Dr Mauve Bar and Lounge

2nd time at this restaurant and it once again didn't disappoint. Inside was a little warm (it was 38+ degrees in Bright) but thankfully we were outside. Out waitress was brilliant, very happy and bubbly and engaged us well. They kept us well hydrated too. Highly recommended!

Great food, great atmosphere & service with a smile.. definitely a place to eat drink and enjoy!

The food was good although the pork dish was a bit of a disappointing dish to finish on. The cocktails were good and all of the other food was delicious.

Our waiter was weird, a bit over-hipster and steered us away from the Feed Me option on the menu because the ‘menu had changed and we’d only end up getting the cheaper things’ - he didn’t feel very honest.

The Feed Me option was great value. Delicious food and lovely staff.

Great staff and excellent service, knowledge and range of beers was perfect. Been here a few times and it’s always the same quality. Only had chips with our drinks so hence middle of the road score on food (great chips though). Favourite venue in Bright for the drinks alone. Have to have a meal there next time.

The most amazing food. Well done chef. We had kids, vegetarians and fussy eaters and everyone was happy! Great waitress too.

Excellent as usual. New menu and the ‘Feed Me’ idea was brilliant.

Dr Mauve is a great place to visit in Bright. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food arrives promptly. Our favourite item is the cauliflower.
A bit noisy when it’s full, but there’s a reasonable level of noise otherwise.

The only booking available was early but we made it work. The cocktails to start were well presented and lovely. The food however was amazing, shared everything including the dumplings, beef tataki and Ramen. Would look forward to going again next time I am in Bright.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Dr Mauve! Our server, Jake, was super friendly and hospitable, the food was delicious, and the cocktails were amazing. The venue even went out of its way to surprise me with a dessert (not found on their menu) for my birthday - so nice! Definitely worth a visit!

Greta cocktails and great variety on cocktail menu. Noisy, but expected. Comfortable couches and armchairs giving a relaxed vibe

Food is excellent. Highly recommend the share plates. Drinks great but very slow coming on occasion we visited. We would have bought many more but waited 15 mins from ordering to delivery.
A ridiculously loud table of guests at 7pm were allowed to continue squealing/swearing/yelling ruining the evening for other tables present. Despite requesting staff ask them to tone it down as it was a restaurant/not a pub - the staff didn’t think it was much of an issue as they were locals. Very rude of the guests and disappointing of the staff. Otherwise would have been a much more fabulous evening.

We really enjoyed our dinner and drinks at Dr Mauve Bar. We were greeted at the door and the staff were all super friendly and accommodating. We had a kid in tow and she shared in the dishes we ordered. The food was a really nice mix of asian flavours and styles. We had 6 share plates between the 3 of us and were rather well satisfied. We had a couple of very tasty cocktails too. Would absolutely go back again next time we're out that way.

Super tasty food and cocktails. We had such a great night, such a cool vibe, the service was awesome, out waiter recommended the best cocktails. Our food was delicious, we shared a number of plates and everything was delicious, if you are ever in the alpine region Dr Mauve is a must!

Choosing the $35 per head option saved us the hassle of trying to decide what to eat, and the food seemed endless. Our waitress Nat was outstanding, keeping the food and drinks coming without being too in-your-face or left wondering where she was. Highly recommended!

The best food in all of Bright. I cannot fault one thing. The menu is so well balanced with a range for everyone. The kids loved the chips, spring rolls and rice while us adults indulged in the Espresso Martini's and the most delightful curries, bao buns and dumplings. I absolutely love this place and couldn't rate it higher. The abmience is fantastic with a classy get cosy feel. Love Love Love.

I’ve been going to Dr Mauves since it opened and it’s still one of my favourite places in Bright. All my experiences at Mauves have been positive and the food and drinks remain consistently of a high quality. I brought along my sister and niece from out of town and they loved it, as I knew they would. Mauves is always at the top of my list of Bright eateries so I’ll see you again soon 🍹

We enjoyed eating at Dr Mauve. The food was outstanding and above expectations. However, the service was quite slow and we had an 8 year old girl with us who was desperately hungry. Other than that it was excellent

Although it was NYE, the service was very poor. The did warn us when we sat down that when you order share plates, they can come at any time, and not together. Well this was certainly the case. Edamame soy beans first, which came in a tiny bowl and eaten by the 3 of us in 2 mins. 15 mins later a bowl of chips, then the rest in dribs and drabs. Way overpriced too, we spent $150 to be moderately satisfied for 2 adults and one kid. Not a great experience overall.

Absolutely loved our NYE dinner here! Great atmosphere, awesome friendly staff and stunning food and drinks. Definitely try the prawn dumplings, fried chicken and the coconut katsu curry! OMG soooo good!

Poor customer service and our meals came out at different times.
Food was good tough but just disappointing that the customer service really didnt have much of an idea of there own menu or what was going on.

Tried this place when on vacation in Bright, menu looked tasty but sadly didn't not deliver. Despite a request for a proper table seating when booking we ended up with lounge chairs and a low table. We had 4 of the share plates between us which arrived at random times and the last course arrived over an hour after we arrived and was not worth the wait. We got the feeling it had been forgetten, how long does it really take to make baos! Food was average at best, lacking typical Asian flavours which you would have expected and is overpriced. Service is dreadful.

Waited longer for food then people we were seated prior to, asked for no coriander, half the plates had coriander, other half of plates delivered cold, and waitress forgot drink order. Cocktails were nice but.

Nice outside area with friends had sharing plates the oriental stuff is great especially the bao. Great service good cocktails nice atmosphere would recommend

Garden dining room experience very pleasant. The share dishes are delicious. Was a little dark in our corner but used the light on my phone to read the menu!
