We really enjoyed our dining experience at E’cco from our greeting when we arrived to our farewell. We had the Chef’s menu and each course was well explained and delicious. A slight delay with one of the courses was noted and compensated with a glass of wine. The restaurant was full but the service was impeccable. Our only gripe was the level of noise.
For a birthday gift, I requested a pre-paid dinner for two. The staff were very helpful in organising the whole thing. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. I am very impressed and would highly recommend.
Our dining experience wasn’t what I was expecting.
1. Chill too strong in risotto to match delicate flavour of bug.
2. Asking for our drinks to be poured NOT what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber
3. Waiting for menus- I actually had to get up and ask the maître’d for them. Again, NOT what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Especially when they want you to leave after an hour and 45 minutes
4 An average roast chicken (spatchcock) with no smokey char grilled flavour (as promised by our waiter) extremely average l could have cooked it myself.
Overall an extremely disappointing experience. Not at all what I remember from the old location in the city. Myself and my friends felt highly let down and frankly ripped off.

We loved our experience at E’cco, and would return. We had the lunch special, which was great value, but we were a little disappointed in the Crispy Skin Pork as there was more fat layer than meat layer. The skin was particularly delicious though.
The Wednesday duck special was disappointing. The duck was very dry. I'm had much better meals here

Great food, really enjoyed the lunchtime menu. Was very happy with the service, only downside was no one said goodbye when we left.
Excellent tasting menu, wines paired well with all of the dishes. A big surprise and an absolute pleasure to meet and have a quick chat with Phillip, made my weekend. Service was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. A flawless dining experience.
We had a wonderful dinner at Ecco Bistro. My partner and I shared the prawn tortellini and lamb shoulder. Both were delicious and generous servings. Service was very good. We would definitely come back.

Very disappointed, nothing like it used to be at the old venue. I’m not sure if it has changed owners but the service is poor. We had to ask the waiter for a menu after being there for like 10 mins. We had to ask people to top up our water. Not what I expected from such a high end restaurant. I would not have cared if it was a local takeaway joint.
Food was perfect. I had the Angus steak and it was cooked beutifully. Service was first class waiters and waitresses were knowledgeable and courteus.
This was great, the staff were very professional and funny. The food was exceptional and generous. Frankly I loved it - second time I’ve been there and it is consistently great. Just that next level up with reasonable prices. Think I’ll be a regular

Had the degustation. Classic Phillip Johnson style food, that was cooked to perfection. Having been away from Brisbane for a while, it was a pleasure to experience that food again. Service struggled a bit occasionally but everyone was friendly. Only one complaint - when you’re having the degustation/chef’s menu, with matching wines, how do you tell the sommelier that he’s not pouring sufficient to meet the mark on the wine glasses! Black onyx dry aged porterhouse with eggplant purée mushroom and charred grape was spectacular
We have suggested to all our friends that for a 'date night', they go to E'cco. Many of them have told us that in many other so-called upmarket restaurants in Brisbane they have to yell at each other across the table to be heard. Many thanks to Dillon for informing the restaurant of our requirement to spend a little longer - we were celebrating an anniversary - and for Tom for providing absolutely first-class service. Congratulations.
First visit since E'cco moved from CBD location - location much better, easier access, parking. Food was usual high standard however service on the night was slow - both being seated and food service. Busy Saturday night and maybe understaffed in kitchen and front of house for that night? Would certainly go again as food is very good.

Great place for a slow Saturday lunch and conversation over superb food. Lunch specials are very good value. I could not resist the three courses! Gnocchi entree was excellent. Light pillows of potato were dressed with a balanced combination of Gorgonzola, spinach and pine nuts. I followed this with the Dory and then the Chocolate Nemesis. Delicious!
The food was excellent, I had the Kangaroo Tartare as an entree and it was outstanding. Will definitely be back.
Our table of 3 mates catching up over lunch had great meals. 2 of us chose the Tuesday Steak & Shiraz special while the 3rd had salmon followed by pork belly from the lunch special offerings. Food was terrific, arrived in a timely manner, service was efficient and not intrusive. A great lunch

This was our first visit to Ecco in years and everything about it was as good as we had remembered. There’s a reason this restaurant is still trading after all these years - excellent food, wine, service and ambiance!
The food was delicious and the lunch deal is such a great idea to allow everyone a chance to try the food at an affordable price.

Perfect for a date night. Ambiance nice and cosy, service impeccable with staff very attentive to food allergies or special requests. Food was great, their dinner special option is real good value. We initially went for two courses but portions are a bit small so upgarded to three courses. My husband was slightly disapointed with his dessert (a cheesecake so decomposed that it wasn't much of a cheescake anymore) but I was totally amazed by my peppered charred pineapple. Loved it! Highly recommand.

We have been to E’cco over the past 25 years or so, not as often as we may have wished. Philip put on a dinner for visiting orthopaedic surgeon’s in 2004, it was remarkable for its quality. He has not lost any of his skills, the experience at E’cco was very good indeed. Our waiter came from an Italian town 20 kilometres from our extended family in Offida which made the evening even better. We look forward to next visit.
our lunch with old friends was just perfect. We settled on the set menu 3 course lunch special and along with a bottle of prosecco decided on the lunch special Pinot Noir which was like a mouthful of cherries. The meals all arrived together, the quality was exceptional, the serving size generous and the wait staff professional yet friendly. Couldn't fault it!
We had a lovely Shiraz and steak lunch. Service was wonderful. While it seems a simple thing the bread was very very good so it gets a special mention. The black salt on the table and with the butter was also a special touch. Service was the right combination of attentive but no intrusive. We will be back.
We were looking at the drink menu, and the lady doing hosting cafe to our table asked us if she can take the drink menu for another table ? We don’t look like we could order drinks or sth ?
Water glasses were empty and no one refilled it for our table but other tables
