Was expecting the food to be amazing but it was super average, lacked flavour and seasoning. We had the tasting menu and only 2 of the 5 dishes were okay. However the service and ambience was amazing. Probably wouldn’t come back until there is a better menu.
A bit slow in serving food. But overall food was great. One order didn’t come. But that’s fine since we’re full as well.
We’ve been to eazy peazy multiple times the food is always on point. They don’t disappoint
Great food, plenty of options including heaps of vegan options. Excellent value and service!
The food took so long to come out. It was great when it finally turned up, but everyone in the restaurant seemed to be as confused by how slow the kitchen was.
Overall a fair experience. Service was very good, attentive waiter. Food was nice but not amazing. For example chicken karage, needed something else to balance it like some shaved cabbage. Again, Salmon yakitori, ok but lacked something else to balance it like some soy, I was searching for salt. I thought the crumbed eggplant in Japanese curry was the really nice. Prices are on the higher side of average.
Amazing! I came across this place by accident, my friend loves Japan and I took him here for his birthday. He said it was like being back there.
The menu is unlike anything I've seen. I highly reccomend the fried cauliflower it's the best cauliflower you'll ever have.
The cocktails also have a Japanese twist to them and are so delicious.
Great place for a quick and casual meal with friends. good food and good value.
Great service. Food overpriced . Nice atmosphere
All dishes were fabulous except the eggplant in curry sauce that didn’t quite work.
Standouts were Kingfish, cauliflower, salmon hibachi skewers, wagyu hibachi skewers.
Third time to Eazy Peazy and will definitely be back again.
We had the 9 plate tasting menu and it did not disappoint. Portions were a generous size for a tasting menu and there was an excellent variety of dishes to try. The yakitori was on point, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our wait staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and located close to Richmond station.
Found this place on Google and have no regrets! Really tasty food and plenty of options for vegetarians
The skewers are amazing and not to mention the service from the asian girl and the bartender is super good!!
Visited Eazy Peazy again with my family. We enjoyed the food and experience very much. We had Omakase, and enjoyed every dish. The food is amazing in taste, fresh and creative. The yakitori and king wing were chargrilled nicely. Surprise us the most is the cauliflower with gabi glaze. Never thought cauliflower can be cooked that way and it is super delicious. We will be back to try other dishes!
I can't wait to go back. We had such a lovely afternoon. Food was great, so were the staff.
The food and staff were fantastic. We just felt a bit rushed.
service was fantastic explanation of the foods made it hard to order, chef had approximately 10 specials that were verbally given to you that you had to remember.
Pork main large meal was dry and expensive for really grilled pork and potatoe salad.
we walked out hungry spent $119.00 on food alone.
disappointed on the experience.
Katsu curry and scallops were the stand out! Staff were super lovely and cocktails were creative
The food was OK. We tried the vegan 5 course set menu. Right from the start the waitress couldn't seem to comprehend that all three of us wanted to eat that. I had to spell it out, more and more slowly, three times. As soon as the drinks came, we knew we were in trouble. We were en route to a party where there would be free drinks, so we thought we'd just share a carafe of chardonnay between two of us and the other ordered a light beer. Out came one glass of chardonnay and a full strength beer. The food was unfortunately easy not so healthy vegan.... ie three of the five courses were deep fried. I guess we should have known; we were the only diners in the joint with grey hair. Oftentimes it seems that places that cater mainly for young people don't care much about service, more about banter. Don't think we'll rush back.
Food was really really good, but portion was abit small
Good experience. Efficient on-line booking, tasty food and good service.
Waited too long for drinks (some food arrived first) and also for main food.
I don't mind paying more money for good quality food, but these were small portions of disappointment.
The meatballs were bland and the egg yolk added nothing to them. The pork crackle was stale and karaage was bland with an unnecessary green sauce added to the mayonnaise that was too herbaceous and overpowering. The kingfish was thickly sliced and in a sauce that overpowered it's flavour so all you could taste was orange. All of the dishes were lacking a balance of flavours; either bland or had one element that stood out for all the wrong reasons.
When brought to the staff's attention that the crackling was stale and we were disappointed in the food, they did comp the pork crackle and brought an additional beef skewer on the house. Even with that and paying $100 for 2 without drinks, we left still hungry. We didn't get drinks because they were stupidly priced for everything.
Throughout the whole meal, we weren't asked how anything was, they cleared the plates and didn't say anything. At the end we were finally asked. I won't be going back there unless they have a serious overhaul of their menu. It's a shame because it's a beautiful spot, great for people watching.
Food was amazing! The service was really disappointing, food got missed and we got charged for things we never ordered on our bill. When I asked someone to take it off, they asked me to go ask one of the other staff, who proceeded to be amazingly rude. Lots of back and forth to try and get something that should have been very simple to sort out. Such a shame because the actual place itself is such a good vibe and the food was good
Food was bland. Tasting menu does not elaborate well. Overpriced for its taste
Amazing experience. Great food. Good service. Try the sake, it was perfectly matched. Will definitely return.
Second visit. Fabulous and flavoursome food! Highly recommend
Your a regular now! Thank you for taking the time to review, we hope to see you again soon.
Had high hopes about this place but food was definitely hit and miss. Yakitori wise, oyster mushrooms had too many conflicting flavours but meatballs and wings were pretty good. Grilled pork was the best dish of the night. Didn’t understand the hype behind the bone marrow Mori.
Hey Hugh, The oyster mushrooms were a special for the evening and the chefs used a bit of creative flair, thank you for the feedback though. Happy to hear you enjoyed our menu items. Thank you for allocating time to review our venue.
Suggest wait staff don’t consistently and abruptly interrupt table conversations.
Hey, We apoligise for being overly attentive, we will take this into consideration moving forward. We hope you enjoyed the food and beverages.
Loved this place. The food was delicious and the service was perfect, friendly and engaging but not intrusive. They knew the menu, the wines, and struck the right note.
Hey Tim, Firstly, love the category choices :) Thank you for mentioning our staffs enthusiastic approach to service, its what we pride ourselves on. We appreciate your efforts in in reviewing our venue.
Very enjoyable and different. Lovely service and food.

Fabulous food, ambience and service - highly recommend this restaurant.
Hey, Thank you for the kind words and recommendation. We are definitely aiming to be a neighborhood gem!
Had a really lovely evening, food and wine was amazing, and the staff were awesome and helped us with suggestions. Highly recommend.
Hey Amy, We're pleased to read that you had a lovely evening. Our current wine list is 100% Australian, in an attempt to help our local vineyards recover from '2020' so its nice to know you enjoyed the wines.
This restaurant is pure class, yet totally down to earth. Top notch inventive mod-Japanese, fantastic produce, skilfully prepared, with top-shelf yet relaxed and fun service. One of the best restaurant finds for me in Melbourne in the five or six years I’ve lived here.
This is the classiest review we've read in quite some time. It's wonderful to hear that our venue has made it in your 'top venues' list. Thank you for your kind words and time to write this fantastic review.
Very nice staff, great food. Would recommend the cured kingfish yum! And the salmon yakitori!
The cured kingfish is one of our favourites too, we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit. We appreciate the review.
Food wasn't as good as the previous time I had been, and it took a lot longer than the first time as well. Disappointing really after the first experience had been so good.
Hi Terrance, We do have an ever changing menu that coincides with seasonally available ingredients. The positives outweigh the negatives in using this approach. In saying that, sometimes new dishes may take a little longer then previous menu items. We are always looking for ways to excel so we thank you for your feedback and the time to write it.
Third visit and they've updated the menu again - it just keeps getting better and better. The new additions to the menu are incredible - we ended up ordering a second serving of the scallops (they were that good) and both my friend and I agreed that the chicken karaage was the best either of us had ever eaten. Already planning my next visit!
Hey Tee, We celebrate the emphasis on seasonal ingredients, it's an integral part of Japanese cuisine. It's also incredibly exciting to see what new and wonderful ingredients and dishes the chefs create. It ensures each visit is a new experience and hopefully on your fourth visit it will be just that. The scallops and karaage are fantastic staples of the menu, and our staff agree. Hopefully majority vote is honored by the chefs and we can continue to have those dishes as an offering.
Eazy Peazy was a real treat. We ordered a wide selection of Yakitori and everything was tasty and distinct.
Nice vibe for a small group.
Hey Matt, Your review is a real treat. Ordering a variety of both the Hibachi and Yakitori offerings is a fantastic way to enjoy a visit at Eazy Peazy, so we're pleased to read that's how you dined. Thank you for the review.
We were meant to dine here on V day but due to lockdown we had to postpone the original plan a week. We managed to get a last min reservation and ended up gatecrashing our friend’s date. The staff were very accomodating and moved our tables together, they were friendly and warm, and very quick to continuously clear our tables and serve us. Every single dish we ordered - which was about 8, was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning to try some dishes we missed, as well as re-order some prior dishes. Make sure you also try some of the cocktails from their beautiful bar. Honestly was so delighted but this classy little place.
Hey Annon, That five day lockdown did give everyone a different experience of Valentines day. We are pleased that your gatecrashed double date at our venue was an enjoyable one. On your next visit may we suggest trying our tasting menu, it ensures a wide variety of the entire menu and a confidence in knowing you've tried what we would consider a perfect dining experience. Thank you for taking the time to write this review.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, and service was prompt. Good selection of food, loved the crispy anchovies and the chicken karaage in particular. A good wine list, thoroughly enjoyed the Pinot Gris from Blampied. Will come back.
