Great night with friends at their BYO Thursday dining. The food was good and the service excellent. It is great that a fine dining restaurant allows BYO on one night a week . Will be back
We usually love Ecco Bistro. On Saturday night we were a little disappointed with service. We had to get the attention of wait staff so we could get another drink. We really felt like no one was attending to our table. We of course will be back again and hope next time we get a bit more attention.

Service was abysmal. We sat at the table for 20 minutes before drink order was taken. Entree was nice, main course okay. Noise level high. Due to bad service, we were more rushed to finish within the time allotted for us. Probably won’t go back. I expect better service and less noise for a fine dining experience.

Just ask for the vegetarian menu if you require, the standard menu has few options, the vegetarian food was great!
Overall it was a great dining experience. The only minor let down was our dessert sat on the pass for longer than necessary when staff were distracted. Mid week and about 30% full so it certainly wasn't busy.
The menu was innovative combining local ingredients such as kangaroo and Moreton Bay bugs with Asian imfluences. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. Our guests described it as the best food they had eaten in the Brisbane area for 20 years.
I have now been to this restaurant on many occasions. It is a lovely touch when the owner remembers me and escorts us to our table. Saturday night was a busy night and it was a little loud but still a very comfortable conversation was had. They left us at our table as long as they could and then asked if we wouldn't mind relocating to the bar, which we did gladly. I would recommend this venue for anyone looking for great food and a very friendly atmosphere.

Food was excellent .. had the salmon for a starter.. very delicate ... beef short rib melted in your mouth.. the fish was also very good... greens were very crunchy and good recommendation by our waiter

Great food always reliable wonderful gluten free food on normal menu. Green pea arancini balls, Phillip’s signature bug risotto and chocolate nemesis is to die for. Can’t wait to go back.

I love returning to Ecco because Ive always love the food and service however I've found the last 2 visits since the move to Haven the wait staff have been quite inattentive which has detracted from the experience.
The entree Gnocci was delicious once we added some salt and pepper and the Bug risotto was full of flavour and the short rib was melt in your mouth.
Ecco is definitely a must visit and will be back just a little disappointed on the service the last few visits.
Certainly not as memorable as it used to be. Good option for taking the parents out for dinner etc but as a date venue pretty lack lustre. We did have lovely cocktails at the bar to be fair. The service was quite good once we were seated but we waited twenty minutes for the table we had pre booked.

Took my best friend for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Fabulous food, fantastic service, great wine selection, the whole experience was just excellent.
Our first visit for lunch will not be our last. Very attentive and friendly staff. Food presentation and flavor was 1st class, befitting a 1 or 2 hat restaurant, but more affordable!

Food was great, Service was good, wine list great, sprit choices a little limited. 3 courses for $79 was exceptional. Nice limited menu with enough choices to ensure a well rounded menu done well.
Having been to Ecco before and had a wonderful time, I was really excited to go back. It didn't quite live up to my expectations this time, however I hesitate to put this down to anything other than having a bad night at the office (Ecco not me).
The service itself was sporadic but verging on what felt almost inattentive initially and we were 4 people seated at a large round table made for more so conversation in an open, relatively boisterous restaurant was very difficult.
But being far from all doom and gloom, the mocktails were excellent (dry January paying off) and the food was 80% very good (all 4 starters and 3 of the mains), 20% disappointing (sirloin was overcooked IMO - requested rare, was medium rare verging on medium, dessert was........uninspiring) but the overall general feel from half of our party was underwhelming. (The other two would have a ball sitting in a brown paper bag so i mostly discount their annoying positivity..............maybe i need to be more like them)
Overall it was what you would expect from this type of restaurant, professional, yet courteous and good food.

NYE dinner. Opted for 6 course set menu. Overall we felt as a whole that the food was OK without being great. We are use to high standards at Ecco so perhaps it was just an off night or the menu didn’t live up to the hype. Not sure.
Service from our male waiter was very good.
My group of 6 enjoyed a delicious lunch in a warm inviting restaurant. The service was excellent as all of our individual needs were met. I would recommend for others to eat at E’cco Bistro.

We dined on a Thursday night and we brought along a couple of special bottles of our own vintage wine. The staff treated it with great care. Overall the staff were friendly and attentive. We chose the A La Carte menu and we were all pleased with our choices. The food was beautifully cooked, flavoursome and well portioned. We enjoyed the relaxed vibe and would definitely return in the near future.
