Pat the server was inattentive and then rude at the end of dinner. Ruined my experience.
The food was delicious. I especially loved the steak tartare and the crème brûlée.
wonderful as always
Great craft cocktails and Drew is the best waiter.
Service, food, and drinks weee top notch. Only complaint was the boards were a little overpriced for what you got but everything else was awesome!!
Fantastic place. Great service, comfortable interiors, amazing drink selection and innovative food.
Always great food and service, and amazing drinks!
We love everything about this place. The only thing that throws one off from an incredible experience is the very standoffish hostess. She doesn’t acknowledge you when you come in, and almost seems annoyed that she has to deal with you. She if she needs to get past you for something she doesn’t even say excuse me - it’s just odd.
One of my favorite spots in the city... great cocktails, stellar food and seasonal dishes
With the change of weather, many places haven’t adjusted to having a warmer environment inside. The ambiance and service were great but the cold draft posed an issue. We had a reservation and waited about 5 minutes to sit. I am excited to go back on a warmer day.
Our outside table had no heaters. We asked to be seated near a heater and was told we needed a reservation even though we had a reservation. Then 2 of the reserved tables sat empty the whole time we were there. 😞
Drinks are some of the best I ever had. Food is outstanding.
The place is beautiful, trendy and cool.
A bit pricey, but worth it.
Great spot for cocktails and light fare. Interesting restored building with casual decor. Great service, inventive cocktails, delicious food from a talented chef.
A bonafide Gin experience. If you aren't overly familiar with it alllow the staff to walk you through with a tasting. Give yourself over to them and they will treat you right.
We had a great time coming in from DC for a birthday present for my husband—a concert at the Hippodrome. Dutch Courage was exactly what we were looking for: interesting place with great drinks and light snacks to relax before the show. Very friendly staff. Snacks were creative and tasty. It was a rainy night and we really just enjoyed the ambience and watching the rain out the windows of the lovely building. It’s a great Baltimore place. We will be back!
Great atmosphere! Chill Music! Food and service were pretty great. We came during a Tuesday night so it may be busy during the weekend but I enjoyed our visit very much.
Beautiful space, not loud, choice of indoor, bar, or outdoor seating. The outdoor space seemed more lively, if that's what you're looking for. We sat inside. Meat and cheese boards are build you own, with each choice priced separately. We ordered prosciutto, goat cheese and gouda, and it came with candied figs, olives, orange marmalade and crostini. Everything was good. Entrees were burrata salad and sea scallops. Both were good, but seemed a bit pricey. If we were to go back, we'd probably just go for drinks and snacks.
A fantastic and fun temple to gin. A great place to connect with friends.
Dutch Courage consistently delivers: great cocktails, great service, tasty treats. It's become one of my top go-to spots in Baltimore
Great outdoor courtyard. Loved the duck wings and deviled eggs + gin drinks.
Great service and everything from cocktail to meal to dessert was wonderful.
Had to go with a 3 stars for food as it truly was the best and the not so great. Pickled deviled eggs were not good but the duck wings were fantastic. The mushroom cheesesteak was seriously one of the best things I’ve ever eaten but the forbidden rice ramen was bland and extremely disappointing. Plus forbidden rice is black in color. I assumed what I’d ordered was going to be black rice “ramen style” with broth and veggies but it was just regular noodles. Same with the cocktails - the Eleanor, Hanky Panky, and 9 Lives were amazing. But the final drink in our foursome - Che Vuoi - be warned… it contains Italian spices and parsley and tastes like you are drinking
Lovely ambiance. Tasty fancy food. Amazing drink menu (will have to come back to try other gin drinks -- so many to choose from). A little loud for our taste and the menu could have a larger more accessible font for the visually impaired, but we had a wonderful visit and will be back.
Both dinners at Dutch Courage have been memorable for the delightful cocktails, ambience, and service. The dinner menu isn’t exhaustive but you can put together a tasty cheese, meat & seafood board a la carte. Their cocktails are all amazing. And when I went for a friend’s birthday last night, our waiter brought out champagne as we sat down. This is the place I’d want to take friends to for special events.
Excellent service. So energetic and attentive. Delicious cocktails and the pastrami melts are so good! The fact that you can make a reservation for outdoor seating is so nice!
I keep coming back to Dutch Courage and introducing friends to this wonderful spot not only because the cocktails are great, but consistently some of the best service in Baltimore. The server and staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed
The food and drinks were incredible (we got beef carpaccio, duck wings, and scallops), and our server was so kind and considerate! It was a very special meal and we look forward to coming back to Dutch Courage again.
Dutch Courage is a cool spot on the cusp of Station North and Charles Village. It's a beautifully restored large rowhouse/brownstone building with curious objects decorating the interior and a beautiful outdoor patio in the back. The specialty is gin, with over 100! and the cocktails are creative and well prepared. The food was excellent, though a somewhat small selection (2 main courses, 3 sandwiches, and several small plates). We tried 7 dishes and enjoyed them all. The only room for improvement was the service. The waitstaff was polite, but did not present the menu, and the dishes all came out at once despite us requesting them to be coursed. Probably just growing pains of an excellent new restaurant!
Our new favorite place! Can’t wait to go back and enjoy the outdoor seating and flights available on their menu.
My first time at Dutch Courage was great. My friends and I were impressed by the breadth of the cocktail and liquor menus. We got a flight of gins and especially loved the 'Earl Grey' Corgi.
We had 2 cocktails, the lepentauer cheese, Beef carpaccio, sardine bread and some prosciutto. All were great, but the carpaccio was the winner.
Great place. Amazing drinks. Food is beyond incredible. Bartenders are the best. Get seats at the bar, you won’t be disappointed.
This place never disappoints!!! The food, service and drinks are right on!
Went for a cocktail while waiting for my train to come in; the bar staff was hospitable, and the cocktails were complex and tastyyyy
A Baltimore must. Top of the line cocktails and great food.
Outstanding spirits and drinks menu. Really enjoyed all 4 of the beverages that my husband and I ordered.
The food menu needs to be expanded a little - all of the dishes are expensive and the number of selections is very small. I liked my entree, but didn't find anything that I really was enthusiastic about ordering.
Gorgeous patio and indoor seating.
Best bar/restaurant in all of Baltimore!
Great cocktails, very good snacks. Minimal dinner choices but the cocktail list makes up for it.
What a wonderful cool unique find! Very fun. Bravo DC
Great unique drinks, good food and outstanding service.
