My wife and I love this place. We drive all the way from MD as often as possible.
We always love their creative menus but that day 04/19 during happy hour, it was painfully noisy.
We even lost our appetite.
It was so busy not so good service.
They are definitely lack of servers.
The food came first and had to wait for the drinks another 12 mins.
We wanted salt and peppers again no servers to ask for we got them when we were almost finishing our food.
The acoustics is absolutely horrible- way too loud, even louder at the bar. The menu is very limited which leads one to believe that the food must be really good, especially considering the prices! An average sushi roll (which had no fish on it, just veggies!) shouldn't cost $12+ in my opinion. The food and drinks are overpriced for what it is. Servers practically have to hug you to take an audible order. Even though our server was nice, he didn't know what he was doing. When there are 2 different amounts of pours on glasses of wines, you cannot just assume people want the larger one and charge for it. ASK! The splitting up the bill was a nightmare. Our server had to go back three times to fix things and I promise it wasn't rocket science! Never fixed it so we just paid- nice scheme by the restaurant to let patron's frustrations mount to the point where they don't care anymore and just want to get out of there. Additionally, there are tons of other servers and runners walking around constantly but seemingly not doing much or paying any attention to the tables. It seems as though the hiring of servers and any personnel running around (literally not sure what they were doing other than pretending to be busy) is largely based on age (super young) and looks and style. Bathrooms are a pitiful - no hands towels at 7pm on Wednesday night. I tried to convince my group to not go there as I had a similar experience there about a year ago, but was willing to give it another try. That's it.
The food was good and there is a nice menu selection. The service was slow and the staff members seemed like they did not want to be there. My friend’s order was put in incorrectly but they were prompt about correcting it.
BIG SPACE, LITTLE LOUD.
YOUNG PROFESSIONALS, HIPSTER.
FEELS LIKE A HOTEL RESTAURANT.
Had a great server, she went above and beyond for my birthday dinner. She made sure we were served well and improvised a birthday candle for my cake. She was very friendly and made good selections of the restaurants finest drinks and food options. Food was amazinggggg. I’ll definitely recommend it to others
Very bad service. Server never even came to table. Host took our order and we had to wait about 30 minutes to even order food. Will be eating at bar next time.
Service was extremely slow, one of our orders was wrong. Took over 15-20 to get our check. Our server never really checked in, had to ask manager and other servers for help.
The entire staff (including the manager) was more concerned about socializing with the lounge table with about 10 of their friends than any of the customers. The servers were serving our food while socializing with their friends. They allowed yelling across the restaurant and gave no regard for the PAYING customers. They were paying so little attention that I never got a refill of my drink and waited for silverware until my meal started to get cold.
I love the relaxed but hip feel of this place . I definitely would return to try more dishes. The warm kale salad was amazing. It was our servers 3rd day on the job but she did well considering. Service was well-timed and friendly, pricing is a little high for similar dishes in the Tysons area.
Must mention that wines by the glass are overpriced!
Overall good experience. Servers and seaters were good. The quality of the food was decent, but I feel that it was not as good as it was when it opened.
I love Earls but this night not so much. Service was the worst
Service was super slow.
Small and limited menu, table had glass partition so minimal privacy. Won’t be a returning customer.
Too loud. Invest in some sound deadening materials.
Even though i had a confirmed reservation, the front desk told my friend that we don't have a reservation and informed OpenTable that I didn't show up.
The food is ok, I don't think I will go back here.
I love Earl’s and frequent it often. It’s a fun bar with great food. Friday evening was a disappointment though, so I will think harder about going the next time. We arrived with a reservation for 2 in the bar area, and seated in one of the giant booths in the very back of the bar. The very large booth accommodates about five people and was far removed from the bar, although I suppose technically it would be considered the bar. We asked for a different table and they kindly accommodated us. But after sitting a few minutes, we were told we would have to move halfway through the evening since they had large party coming. Ok. They were apologetic.
In the beginning of the evening we had great service. The manager, and two servers were asking us constantly what we’d like and really doubling their efforts, although getting water was a big problem and we were told they had broken a lot of their water glasses?? We asked several times. It it took forever to get a tiny glass of water. Once they got busier we could not get anyone to serve us, hard as we tried. We were pretty much ignored or had to frantically wave someone down as they passed. They seemed very short staffed and out original thinking that the service was so great quickly vanished. It was frustrating.
The food was great and our server was wonderful. The only complaint was the hostess. She was very rude and unpleasant. She made it seem like it was a hassle that we were there on a reservation and that she needed to seat us. It wasn’t a good start, but lucky our server’s friendliness and attentiveness more than made up for it.
Great food and vibes
Earl's Kitchen was a great restaurant to celebrate the wedding anniversary with my wife. The ambiance of the restaurant was of a modern design. There were plenty of windows to see outside, and it made the restaurant seem bigger than it really was. The food was excellent, good portions, good tastes. The alcoholic beverages were affordable and of good portions. The wait staff was friendly and full of smiles. We will go back! I wish I remembered the name of our waitress, but I don't...she provided excellent service and really made the overall experience pleasant.
2nd time there. Will not go back. It’s on the list. Manager ruined the dining experience. Arrogance and attitude. Food is ok - was good first time. The menu is whatever.
Good music, waiter gave outstanding service , low menu selection drinks are over price.
It was great per usual...the Korean hot wings truffle fries and mojitos keep me coming!
A nice Sunday evening dinner out at Earls with my wife and daughter. Overall, an enjoyable meal and experience. While it wasn’t too busy, Earls had its usual energy and a lively vibe.
Went on a busy Friday evening and the staff handled it well. When our reservation was delayed they kept us informed and seated us as soon as possible. Food was very good as was the service. Standouts were the Korean wings and the tomato soup.
Took 25-30 minutes before getting acknowledged by the manager (not a server)
I wanted to recognize an outstanding employee you have at the Tyson's Corner restaurant - his name is Faisal. He was fantastic and really made us feel welcomed and taken care of.
We arrived before there was a crowd and got seated quickly at a booth. The seat on my side of the booth had crumbs all over it and had to ask to have it wiped off. The menu I was given had some food dried on the inside of it and the inside of the menu was torn when a prior customer had opened it. Yuck. The waitress was very nice, helpful and responsive. Fish tacos were good but the serving of fish on each taco was pretty small; chicken sandwich was okay but would not order again. Not sure I will be going back again. There are too many restaurants in the Tysons area to choose from to put up with one that is mediocre at best.
Ambiance is always great, this plays draws a really good looking crowd. Reminds me of places back home in California, doesn’t have that country, downhome vibe that places in VA tend to have. The food was GREAT! Our server was nice, just a tad bit off.
Truly enjoyed our evening here as we did at their Assembly Mall location near Boston, MA. Keep up the great food, staff and ambience.
The acoustics are terrible, so its always extremely loud. Wine menu is fantastic, but the food menu pales drastically in comparison. Don't even bother going there during the week during rush hour, its extremely crowded and you even need reservations for the high tops in the bar.
We got there early and waited for our business partner to arrive. Once he did we were seated. We did not see anyone come by the table for 15 minutes. It was lunch time and they were not packed so we didn't understand why we hadn't had anyone stop by to at least greet us. Finally, we got menu's and a quick hello. We decided on a couple sushi rolls which were very good. We also ordered entree's a little afterwards and they were mixed up and then on the way the waiter (it looked like he was having a rough day), dropped the food for one of us and then gave the entree's to the wrong people. They were good but we had to wait to get the other people served. You would have thought at least a manager would stop by to at least speak to us and say hello and ask if we needed anything else, especially after the orders were not accurate and since the plates were dropped too. Accidents do happen and we do understand. I'm surprised that a manager did not at least apologize about the inconvenience ect.....For a restaurant in Tyson's Corner, I've very, very surprised that more was not done. Not a big fan for now. We might give them another opportunity but it won't be anytime soon.
It is a loud restaurant with a vibrant crowd. The meal was good.
The food was good, but pretty expensive for what it was. The service was professional. the noise level was high enough to make quiet conversation difficult.
Wasn't blown away by the margarita, but the old fashioned was good and the gin+tonic was excellent.
