A fantastic restaurant in all respects, food was outstanding, service without fault. Wine list showcased some local gems, love Bents Road. Went there the weekend after the ridiculous review in the Weekend Australian Mag, think I’ll cancel my subscription.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Would highly recommend E'cco - hadn't been there for years and it didn't disappoint. Very reasonably priced as well. I think it is a fabulous lunch venue but need to get back for a dinner date with hubby.
Fabulous food and service in a relaxed setting. We had the Chef’s Tasting Menu - each course was interesting, flavoursome and beautifully presented. We look forward to returning soon.
What can one say about E'cco this restaurant always impresses. The Duck in particular is superb.
First time Ecco diner so I couldn’t compare to the old venue. We had a lovely time, we had the degustation and enjoyed all courses apart from the first one wasn’t really my cup of tea, due to the ginger and a bit too spicy.
The wine list didn’t seem to have much flexibility in terms of wine by the glass.
The ambience was ok however kind of felt like it was missing something ? In saying that , for such a new venue they have done quite well to bring in some warmth.
The host was fantastic she is clearly the heart and soul of the place and her welcoming and genuine approach for me made up for the missing elements of ambience.
It is definitely a place I can see myself returning to many times, and by far my best dining experience in Brisbane for quite some time.
Things have changed following the move and now find the menu very confusing. Not sure we’d return to our long time favourite.

A great experience. The pumpkin dish was fantastic and the kipfler potato dish was brilliant.
Ecco is hands down one of Brisbane’s best dining experiences. Love the new location and same wonderful food.
Really great food and excellent service and worth visiting. It does have a slightly noisy bar / bistro type vibe so not great for a romantic dinner.

Had a fantasatic experience with Ecco Bistro. The staffs are friendly and approachable. The food was amazing from entree to dessert x loved it here and definitely will dine back x
This was the first time we've been to e'cco since it relocated from Boundary Street and, admittedly, the first time we've been back to the restaurant in many years, as we live in Sydney. The food was, as expected, delicious and well presented, and we washed it down with a pleasant valpolicella. Service was genuine and friendly and the space is light and bright, all blonde wood and neutral tones. The downside was the place was still packed when we arrived for our 2:15 sitting - the only table available for Friday lunch when I'd made the reservation a few days earlier - and it was so noisy we couldn't hear our waitress explain the menu. Conversation was almost impossible. Especially for one of our group, who uses hearing aids, and who had to turn them off because of the cacophony was overwhelming. They really need to invest in some sound dampening panels...
Food experience 5 star - ambience a little noisey compared to old location. " Open kitchen " bonus entertainment.
Amazing food and each of us (3 in our party) enjoyed our meals...from the bread to entrees & main meals. None of us had room for dessert but we did enjoy coffees afterwards. Service was exemplary! We all said we’d enjoy going back again. We had previously eaten at the old location.
It was our 1st visit to the new location, the decor was lighter and brighter but the food and service was still at it's high standard. Thank you for a lovely evening, again!

Amazing place! We tried this for our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint - they even organised a “happy anniversary” plate with macaroons to finish our meal. The waiters were attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine, and so lovely. We had three courses each, a bottle of wine and several cocktails and it was still under $300. Great value for five-star dining! Would definitely eat here again!

A bit noisy and cold atmosphericly.
But having said that excellent service and good food.
Had eaten at E'cco in it's previous location so was time to try the new spot at Newstead. Lovely atmosphere with open kitchen. Busy but service prompt and timely. Food options nicely orchestrated. The salmon confit to die for. The ribs succulent and nicely accompanied with mash and mushrooms. Deserts...wow. Plus a nice drinks/wine list. All together a nice marriage of food, wine and ambience.

Disappointed with suckling pig not being crispy and quite fatty. Opted for the cheese platter (the baked soft brie) had too much honey and was not warm. Our previous meal at ECCO we had steak and really had enjoyed our meal. Notwithstanding the staff was friendly and attentive, but on this occasion the food was disappointing.
We recently ate at E’cco on a Friday evening.Outstanding meal, service, and ambience at the restaurant. Can’t wait to return !
Great service ...food was creative, interesting, tasty ...always a good wine choice af Ecco. Place had a buzz but some might be surprised by the new restaurant's simplicity ...I actually enjoyed the minimalist design. Will be back!

Nous avons été très déçus. Escalope de veau panée indigne d’un restaurant, tentacule de pieuvre mal cuit. Accompagnements très pauvres. Desserts déstructurés sans intérêt. Le chef se contentait d’observer ses commis. Ce restaurant qui se veut chic (et cher) n’est pas au niveau d’un restaurant digne de ce nom en France, en Nouvelle Zélande ou en Australie. Horrible, à fuir ... En plus, pour deux plats / desserts à 160 dollars avec un verre de vin, nous avons été tous deux malades !!!
Sat at the counter which was great fun to watch the chefs at work. Chef Tom was very detailed and hands on, inspecting and touching up each dish before being served.
I have been here twice in a month and had the tasting menu both times. The wagyu is excellent and cooked just right. The veggies were also very gourmet and cooked to perfection. The deconstructed cheese cake is heavenly when you assemble all that in your mouth. Highly recommend this.
Great experience with an incredible menu that had a huge range of gluten-free options. Great service and an all-around excellent dining experience. Did not disappoint and we will be back for another special occasion!

I enjoyed the casual atmosphere style fine dining. The food was beautiful, and I loved that we could share dishes so there was no food envy! The humble eggplant side is notable, as is the Moreton Bag Bugs and the cheesecake dessert. Thanks for a lovely evening, we’ll be back again.

I was really disappointed by the quality of the food. Starters were more like side dishes and plain...
Mains were ok but I was expecting more than considering they were $45 each. I could have found the same quality at the pub.

Lovely to have Ecco in our local area such a treat we enjoyed a delicious meal there on Saturday night. We are very lucky to have Philip and Mary bring their great restaurant to our area.
We were well looked after by your staff and enjoyed ourselves greatly.
