Great venue, great food and one of the best views in Sydney
Expensive, our garlic bread came while in the middle of having lunch and not before. Salad was included per meal but 3 of us had to share from one small bowl. Ridiculous
Amazing view, lovely food, friendly service. Definitely will be back
This is in the top 5 of our favourite restaurants.
The location, food and service are always impeccable
We have dined at Doyle’s for 25 of our 27 wedding anniversaries and I hope there are many more to come
Catch up with friends
Upstairs was excellent and even the house white wine tasted great.
Fantastic food, fantastic location and fantastic service
The location is stunning. Eating the freshest seafood, right on the beach, but in so much style! Very special!
We love dining at Doyles - nowhere better to find fish and chips.
Had the John Dory which came with EITHER salad or salad for $50 I was surprised it didn’t come with both. Seafood platter expensive but very nice. Children ‘s meals good value at $18 as they came with a drink and ice cream. The tenderloins were overcooked and dry but the fish was nice and a good size.
Calamari was tough and presented in a very bland way....disappointing
As always, excellent service, food and views. Special place for a special birthday. Happier returned customer.
Always a great dining experience. Highly recommended.
We ordered the Paella and it was beautiful. The service was good and I could not fault anything. It was a lovely lunch.
Great overall experience! Food and service were excellent and the view was wonderful. Best seafood restaurant in Sydney in my opinion.
The food, staff and location was amazing. We moved to the garden bar after our meal and just relaxed for the afternoon into the evening. I can't wait to go back again for another special occasion
We had a great experience. Great service, great food, great view
Food was 'okay' for the price, but understand you're paying for the location. Seated upstairs - much much quieter than downstairs. 7 yo kids were very well occupied by the activity pack & engaging wait staff. Thanks
Fabulous food; great service - our waitress was efficient, friendly and happy; beautiful location. It was a fantastic place to celebrate a birthday!
Lovely restaurant right on the water with open views of the bay and city. Seafood pie was tasty. Staff courteous and approachable.
Amazing food and well looked after for out 30th Wedding anniversary
Wine is certainly pricey though!
Hoping the menu goes back to before Covid, miss some of our favourites
Seafood pasta was mediocre. Lobster was great. Great service from Leon. Nice quiet outside table.
Excellent food and service. A must try spot with beautiful views
Share a hot and cold seafood platter with my wife at $160 plus 10% Sunday surcharge. No lobster, no crab, two bugs, 4 oysters, 4 prawns, under cooked salmon, fish pieces and clams. Very poor value for money
The food was very bland, no taste poorly presented. Very disappointed & will not recommend to friends or go back their any time soon.
The location perfect. The food was nothing exceptional.
Excellent service, knowledgeable wait staff and great recommendations from the menu. Very responsive to additional requests for special occasion.
The location is amazing and the team is great but the food is very disappointing . For what we payed we were expecting much better.
Service was excellent, checked in very few minutes with plenty of options. Food was very disappointing, was $30 more expensive than their online menu for the restaurant , half the size it used to be, extremely disappointing.
I had a lunch at Doyles Watsons Bay on a Tuesday a couple of weeks ago.
Hats off to the Chefs.. The foot was just beautiful, generous, fresh and superb on a warm and sunny Sydney day.
However, our service ruined it.
We were served by an older blonde, Australian lady who was unduly abrupt, rude and intimidating.
Granted, we were having such a wonderful time and had a cocktail and two glasses of wine each, but we ordered 5 plates and it took us a whilst to get through it so we overstayed our booking time a little.
The service we received was within our allotted time and I think that instead of eye rolling between staff members and dumping an empty bucket loudly at the head of our table is unprofessional. A simple verbal prompt would suffice if we were causing an inconvenience.
Patrons don't need to be glared at and answered "YEHHHHH", when enquiring if im going to receive a new oyster fork for the next course. It was a simple question.
I have worked as a waiter in 3 separate hatted restaurants in Sydney and my husband and I drove all the way from Canberra to enjoy a Doyles experience. The saying that 'service can make or break a day for your patrons' is so true.
We are friendly, happy and very easy to please customers.. it should have been a fun experience to serve us, we tried talking but geez it was hard work..and we work in diplomacy.
Please Doyles, I don't mind that you didn't get back to me when I wrote to you via your website but I do mind unnecessary bad attitude regarding service..it brings the entire Doyles experience down and is not an appropriate accompaniment your wonderful chefs food.
I would love to bring clients to your restaurant, but definitely not under these circumstances.
Exquisite, exceptional, excellent!!! From booking through Open Table, emailing Lisa as regards ordering a birthday cake and then doing so telephonically, reminders from Doyle’s about our reservation to having our lunch , everything was amazing! . My wife and I have been to Doyle’s on the beach a few times but celebrating our twins 19th birthday was extra special . All our meals are scrumptious, attention to detail great, and the care and personal touch given by our wait staff was second to none. The tiramisu cake was so yummy! We’ll definitely be returning to Doyle’s , Watson Bay. Thank you.
It was my annual trip to Doyle’s for my birthday lunch. I am never disappointed.
Lot of pretentious people.... food is fair , paying for location
Don't believe in surcharge pricing.
Lovely relaxed late lunch. Wait staff could have been friendlier. Felt they wanted to be elsewhere!
Great food, amazing location, impeccable service.
Sand & wind a bit annoying but it’s all part of the experience
One of Sydney's finest harbourside restaurants. Amazing view, sumptuous seafood, top service and a beautiful heritage building (plus parking!). My wife and I had a special dinner there Friday night. I'm a tour guide (pre COVID) for international visitors. I've taken scores of these travellers to lunch at Doyles and they always love this special place. Thank you.
Venue great, Service good, Food not value for money. I believe the quality of food should be of a higher standard for the price you pay. We hadn't been to Doyels for a while and if I remember we thought the same last time.
Doyles is our go to place for the last 30 years. Can't help but keep going back.
