Earls Kitchen + Bar - Tysons Corner Ratings and Reviews
Our server, Flavia, was outstanding, even on a busy night. She suggested I try one of the house variations of Old Fashioneds. Great call. She also navigated us to the steak and sushi entree, which was also a hit. Earl's is better for fun groups than quiet conversational dining, and we'll definitely be back to explore more of the Old Fashioneds and the menu.
This is my new favorite restaurant in McLean!!! Very hip location near TYSON’s Mall. Place was quite noisy when we walked in, very popular. I was initially afraid it would be too loud but turns out that was from the bar/lounge area as you could expect, once we were seated it was all good. Now on to the review. First, I had best waitress I’ve ever had in my 50 years of living. If you’re lucky, they will seat you in Flavia’s section!! She was very friendly and engaging and VERY knowledgeable about the menu. She took time to explain the prep for all of the dishes and make great recommendations. We took all of her suggestions and were not disappointed. Must try for appetizers: spicy salmon roll, bacon mac n cheese (to die for) and the avacado toast. All exceptional. Also, try the clam chowder. It was thick and delicious, full of clams, bacon, potatoes and carrots. I had the chicken tacos for meal which was also very delicious. To end the visit, we tried the chocolate cake. This pit the cherry on top of the evening. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Will definitely go back again and ask to be seated in Flavia’s section!!!
Earl's was very busy and very loud. The food was good and the server was average. Didn't ask us if we wanted wine with dinner after our cocktails were done. Had to ask for things and reached across people to serve. Food out weighted the average to poor service
Meh. So much for half price bottles of wine on Tuesdays. They let us taste a rose and then informed us they did not have a bottle. What? Service was friendly but horrendously slow. The food was average - I've had better sushi from the grocery store. The bar area was very busy. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner.
Great happy hour. Fun location right at Tysons metro. Food and service are very good. My only complaint is the inside noise level is beyond "energetic" and makes it very hard to have any reasonable conversation without shouting across the table. Don't know if anything can be done about it.
Excellent food, great location. The only fault that I have of the restaurant is some of the waitress' necklines were so low that I was a little concern that parts of their anatomy was to hang out. The restaurant is nice, the food is good, so this is not necessary to drive customers through the door.
Overall the experience was great. I ordered the cajun chicken: It was cooked perfectly and the skin had a perfect, crispy crust seared onto it. It also had quite a kick—perfect if you like spicy food. The sides of coleslaw and potatoes were also delicious. The service was exceptional: Our server was professional and proper, as well as knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant was well lit, but a little loud. It soon quieted down, though, and I didn't have any trouble hearing my date. Given the food and overall experience, I would say this restaurant provides excellent value for your money.
Our server (Danielle H) was informative, fun, helpful, and truly made the experience. It was quite busy and so our food took much longer than we or the staff had anticipated, a ridiculous amount of time in fact (over 45 minutes). Other than that, it was great!
Great atmosphere with good food. Bar menu is just that but the full menu is very broad and will appeal to many tastes. Made reservations for 10 to do a NFL Fantasy draft party. Bar was very very busy and they got a bit behind but staff worked to get us or drinks. Excellent waitress, Sabrina she that really helped make the event a success. Very interested in making sure things were a success and that everyone had what they wanted. Never interrupted but always available.
Big Burger was good once it came as ordered. Wings, Sushi roles, artichoke dip were all very good. Beer was cold and fresh. I will return.
