I didn’t finish my food, and made more rude jokes about my young appearance and gender. She also said I should’ve finished my pizza crust since “I’m a big boy”. I’m a 25 year old male, so that did make me feel uncomfortable and I couldn’t wait to get out of the restaurant. Not only that, she was too lazy to refill our drinks or to even check on how we were doing. We left a 10% tip on a $50 check. But she really deserved a ZERO for a tip. Food wasn’t amazing, service was by far the WORST we’ve ever received at a restaurant. We definitely won’t be back.
We are very sorry that you had an experience like this. This is not the service we strive to provide at eight 11 place. Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com we may address the situation personally with you. Thank you.
We had so much fun celebrating my husband's birthday at eight11 place. We sat on the patio and had an early dinner then stayed for the first set of the night's live music. Great service, great food, laid back, friendly vibe. Highly recommend.
Was so uncomfortably loud inside that you couldn’t hear a conversation at your own table. Had to leave.
Food was way overpriced but enjoyed it overall. Probably won’t return any often
Nice little local place! Great atmosphere with an old 1920s building and cool Texas backyard patio.
Really great pizza. Very warm in doors. Probably would have been cooler to sit outside under the fans. We went on a Saturday evening and they had a band outdoors. However we loved the hummus board and pizza. The food is well worth the heat.
