Division West Bistro and Bar is founded as a community gathering place for West Hartford. In the 1670s the area was referred to as the "West Division" of Hartford. This remained the official name until 1806 when the Connecticut General Assembly started referring to it as the "Society of West Hartford". The town of West Hartford was officially incorporated in 1854.

The food was good other then the cauliflower, both the app and side where too hard. It was the noise level that we found unpleasant, the restaurant was not busy, but it was still challenging to have a conversation without yelling.

Not sure what has happened with Division West. It seems to have gone downhill. The food was okay but our server was not that great. When we ordered unsweetened iced tea we were told they didn’t have any. Then he came back later and said they did have tea. We barely saw the server after ordering except when he delivered food which was basically dropped on the table. Besides this there we noticeable cobwebs around the bar area and the women’s restroom needs some attention

With all of the choices in West Hartford Center every restaurant needs to operate at the top of their game

Theoharris was our waiter. He was knowledge, classy and gracious. The shaved Brussels sprout salad with salmon was delicious as was the side of balsamic dressing my lunch guest ordered. I ate it and was glad she shared it with me. I will return and dine inside next time although dining on the outdoor patio was perfect.

We loved our server but were just disappointed with the food. Very average... boring cheese plate, mac n cheese just ok, shrimp over cooked. Pasta was fresh and delicious tho. Probably won’t go back.

I had an AWFUL experience at Division West. Imagine the worst service you have ever had and then double it. Despite having a reservation, we were told that a table was not ready. After waiting for 15 minutes and asking how much longer we were told there had been a table the entire time. After sitting down we then waited 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. We had to flag a runner down to ask for a server to come over and take drink orders. The entire dinner lasted well over 2 hours and it was all due to the service. The icing on the cake was, after giving the bill back with a credit card, it took another 20 minutes to get the card processed. Again, we had to walk up and find a runner to ask for the credit card back. Overall an awful experience and I would never suggest going there.

In spite of the dining room being understaffed, our waitress and servers were incredibly attentive and everything came out much faster than we anticipated. Great food, great atmosphere, and wonderful staff. Will be back for sure!

We had to wait for a while before we were acknowledged and seated. We were told that the hostess had called out sick. We also had to wait to see a waitstaff. Having said that, the rest of the evening was awesome. The food and drinks were fabulous!

While all the food was excellent, the price/value was a bit little steep. There are other several restaurants in WeHa that offer better value and similar quality food. The restaurant is modern sleek looking inside. Our entire dining party found both the booths and especially the chairs very uncomfortable. We went for Father's day and found the restaurant to be eerily slow. Food came quickly from the kitchen, but our server disappeared once food was served. It was not busy by any means. I had to flag someone down to get a second drink and by the time it arrived (20mins?) the kids just wanted to leave.

The mussels were good, but nothing else had any seasoning. Fried Cauliflower bites had no salt in the batter, chicken skewers had no seasoning at all, the spinach flatbread was all spinach and almost no pesto. We ordered drinks, received them quickly then didn’t see our server for 25 more mins, we flagged someone else down who took our order, forgot it, and then had to come back and take out order again.

The only reason I say this is “eh” instead of bad is because A) the mussels were good and B) the drink prices at happy hour were UNBEATABLE. 2 of us ate and drank for under $30. I will likely give this place another chance but be super careful about what I order outside the mussels.

Food was good. Waitress kept messing up both our cocktail orders and food orders. But the owner came out and was very apologetic. Made adjustments to the bill and came out with a huge tray of desserts. He definitely made up for the poor service experience. I will be back

Been here a couple of times and we will continue to come as we love the food and the management. The pasta is homemade everyday by the owner’s mother and hands down its delicious. I can’t get enough of their butternut ravioli, my favorite. The menu is big and they have a variety of things you can order from but definitely try their pasta dishes, you can thank me later. Cocktails are creative and delicious. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

Was not very impressed with our entrees. Both our dishes were over cooked (halibut and steak). The Brussel sprout salad needed something like avocado to bring it more fat and make creamy. The clam chowder didn’t have much clam and was a little sour to taste. Server wasn’t great either, dry and not warm. Overall not a great experience. That was our second timer here, don’t think we will be going back. To end on a positive note, the cocktails were very good and well balanced.

Went here for mother's day. Food was exceptional, the staff and owner were present and extremely nice and helpful to our dietary needs. Menu was extensive enough that there was something for everyone but not too big as to be overwhelming. Love the fun drinks they have too! ;)

My husband took me to there for Mother's Day. The food was excellent and very good. Now, it's my favorite restaurant. Waitresses are very friendly. We enjoy it very much. We want to go back again.

Great meal today for Mother’s Day. Was a full house, but didn’t feel like it. Our server was very attentive and patient. We even got paid a visit with what looked like the manager, and he informed us that our food was coming out soon. It did take some time for the food, however, once it arrived it was hot and delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

Really disappointed. Have been here several times before with my family and have had much better experiences. Given those positive experiences, we chose this restaurant to celebrate our parents milestone anniversary + mom's bday + Mother's Day with my family. Had a reservation for 7:45, but had to wait roughly 35 mins for a table. Our group was 7, so it's kind of understandable to have a slight delay given our group size. The manager - Chris - made it right by having us sit at bar and have a drink on the house. I really thought this would get the evening back on track - but it didn't. Our waitress - Emily - was terrible. Not attentive to the table, dismissive at times (I asked about an item on the menu and was not given a warm response or recommendation). It took about 45 minutes to get our main course after placing an order. My dinner was ice cold (spinach, potatoes, strip steak) but at that point (it was almost 10 p.m.), I just wanted to get moving. Rest of my family noted their dishes were "just OK." I really wanted to get desserts to celebrate our parents, but the menu was essentially tossed at us...almost as if the waitress wanted us to leave. For an evening where we spent several hundred dollars - and were willing to spend much more with drinks and dessert - I REALLY wanted this to be a special and memorable night. Unfortunately, it will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. I will likely never return and would caution anyone looking to celebrate a milestone with a large group to think twice about this location.

When we got there had to wait for the hottest to appear to be seated at our seats. Food wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing. Drinks were creative but they gave me a chip glass I know it could happen and they apologized but still what if I didn’t noticed and I had a drank the chip. Server was very nice though no complaints about that. I would try to go there again. But what it looks like only people go there for the drinks not the food. By how it was packed the time we were there.

Went for Easter Brunch and It was fabulous as always. They don’t normally have brunch and we were so glad we got to experience it. The food is just so good! The owner is always there and making sure everyone is happy. The environment is relaxed and very modern and trendy. We enjoy it every time!

The happy hour menu was terrific. The price was on point too. The regular overall menu was very expensive. Burgers were very greasy.
We would go back for the happy hour but that’s probably it.
The waiter was over the top amazing!
