Overall a great dining experience and lots of fun doing the stonrgrill dining. We went Christmas Day and there was a little confusion over our reservation but the friendly and adaptable Staff were very accommodating.
Ordered a picture of Margaritas with no ice except in the glass which totally threw off our Server as she had never heard of such a thing. We thought it was pretty obvious that for two people we didn't want the whole picture sitting in ice while we enjoyed a leisurely meal. Well the Margarita was probably the worst we've ever had to the point that we contemplated sending it back. My wife even complained of no alcohol, but even worse it tasted like a cheap powdered mix that was bitter. We were concerned about some of the reviews, prior to this our first visit, but the Margaritas were generally 👌. After a few drinks they were tolerable.
The appetizer wings were overly salty and really nothing special. The Stone grill Lamb and the Shrimp and Scallops was fun to cook and very tasty. We did have to ask another Server how to best utilize the Stonegrill and by the time we were able to flag him down, my Lamb had overcooked on the 700° Stonegrill since I wanted Medium rare. The shell fish was fine because we wanted it well done. The veggies were cooked in the kitchen and were extremely tasty.
It was fun and the food was very good to excellent.
We were seated and waited on quickly. The food was great! Don’t skip the queso, yum! Our waiter was timely and friendly. Very nice experience!
Consistently good food and service. We will be back!
Very disappointed with the initial service. Had confirmation on 7:00 PM reservation, but host insisted that reservation was for 6:30, even after I showed him email confirmation. He then gave table away to someone else he claimed had a reservation for 7:00. Food was so so at best. Overall experience was so so at best. My wife and I would never go back there.
Service was pleasant but a bit slow. Likely short-handed. Big selection of Mexican food. Plenty of seafood options, too. Tried tortilla soup, and unfortunately it was like vegetable soup - with lots of peas and carrot bits, not spicy, no chicken. The burritos were good and filling. My wife had shrimp and crab, which was loaded with seafood. I went with fajita burrito with well-seasoned and tender steak and chicken, plus peppers and onions.
My wife loved the special pumpkin margarita.
Favorite go to restaurant! Friendly staff! Always great service! Food always very good!
What a disappointment! We first started going to DL many years ago when it was just getting off the ground. The food was great and the prices fair. Since then, it has changed locations several times while becoming progressively pricier. Now, they don’t even seem to care about the quality of the food. All four of us ordered different meals and they were each very poorly prepared. The rice was clumpy, the meat was dry and tasteless, and even the margaritas lacked flavor. Do yourself a favor; go somewhere else to eat.
Very disappointed with our experience. Definitely not like the previous times we went there for dinner. The food was terrible, the service was terrible, just overall bad. Definitely not going back.
Had a great meal and the service was incredibly fast, especially considering the longer wait times at many restaurants right now. The frisbee for a plate for our son’s kids meal was a nice touch, too.
Food was amazing!! We all loved our dinners. Margaritas were so-so, but the food made up for it. Will definitely be back.
Always consistently good
Our server was excellent and service very timely!
Used to be great, has gone down hill. Tables were absolutely dirty in between the folds. Food was sub par, drinks were watered down. No flavor to food, rice as a side was just enough to cover the plate.
Not the same. Miss the old owners. Our server had no personality and barely spoke English. Music was too loud and horrible. Not sure we will go back. Too many better options in Rehoboth.
Always a great meal! Excellent service! Food is consistent! Always a go to choice!
Terrible service. I understand there is a shortage of help but it took almost 30 minutes just to get water for the table. The food was not as good as it used to be-and we’ve been coming here for years. One person in our party got the wrong meal which was never rectified. Additionally they gave us dirty appetizer plates and it was the slowest service I’ve ever had in Rehoboth. The manager blew off our concerns. I usually love this place because of the great food, service, and reservations but after this experience when it wasn’t even packed, we will not be back!
Good food and drinks
Sadly not what it used to be, poor service (overworked waitress not her fault) had to send margaritas back they tasted like water . Fajitas were good ( now you just get two tortillas) but paid 21.00 for 3 tiny potato skins for an appetizer that arrived after the main course. Been coming for 10+ Years but will not go back.
Great service and delicious food!
Great meal. Guacamole needed more lime juice and salt but otherwise perfect.
This place used to be a gem but returning it seems to be under different management. The food and drinks used to be a favorite for us to enjoy on vacation but this time both were very disappointing. We won't be returning.
Nice family meal!
Worst meal in Rehoboth in 16 years. Don’t make excuses that you are short staffed. The place felt like it was 100 degrees. The food tasted terrible and the portions were smaller than ever. The service was horrendous. The owner waited on us and was awful. Plus he spilled steak sauce on my burrito plate. This was my favorite place at the Beach and I’ll never go back.
We always love this place. One of our favorites and very consistent.
My rice was really hard technically eating rice straight from the bottom of pan it was ridiculous
Food and service was fine. However they should enforce a dress code. Adults in bathing suits, no cover, should not be seated in a restaurant. Especially when it’s dinner time. Felt pretty low rent.
Requested quesadilla with corn tortillas nfor my son who is Gluten free. Refused to make it. Instead brought him corn tortillas and cold shredded cheese. Said they were too busy to accommodate the request.
Waited 15 minutes to order. Food came 55 minutes after we sat down and it was COLD. Worst dining experience in a very long time. We left hungry. Very sad. We support Dos Locos every visit to Rehoboth — once or twice a year. Very disappointed.
It was great. The food the staff. Never ceases to be a winner.
Margarita pitcher was kinda watered down and the food was good but we’ve had better Mexican for a lot less money… it was a bit pricey for 4 people for Mexican food
I made a reservation and was limited to 4:30 or 8 pm. I wasn’t surprised knowing how popular this restaurant is. However, when we arrived at 7:50 pm, the place was empty and a party of 2 walked in ahead of us with no reservation and were seated immediately. Had I known that, we would have come earlier. There was a waitress in training who was clearly on her own. She was lovely but definitely overwhelmed. Our drinks were the last things to come out and that was after reminding her that we ordered them. The “ lemonade” was Sprite but the waitress insisted it was lemonade.
We have been loyal patrons of this restaurant for years but after our experience on Thurs night, Dos Locos is off the list for a while. Overpriced and over hyped. It’s time to move on.
Delicious food and great service. Highly recommend
The food was very good and the service exceptional. Frozen golden margarita hit the spot.
This is our go to place in Rehoboth Beach. We especially enjoy the Seafood nachos. It included each a 1\2 of lobster, crab and shrimp . Service was great !
We had eaten here many times before but not in the past 1 1/2 years. We brought friends this time and the food was horrible. They ordered lobster enchiladas which appeared to have NO real lobster in them. Didn’t have the consistency or texture of real lobster. More like fake crab meat in slices. Not sure what it was so we told the waiter it didn’t seem to be real lobster and he only asked if she wanted something else. Never saying it was actually lobster. (He did remove $31 charge.) She asked for vegetarian chili which arrived cold.
We also ordered guacamole and waiter didn’t ask what size and brought the large, more expensive size, of course.
We’ve heard the restaurant has changed hands and whoever owns it now is doing a pretty bad job running a restaurant, and it’s reflected in the poor quality of the food.
We will not return.
Taco cheese had several shreds with mold on it. Server replaced plate and the new plate still had mold with an added side of hair. Server took of off my bill without asking, but be wary.
Excellent food! Outstanding service! A favorite of ours! Always a great time!
We were visiting the area. Dos Locos was recommended. The service & food were excellent. We had a wonderful time.
Food was delicious and service was superb.
