We felt welcome from the minute the hostess greeted us and we appreciated the way our guest in a wheelchair was accommodated. (Also the follow up call when a walking stick was left behind). Food was spot on - every one of the 5 dinner courses. I don’t eat fish or shellfish and they happily substituted their signature gnocchi which I enjoyed. Quantities were good, big eaters were well satisfied, and light eaters didn’t leave a lot. Food service was excellent. One star off for drinks service which was a little slow, but it was a Saturday night and the place was full, so understandable. $89 per head is good value for the quality of this food.
Was a lovely dinner paired with spectacular wines. Nic helped a wonderful atmosphere and both Nic and the French server (I can’t remember her name) were knowledgeable about both the food and wine. Definitely will come back again
The birthday celebration was a delight apart from the very dark corner we were in.
I found it difficult to appreciate the visual appreciation of the food which was avoidable.
The quantity of food was perfect as I was a bit concerned about whether we could enjoy it all.
My wife and I enjoyed lunch at e'cco bistro on a busy Friday. The service was very good, with a charming young lady who welcomed us and saw that things moved smoothly. When a bowl of chips arrived that we hadn't ordered we were treated to a big smile and an invitation to enjoy them anyway. The food was superb, particularly the lamb main meal. It was very busy indeed and there were some well lubricated seniors sitting near us who rose the noise level a little [my only criticism] but they were there to have fun as we all were.
Very good restaurant. I would like to recommend it to my friends
Excellent food. Website advertised $79 set menu, but was $89 upon arrival. Wine by the glass reasonable price, but sparkling water, champagne, and cognac exorbitant prices.
Good service, nice decor, tucked away location, interesting menu.
This set menu was absolutely awesome. Restaurant always has wonderful ambience. Staff are amazing.
Good was amazing but the service just dropped off during the night.
In the end the wait staff were either nowhere to be seen of busy chatting and not interested in serving, even though I watched our dessert sit there for 20min melting.
Even had to get up and ask for the bill in the end.
Disappointing given the food was so good.
Every aspect of the 5 course menu was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food, great service - incredible evening all round.
Does what it says on the box but nothing more. A safe bet but not pushing any boundaries.
It had been a long time since visiting ECCO, the new venue doesn’t feel as classy as the previous one but overall is still quite good. The food and wines were fabulous, the European pairing of wines really spot on and delicious. The service started well but unfortunately became almost non existent after the 3rd (of 5) courses. We found ourselves waiting at least one hour in total for the last 2 courses. Our sitting was for 6.30pm so we were one of the first guests to arrive and we were one of the last to leave. Given the variables are minimal with a set menu I would have expected a more timely service towards the end of the evening for a restaurant with such a good reputation.
Amazing set lunch and every dish was amazing! We would recommend this to others.
Absolutely loved E’cco for a special birthday lunch. The food looked spectacular, works of art and tasted even better. The service was very friendly, highly professional and very cool. The ambience was perfect. We will be back again for the next special occasion. Definitely Christmas and maybe earlier. Truly memorable.
Always great food. There was a choice between 2 options for entree, main and dessert. As a couple we tried all except the cheese - both of us wanted the chocolate mousse and it was all good. Stand outs were the gnocchi (which I don’t normally order because unless it’s excellent gnocchi it’s not worth having) and the side dish of greens. Had a really nice mocktail and the service was warm and professional without being too formal.
Three course set menu for five people. Restaurant handled two vegetarians no problem, with prior warning. The server was professional and super efficient. They really took their job seriously and were kind as well. I think the serving sizes are a bit mean, but I suppose it is made up for by the beautiful presentation, wonderful service and ambience. Sound level is perfect - we could hear each other but could not hear other diners. I'd recommend highly for a special occasion providing that you don't have manual working young men along, who'll need a bit more food.
The good and service is wonderful. The temperature in the restaurant is usually a bit chilly always dress warmly.
Had my first date here and though pricey well worth it. Nick our host new everything about the wines and was altogether the perfect host for the evening. Food was amazing and every dish paired perfectly. An awesome experience I hope to repeat in the future.
Had a nice anniversary dinner. nice atmosphere. Had 3 courses - first course amazing - last course amazing. Main was okay - was expecting Wagu as that is whats on the website but recieved lamb instead. was a bit tough and fatty. also main a bit cold. overall nice expierence though
Uncomfortable seats, no padding. Easily fixable, but currently not at all luxurious
We love Ecco and really enjoy getting there for lunch on Saturday’s. The front of house staff Nic, Odata & Mary are terrific. Food is superb & ambience just right for a relaxed weekend lunch for a group or just the two of us.Perfect !
Outstanding on every level. Fabulous 5 course fixed menu. Highly recommend to one and all.
Friday lunch at Ecco is always great - good value and absolutely delicious
Just lovely meal.
Food was a true taste experience and far more complex and nuanced than the menu reveals. Loved it.
From the moment we were welcomed into the restaurant and seated at our romantic table, I knew we would have an amazing evening. The five course set meal was scrumptious and exceptional, my non meat eating requests were perfectly addressed. The courses were a delight to our senses only the goats cheese course was not quite as fantastic (to our taste buds) this could be that goats cheese can be a strong flavour. Personally I would like to have a sweet beetroot flavour and crunch element with the goats cheese. However, would still eat it all again any day! We adored the gnocchi and the dessert was sublime! Thank you for the amazing, attentive service provided by all the lovely staff. Having the chef and co on display is really cool too and makes the food feel very authentic. It’s all the special touches that help create a happy memorable dinning experience and the contented buzz of the restaurant was tangible. We would love to try more dishes here!
Highly recommend Ecco, wonderful, creative and delicious food, terrific service and wine selection by the glass as well as bottle are nicely varied.
Excellent service. Delicious food. A great place for a special occasion
Positively perfect in every way. 3rd visit and never disappoints! Highly recommend.
Lovely food - great place to just trust the chef and see what they come up with.
Food, service & atmosphere were all outstanding! Highly recommended!
Great experience from the food through to the service.
Food presentation excellent - all dishes beautifully presented and explained. The food was outstanding on the palate and the wine selection compliments the menu very well.
My only complaint - some bread with each of the courses would be nice - the ( leftover ) sauces are too delicious for the dishwasher.
Divine food and expert service. We had a lovely anniversary dinner. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to enjoy a special meal.
Good food, good service, good ambiance. Highly recommend
Had a wonderful birthday celebration with a group of four on Saturday night. It's not our first time to Ecco and won't be our last. Food, wine and service were impeccable.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is unmatched. The staff truly care about your experience and truly go the extra mile. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we have had. Highly recommend!
Exceptional food & service - the wait staff as savvy, professional and knowledgeable in helping with wine selections to match the exquisite menu!
