Waited 1/2 hour to be seated. Online booking did not make it clear that we had not booked a table (even though it said table booking) but had a seat at a bar looking at the chef. As it was a special occasion we were very disappointed. They later moved us to a table after we had entres.

E'cco Bistro is where you go for a special dining experience. The food is exquisite, service attentive without being intrusive and we enjoyed the lights of the Gasworks through the windows. A very professional outfit.

Poor acoustics, I had to shout over dinner as the room was way too loud. No sound absorbers.
Food is ok, more home cook style. The chips are not hand cut which you would expect at the price they charge.
They ran out of milk when we asked for a nice coffee for my Mum. Appalling.
Pretty bland experience. Brisbane now has better spots to dine at so consider this. Pity as I was a regular fan of Ecco when they were located on Ann Street.

I had roasted pork for main which was beautifully presented and full of flavor. I also enjoyed the deconstructed cheesecake which was original and something I had never tried anywhere else!

Hi, points to note
1. There is insufficient choice of starters
2. The portion of beef with the flank was too small (two small strips), the pork was OK (3 small strips)
3. The wine we had was overpriced (more than double what I could buy a single bottle in a retail shop)
4. The service was very good.
Arrived for our 8.30pm seating on Sat night, only to be told the guests at our table were still eating their mains so would we mind waiting? Not a great start. When we eventually did sit down (8.50pm) the meals were yummo.
Wonderful everything. My expectations were met and I really loved eating there. The staff were attentive and respectful. They remembered our Anniversary and made us feel special. Highly recommend and a great location.
Went for hubby birthday got the 5 course degustation option, I'm a pescatarian so substituted some of the courses for fish, overall tasty meals but think the fish dishes weren't as tasty as the meat dishes. Its pricey but nice for a special occasion.
Paid $300 for two to have the chef menu.
Food quality was not in keeping with high price.
Wait staff were arguing with kitchen staff, in front of clientele. Never seen anything like it.
Atmosphere was horrible as a result.
We were deprioritised for private dining function (and told as much by waitress).
Had to wait 30 minutes for dessert - we asked for the bill and took it home.
Manager was disrespectful and arguing with head chef.
Close up the kitchen and have fights in private - don't ruin client's evenings.
This is not the Ecco of old.
Giving a free cocktail doesn't solve it.

We had an awful experience. Ordered the degustation with matching wines. Wines arrived late after each meal was served. No explanation of the wine or why it was chosen with the food. Each course was not explained. I had to ask for the menu. Service was not attentive, very clumsy. And to top it off , we were overcharged $120 for side dishes and 4 glasses of champagne. Overall well below average for a $1200 bill! We will certainly never return.
My dining preferences would be best described as "Food Truck" as opposed to "Fine Dining", so I was unsure what to expect heading to E'cco. I am delighted to say that it was a wonderful dining experience.
From the second we entered we were made to feel welcome. The staff were helpful, without being overbearing. There was no pretension here, just friendly, discrete service. The cocktails had a kick to them, the table was situated perfectly for a romantic dinner for two, and the food was worth every cent.
I was also surprised to find that the meals were not only delicious, they were also substantial. In fact, I did not finish everything. Not for lack of trying mind you. Whilst everything was delicious I will make one special mention. If you like blue cheese, do yourself a favour and ensure you order the Smoked kipfler potatoes.
We were there for a special occassion, and the team at E'cco did their part in ensuring that the "special" was delivered in ample measure.
We will be back.
Spot on from start to finish
Refined food, perfectly matched wines. Impeccable service.
Went on Melbourne Cup day, so it was crowded.
Arrival champage and service was good.
Later food and matched wines never arrived together (often 20 minutes difference) so the pairing never occurred. Food interesting. Four of the six wines were too sweet.
I think the restaurant was overwhelmed by too many customers. So
go when it is not full - ovoid it at Melb Cup.
The staff were polite and helpful, the food was delicious and the scene was perfect for a date night. We had the five course tasting meal which was superb in both taste and presentation. Will definitely be coming back.

Had lunch special for 2. Excellent value great food and sevice . Only let down was brulee. It was tasty but a bit runny. Will definitely be back.
We’ve been to the new location twice now. The Chef’s menu is outstanding. Five courses, sensible portion sizes, and as a testimonial to the flavour combinations, no food left on any plate after every course. Fabulous.
We had been wanting to visit E'CCO for a few years and finally did so last week for our wedding anniversary. It was well worth the wait! The Chef's Menu with paired wines is highly recommended. The food was not excessively complex, just clean tasting, well presented, with well matched flavours . Staff were aware of our anniversary from our online booking and we were very well looked after and never rushed. Even with a shared second dessert (as a complimentary anniversary gift) we were pleasantly satisfied but not overly full, which is often a risk with degustations.
I was very disappointed with my last visit to E'cco Bistro. I remembered it as being a great restaurant, and I often cook Philip Johnson's recipes, so was really looking forward to returning there. However, on my last visit I didn't like the way the menu was structured, and nothing really grabbed me. The dish I had - a quail, apple and blue cheese dish - was overpriced and nothing special. Indeed, I don't think the dish made sense at all. My dining companion had a main course pork dish that was small and, at $42, was a complete rip off. We had side dishes and even those were sub-standard. Unfortunately, I will never go there again as it absolutely wasn't worth the money.
We went to the new E’cco for the first time and will be returning .
Nothing wrong with it but nothing memorable either. Pretty limited menu and all just a bit ho-hum.
We had a wonderful lunch. The wine list is extensive and well priced. The menu is great, with particularly enjoying the small plates.
We attended this night as Josue Lopez was a guest chef and his food lived up to our expectations. Gert's food was also great - a wonderful night for foodies

My husband and I ordered the degustation 5-course meal in October 2018. I enjoyed the night out and liked the flavours of the kingfish and the quail however I was hungry and was still left hungry at the end of the 5 courses. It wasn't very generous hospitality. Servings were too small as far as I was concerned. Just a couple more mouthfulls of each dish would have helped. Thanks for reading.
Everything we got just kept getting better! We didn’t want to food to end. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Found the food a bit basic and for the price didn’t excite. Had the tasting menu and we really were only wowed by one dish. Service was excellent and food was all well presented and good portion sizes, but just didn’t blow us away.
Best Dessert I have ever eaten and the $39 2 Course Lunch special was such great value for money. Food was amazing and Service to match

Enjoyed ... but chose the lunch special and found the two courses far too heavy in the meat department... pork very fat and beef rib too large.
Maybe a lighter combination would be better.
But not complaining... the service was impeccable and it was fantastic to find 2 hour parking nearby.
