A bit too noisy for conversation. We had the tower would have been easier if separate bowls were supplied to share the dessert.
very good service and nice meals
Hi Jenny, Thank you for your review . Looking forward to seeing you in store again soon. Donato Team
Service and food was very good and great atmosphere and easy to book and ample parking. Highly recommended. More Vegan options would be great, however still very happy.
A brunch out to celebrate our baby moon during the 25k limit. Such a lovely experience.
Great to hear you enjoyed our venue and service. Look forward to seeing you guys in store again soon. Donato Team
The service was great as was the food and the coffee. The decor of the premises was really good. The menu was a bit light on with breakfast dishes dominating. I had the lasagna which was very tasty but a bit overpriced for the size of the portion. I was hungry before too long. Overall not a bad experience.
Hi Vince, Thank you for you review. We are glad you enjoyed the experience and our venue. Looking forward to seeing you again. Donato Team
I am so torn by Donato. I really want to like it because they have created a lovely outdoor space that is comfortable and especially on a day like today, perfect to sit in the sun.
It’s for this reason that I have been a number of times but I think today will be my last time. It was Mother’s Day and I expected it to be busy but it really wasn’t as full as I thought it would be.
We initially ordered two soy lattes in mugs which were delivered to our table not long after but unfortunately were small lattes in glasses. I then ordered a ham, cheese and tomato toastie while my friend ordered the chicken burger. My toastie came out barely toasted, flat and ham and cheese, no tomato. My friend’s burger was apparently good but there was so much mayonnaise in it that it flooded her plate and made the burger soggy. After the drinks and food, we were offered drinks once more and then were ignored for the remainder of our time there. The menu also stated that the burger came with fries but they were very oily wedges.
As I said we have visited a number of times from both the old building and new but there are simply too many nice places around the area to keep being disappointed. It’s such a shame.

This place is a real gem on the Peninsula .Their Friday night pasta night presented authentic quality Italian food in a lovely ,cozy ,ambient setting with very attentive and professional service. The calamari, lasagna and lamb Ragu were delicious and I'm looking forward to trying the other options. The BYO feature with alcohol added even more value to what was a great night out.The only minor negative would be they need to drop the lighting just a little[20%] to help that cozy ambience really go to the next level. The cafe lends itself to group bookings as well as couples with a range of seating options.Looking forward to our next visit already.A welcome addition to the Peninsula for serious foodies ;-)
Hi Patrick, Thank you for your detailed review. We are glad you enjoyed your experience upon your visit to our venue. A little gem situated on the Mornington Peninsula on the busy Craigie Road. Looking forward to having you return again Donato Team
A disappointing experience this time. Items on the menu not available resulted in very limited choice for lunch. Staff seemed quite disinterested and food was just ok, and cold. Noise level inside was unacceptable. Outside was spoilt by barking dogs, with owners and staff taking no action. I hope things improve as we would like to support local businesses. We appreciated the discount when we complained but we would prefer to have a great experience rather than a discount. I hope this feedback assists you.
Regards, Ken, Mount Martha
Hi Ken, Sorry to hear about your experience upon visitng our venue. We look forward to seeing you in store again soon. We will address the issue above with our management and staff. Thank You Donato Team
