DRIFTHOUSE by David Burke
Fresh baked pop-overs, seasonal starters and signature table-shares like the bacon clothesline and chorizo & octopus kebabs are fan faves.
Patented Salt-Aged steaks and hand-cut pastas are shore to please. Dive into a west coast oyster and enjoy a 3lb. Lobster right from our tank-to-your-table. Finish with a mouth-watering dessert, made in-house by our very own pastry chef Stuart.
We have taken our beverage program to the next level by partnering with local farms, distilleries and breweries right here on the Jersey Shore. Barrel-aged cocktails are next on the list of things to pour and our boutique wine list evolves with every sip.

It was great!
Food was excellent. They brought out appetizer almost immediately and then forgot about the popovers. My husband was offered another drink and I was not. Overall, the food was excellent. The Tuna Steak was amazing.
food is always great Tuesday night burger night is a great deal!!
David Burke delivers delicious food in a beautiful beachfront restaurant.
Service was fantastic, from greeting upon arrival, having a drink at the bar before waiting to be seated as requested, to the greeting from our server (Brittany) as we were seated at our dinner table. Brittany was very pleasant, interactive and friendly. She did a great job throughout dinner service. Appetizers were tasty (bacon, lobster dumplings, shrimp cocktail) and main dishes were very good. I inquired about wine by the glass and samples were brought to the table for tasting. It's rare that you see that in most restaurants. It's a splurge, but really enjoyed the porterhouse steak. Be patient for the bread as they are freshly made popovers. Overall excellent experience and will return soon.
They ran a Tuesday night burger special. They were a bit unexpectedly over crowded and ran out of a few items, but overall, it was great! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Outstanding. Great value.
Today was burger night. Food was yummy but service was fair as they were not around. Perhaps the bar staff and kitchen needed more staff: The music was good but where they were positioned made it extremely difficult to hear each other.....even the kids couldn’t hear....in case you were wondering if it was age related. Value on Burger night is awesome.
Amazing!! It was great!!
Terrible slow service 40 minutes for a hamburger. and for this i wont return. The slower waiter . The place is very nice.Service was terrible
Loved their new burger night. Been there before. Definitely going back
My teenage son and I arrived 10 minutes early to our 6pm reservation for a party of 6 on Tuesday evening/Burger Night. We weren’t seated because the rest of our party had not arrived. That was annoying as there’s no place to wait and it was getting crowded and I really wanted to relax with a martini before dinner which I couldn’t get with my minor son in tow and jostling a martini in a crowded area wasn’t my idea of relaxing. The burgers were terrific and cooked to perfection for all of us! Fries were spot on and the onion rings would have been 5-star were it not for the touch of curry flavor none of us were expecting. Brittany was our server and she was incredible. She was energetic, extremely polite and attentive. Brittany is wonderful at what she does! There was live music as well that was fantastic and appreciated by the patrons. We had a wonderful time! But it would have been stellar had we been seated upon arrival with an ice cold martini in hand.😉🍸 Highly recommend for any night!
DINNER With FRIENDS
Angry hour at the bar was great . Good drinks, good food and excellent value.
Dinner was a disappointment. Service was very slow . Took 45 minutes to get appetizers. We were spending more time chatting with our friends so dealt with this fine .
When dinner was served one person in the group ordered the veal chop . The menu stated grilled or special chef prep. The waitress did not clarify this choice and we expected the MP grilled chop. Unfortunately the waitress brought a veal chop that was chef prepared -fried with salad on top. We were confused and disappointed.
Due to health concerns as inability to eat fried foods The orders was taken back . Due to slow service and lateness of the evening an additional selection was not desired.
No apologies given.
The appetizers were truly memorable. The entrees were delicious and the cocktails were great.
The food was great and the service was great
Great food and Great service
I'm so glad we have this restaurant another try. We had the most AMAZING dinner last night. Our party of 4 were greeted promptly by our waitress (who was fantastic all night long) who took our drink ordered and recommended the spicy margarita specialty cocktail of the night. It was fantastic! For appetizers we had a dozen oysters and the clothesline bacon. The oysters were plump and creamy, while the think bacon tasted like pork belly. For dinner we had the Black Sea bass special, scallops and octopus, NY strip, and the shirt rubs. All outstanding and cooked to perfection. Our waitress kept our experience going with continued wine service and the lollipop tree dessert. It was truly and exceptional evening. To top of the evening, David Burke and the GM stopped by to check on us and say hello.
Great spot food excellent service very good no reason to have a band playing at a small venue you could barely hear yourself Much less your dinner company, makes NO sense!
Always wonderful! Great food, great waitstaff, great management! Rich is the Best!
I visited last year and was terribly disappointed. They lost our reservation and the place was utter chaos and noise. The food was ok but I had a terrible time.
I thought it only fair to give it another shot.
I showed up Sunday afternoon at 4. The place was empty, but still very loud!
The menu was small and we asked the waiter what the specials were, and he lamely responded "everything on the menu is special" Give me a break.
Prices were very high, but I certainly don't mind high prices if the food is worth it. It wasn't.
The lobster dumpling appetizer was mushy. My wife got the tuna, it was just ok. I had the lobster steak which again, the waiter raved about. It was terrible. Couldn't taste any lobster, and it was like a soufle of shrimp mouse.
I gave them a chance, now I'm done!
The food was outstanding. Lobster bisque, short ribs, brazino and desserts. And martinis. Jane, our waitress was efficient, friendly, and has a great sense of humor.
The casual atmosphere is very relaxing.
Be alert if you are standing in the hallway waiting for a table. It's the pathway between kitchen and seating area.
We will definitely go here again.
The location was not what we expected, being part of a cabana club, but the restaurant itself was nicely designed and relatively quiet despite the crowd. The food and service were very good, as has been our experience with chef Burke’s other restaurants.
The food was phenomenal as was the service. We were able to enjoy our meal and our company. We look forward to our next dining experience with them.
The food was awesome. Best steak i had in years. service was great. If you have a few bucks to spend on a nice dinner def. the place to go.
Valentine’s Day is always busy in restaurants, and Drifthouse was no exception. The bar and dining rooms were packed, especially since we had a late reservation, as probably was the case for most of the others that were waiting to be sat. We had a cocktail, while our table was being cleared and then once seated, the service was very good. We all ordered off of the regular menu, although there was a prefix available. All of the apps were good, but not exceptional. The dinners though, were all delicious. We skipped dessert, because of the time. I would return on a less busy night, to try some other dishes.
Had a 7:30pm reservation and was not seated until after 8pm. That was the only blot on a lovely dining experience. Will definitely return (during the off-season).
Took my parents for Valentine's Day. You could choose the Valentine's Day menu or order from the regular menu which was great. As usual the food, drinks and service was wonderful. Would recommend going there for an occasion or for a regular meal
Went for Valentine’s Day and it was awesome. Food is tremendous, staff is great, and the ocean is right out the window. Only thing I don’t like is valet parking
Well we arrived at drift house at 730pm for 745pm reservation. We were told we couldn’t sit earlier as no tables - ok so off to the bar we proceed - order a unsweetened iced tea and 3 martinis which were very good . 745pn on the dot we sit down for dinner at the same table thst was free and unoccupied at 730pm when we arrived. Waitress comes over and takes drink order when she tells me sorry we don’t serve unsweetened iced tea here - as I’m finishing my drink I brought from the bar - which was correct - unsweetened iced tea - girl looked like a deer in headlights- long story short - veal chop medium comes out rare - the other food was ok - bacon was great but it’s hard to mess up bacon - overall the service was just horrible - after appetizers the waitress is cleaning off the table and 2xs wipes the crumbs right into floor instead of scooping me up w knife - disgusting - not good
Food was delicious, starters were on the lighter side, delish and left us wanting a little more with our party of 4. Might of been a little understaffed as we searched for our server a few times to fill glasses. Very busy but overall a nice night. Will be back. Thx
Food & service was outstanding! The bacon on the clothes line is a must. Don’t decide what you want until you hear the specials.
The food and service were great
First Class very inventive dish. Worth the price.
Steak was overcooked and service was rather slow. Not a horrible meal but unlikely to return.
WE frequent here and it's definitely worthy being noted as a top restaurant. What it comes down to... the Food is consistently delicious! Lobster dumplings, pastrami salmon carpaccio & clothesline bacon are our favorite apps, the main menu is creative and has something for everyone! They also have weekly happy hours offering upscale food and drink specials.
Our first time here was amazing. I remember service was great and we were licking every last morsel off our plates. This past visit was quite disappointing in comparison. We sat at the bar as almost every table was empty. I hae sitting in an "empty" restaurant. Our server/bartender was very attentive and sweet. Service was good. The food honestly was tasteless though. I miss the shaved artichoke salad - it's been a while since we've been there, but it was my go to back from AMA days, and I'm sad to see it no longer on the menu. Since I try to limit my dairy intake the only salad available was their house salad which was overly dressed, even though I asked for light on the dressing, and had tons of croutons - which are not even listed on the menu as a salad component. My husband had the Ceaser and said it was "good" . For our Main courses he ordered the Bronzino (same dish as our first visit) and I had the Tuna - both ordered without any modifications or requests. Both were nicely presented, but flavorless. I distinctly remember LOVING the artichoke hummos that came with his dish and was hoping I could add some flavor to my tuna but the pepper crusting my tuna was the only thing I could taste. I love spicy food so Im not complaining about the heat factor, but it drowned out any other flavor that might have been there. The side of angry broccoli on the other hand had no heat to it at all and was just disappointing. Its sad to have to write this review but its an honest one. For me the experience of eating out comes down to two things - the service and the food. I don't care about fancy names or interior design - give me a good experience and great food and I'm a repeat customer.
Chef David Burke never disappoints!!! ✌️😎🌴
Food was good but nothing special especially at this price point.
We have been here a few times and every time has been great!! We took our friends who are a little hard to please and they loved it too!
Looked like they may have been closing for a while.. they had nothing left on menu and no specials. First time in my life I walked out of restaurant without eating. We tipped our waitress and left.. very poor. Oh. We also frequent this restaurant and obviously left with a bad taste ( no taste) in our mouths
Would definitely recommend this to my friends. Looking forward to dining again.
