We really enjoyed our meal at Echoes. Food and service was amazing. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Will be back after a wonderful meal and treated by staff superbly
We really enjoyed our lunch here and it was good to be able to order a la carte instead of having to order 2 courses which is really offputting in other venues. We had 3 courses anyway.
The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Very impressive.
The food was definitely nice, consistent with a nice but not stand-out restaurant. The piano, even though it was in the bar area, was too loud to be able to hear each other without raised voices (I love a grand piano but in a space that size the lid should be closed more). Staff were all friendly.
The only shortcoming was that I was asked to check a box before we went, it was my wife's birthday. There was no mention made at all of this so you should either not ask, or if you do, then mention it.
Very nice evening on a cold wet Blue Mountains evening. Unfortunately no view this night. Gentle pleasant background music. Nice staff.
I ate the best dessert of my life - the lemongrass creme brulee. It is a beautiful setting and waitstaff were lovely. Definitely not cheap, but food was so good and the view can't be beat.
Exceptional food and service, will definitely go back. Edward is awesome.
We all agreed that the food we ordered was excellent
The Service was special, attentive and polite
It was so relaxing, we took our time over the meal
When in Katoomba next time we will definitely book a lunch again.
Overall a pleasant experience. Good service, although we did have 5 different staff ask us the same question 5 times when we got there if we wanted water - i guess you can't complain! It is rather expensive, but the meals were of good quality and we enjoyed our experience.
We had a wonderful dinner, the service was great and the food was amazing!
Echoes was a fantastic experience. The food, service and wine is great. The look out view is exceptional.
Echoes restaurant was our first stop on our blue mountains weekend away. We were not disappointed. Service and food was excellent. And the view is amazing. We were doing a bush walk afterwards so sadly didn't get to try the wine list- next time. Definitely worth a visit when in the blue mountains. Lovely restrooms too!
Cosy atmosphere, amazing view.
Staff were very attentive.
Food and wine was quite good.
Very pleasant Sunday lunch.
Wonderful restaurant and experience
The food was absolutely delicious - I would highly recommend. The service was efficient and friendly but English was clearly not a fluent second language and there were struggles with this. The subtle logic wasn’t really understood and that caused some frustration. I felt it was expensive- much more than I expected to pay. Overall though a lovely evening.
Food was very good with lots of flavour, well prepared and presented with a very Asian influence. We had fish and it melted in the mouth. Beautiful scenery. Rather overpriced for the selection and service.
We booked in here as we couldn’t get a booking at Darleys.
Unfortunately, our experience here was nowhere near our expectation. I had to send a $25 cocktail back to have more ginger put in it, weird as it was a ginger martini???? The food was average. Feeling really upset about the whole experience:(
I celebrated my recent 60th birthday here and the meal and service was perfect and it was a lovely day.
Food was fantastic and the service was even better. The waiter went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meals and made this dining experience truely perfect.
A fabulous lunch. We celebrated my wife's 48th birthday and the location was superb with sweeping valley views.
The service was 1st class, and the food was as expected for a high end restuarant.
We would definitively return there for another special occasion.
Such a beautiful location. Staff very polite. Food a huge disappointment. Arrived at 11.50, ordered 12.05 food arrived at 12.45. 3 main dishes we ordered the beef pie was good, the mushroom risotto was in a mound of stodge -overcooked. Asked if this was cooked from fresh - was told yes - said it was awful and waiter said he could replace it in 5 mins?? The barramundi was overcooked served with an iceberg style salad. The manager was equally embarrassed- would only charge us for the pie!
Location is amazing, I read a few reviews before coming and I can't understand any of the negative reviews the price is spot on for the quality of food and service.
I didn't tell my wife anything and she was absolutely delighted with everything.
Food was quite average and expensive. View was lovely.
The flavour of both the starter and main course of my wife's dish was over powered with spice. Her Spatchcock was very badly cooked and not anything like she expected. The water was not chilled, like for example Lilianfels has next door. My salad in the starter was too much compared to the pork belly, the vegetables for main were undercooked as was the meat.
Wonderful views and incredible food! We even had a window chat with an adorable cockatoo!!
Beautiful building with stunning views of the Jamison Valley.
Top quality fine dining with excellent service.
Book for dinner and watch the sunset. You won't be disappointed.
Lovely feel and food was fantastic and larger size servings
Was a little rushed due to late time booking
Perhaps because of the location all the menu prices were surprisingly high. Waterside restaurants in Sydney would be a bit less than these prices.
My friend and I had travelled 3 hours and 2 hours to have lunch at Echo Restaurant so the cost was a surprise.
A glass of wine was $12 - $14
I drew the line at $26 for a dessert
The staff were courteous and helpful
Food was beautiful and staff were super friendly. Unfortunately we were there when it was foggy so we missed out on the view.
A genuine fine dining experience with faultless food quality and presentation.
A nicely laid out restaurant with ample space to relax and enjoy.
Whilst the rain and fog had set in giving it a true ‘mountain’ feel, on the right day the views would be simply magnificent.
Great food, nice surrounds...would come back
We had a wonderful meal here . The pianist played beautifully, the waiters were discrete and attentive and every course of the meal perfect. My entree course of truffle wontons was outstanding.
Food was great. Service level was very poor. Missed orders, long waiting time and although food was great it was cold.
The service was minimal and slow. They didn't deliver an experience worth recommending for such an amazing place.
Wonderful dining experience, service was beyond reproach, food was of the highest quality, pre dinner drinks by the open fire was a special treat. Highly recommended.
We came here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and we were so impressed by how intimate and romantic the setting was.
The food was absolutely delicious and the wine was fantastic.
We went to Echoes as we were in the Blue Mountains for our honeymoon and given reviews had this pegged as a must go!
Overall the service was very strong, capable and attentive waiters however this may only be due to the total of 3 tables (mid-week dinner).
The food was enjoyable however small flaws in terms of the cooking of the food as well as the balance of the dishes made it difficult to score higher. Unrendered duck fat and non crispy soft shell crab were the main offenders.
I have never eaten duck so succulent and flavoursome. Portion sizes suited me and hubby equally well and could not fault flavour and quality. Would definitely go again!
The food was pretty awful and definitely not worth the price tag. The entrees were particularly horrible.
