Earls Kitchen + Bar - Tysons Corner Ratings and Reviews
Earl’s is conveniently located near the Hyatt regency in Tyson’s Corner Mall. Even with a reservation, we had to wait an extra 20 mins to be seated. We ordered a veggie burger, regular burger, swordfish tacos and sushi. Nothing was very good in all honestly. The burger was really very so so. Our server was dramatic, tried to be impressive, but never brought us water or checked on us. He talked way too much, and was overbearing. Probably won’t come back. We expected really nice food, but ended up with food that tastes more like BJ’s.
The food took too long.. My order was messed up.. The location is great...The waitress did ok... It was just an inconvinience that we had a time frame of about 1.5 -2 for the office brunch and the food itself took over 50min to one hr to get to our table. One of our guest had to leave due to the delay..And one half our orders were salads the other half burgers. So, no need to take close to an hr for that.. Very disappointed dont know if I will ever host an office brunch / lunch ever again..
Server was not as attentive as some of his counterparts and we were often left waiting. Coffee and meal were lukewarm, but good...probably a result of waiting for pickup. Overall would recommend but restaurant could use some finesse in the areas of timeliness and overall customer service. Not as polished as I'd hoped.
The food is good but the service is abysmal. The section we were in was nearly empty so there's no excuse for the terrible service we received. We would watch as our waitress walked right next to our table to attend to the others nearby, and then pass us again to leave the section. We were completely skipped over many times as the tiny water glasses they provide sat empty. Our waters were refilled one time after we placed our order and before we got our food, but then never again for the rest of the meal. I was sucking on the ice cubes from my cocktail just to get some hydration while eating. We were never offered dessert so one person in our party had to get up and go to the bar for a menu, but we decided it wasn't worth waiting on our waitress to order anything else. When we finally got the checks and asked for some boxes, it took another 15 minutes for her to bring those even though she left and came back to our section a few times (but never to our table, of course!) We're not needy or hard to please, so when everyone in our party noticed and commented on how bad the service was, then that's a really bad sign.
Great food, good staff... but service is slow.... if you’re in a hurry which we were not... this is not the place for your meal. If you want a nice leisurely paced meal, then by all means, come here. We enjoyed our time. It’s not cheap, burgers are huge... Bibimbap was thoroughly enjoyed by my husband. Swordfish tacos were bland and a bit over cooked. The curry chicken was ok. Everyone did enjoy the chorizo fondido and the avocado toast apps... Great Bloody Mary’s... We never received our bread which we were informed warrants an upcharge, which we agreed to??? Our server dropped a dinner plate which shattered loudly for which he apologized for, we shared a chuckle over that...
Unfortunately, we have aged out of Earl’s. My husband and I were seated just about as far from the bar as you could get and we could barely hear ourselves talk over the techno music.
The water server must have walked by our table 5 times and never looked at our water glasses which needed filling.
I didn’t like my ribs because they were fatty. Paid 6 bucks to park in their garage and they don’t validate. Disappointing evening.
I like Earls. Simple menu, good service and a good atmosphere. A good casual place to have lunch. I had the swordfish tacos which were good. The flour shells were a little over cooked but ok. I also had a side Caesar salad which was fine. Very convenient in tysons with decent food and service.
It was our first time there as a family, as my husband has enjoyed many lunches there and was excited to have us try it. From the scattered service, to the loose Sushi rolls, over cooked and dry chicken sandwiches on plates far too small for their size. It all just was a mess. And to top off not eating our lunch they gave a huge plate of chocolate cake and ice cream...which didn’t help since we had no real food after an hour of craziness. The server was hustling and the manager was on it, but in the end we marked this place off off our list after this wasted afternoon.
Great tasting food. Small portions for brunch. However, I don't think I'll be back. Why? All the plates/champagne glasses were very poorly washed. They were dirty both visually and to the touch. It's a shame. The truffle fries are amazing though (they're served on paper so no dirty dishware concerns there at least).
We arrived earlier than originally planned but Earls staff was warm and welcoming and able to seat us. Drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert were all tasty and generous, shareable portions. We stayed for almost 4 fun-filled hours...until the noise level got to the point we couldn’t hear one another any more.
“Energetic” noise level was the worst choice but it is not accurate. It is IMPOSSIBLE to carry on a conversation (and this was a Tuesday night dinner). you have to yell and repeat to talk and of course every table has to do that. No acoustical mitigation.
Awful! Would never go back
