Ditka's - Oak Brook
Great food and friendly service. I would go back there again.
Slow service. Dinners came 1 minute after salads were served
One of the best restaurants we have been to our service was wonderful would definitely be going back.
The halibut special was delicious! Great combination of flavors and perfectly executed!
One of my favorite restaurants and as usual had great food. Was rather disappointed in our waiter today. After taking our drink order took around 20 minutes to take food order. At one point our server sat at the table next to us with what assume were his friends which would have been fine had we ordered already.
Not at all the kind of experience I have had at Ditkas before.
It's what you would expect from a steakhouse. 'The tomahawk was just what the doctor ordered for my hubby. The Colossal Shrimp Cocktail was so delicious. The Mike Salad was large and enough to share. The ribs were tangy and very tender. We were seated right away with wheelchair accessible accommodations. The food took just a little longer than usual, but I'm sure that was because of Father's Day. The well done filet mignon was dry, but they were happy to remake. A little annoying sitting by the kitchen.
Shannon was our server and she was amazing. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back again. By the way, this was our first time there.
Great brunch and dessert options and the service was above par.
Love the food but Wow it was noisy! Maybe fewer tables would help.
We had a group for Father's Day brunch. Everyone loved their food, and the service was good. I would recommend.
As usual, everything about our visit was wonderful...the food, the service, the ambiance, especially on a special occasion of Fathers Day. This is our favorite place to gather as a family for special occasions.
We went for Father's Day with our 8 and 6 year old sons and had a great meal. Service was attentive, and the food was fantastic. The crab bisque (soup of the day) was maybe the best soup I've ever had, and the pot roast nachos were out of this world, flavor explosion! I had the huevos rancheros for my meal which I've had at Ditkas 89 grill before, and remains my #1 breakfast dish of all time. My husband had Mike's pork chop which he said was fantastic but I couldn't even taste because I so beyond stuffed myself. And the kicker was that even our kids devoured their French toast and chicken tenders. Great meal all around!
Father’s Day brunch... it was very nice we loved our breakfast except the ciabatta bread was toasted and hard... our waitress was very nice and accommodating and went out of her way to please us.
Had a reservation and was seated quickly, however we waited for an hour for our meal. Steak was very over cooked and mashed potatoes dry. Roasted chicken was great. Waitress and manager were great and offered a new steak but had already waited too long. They took my dry steak off the bill. That was nice. You have to valet as there is no parking, wasn’t crazy about that either!
We had Javier as a waiter, he was terrific and so accommodating. He truly made us feel special as we celebrated our anniversary. Love coming to Ditkas!
I took my mom and dad for an early Father's Day. Raining, so the valet was a big plus. Very efficient and patient! Had reservations but was a few minutes late due to rain, not a problem when I called ahead. Very pleasant hostess desk,Waitress and service staff. Wonderful and professional.
I chose Ditka's because of the seafood for my father. He loved it. For the rest of us, we were not so happy. We ordered appetizers oysters & coconut shrimp.(glad I asked for sauces on side as both were spicy and usually served under shrimp) Each of these were wonderful. Would order again, sauce on side. Both my Mom and my son have limited diets, a large steak was not for her. Chose a pasta off the kids menu since there were no pasta dishes on regular menu. My son as well. The menu just said PASTA w/Marinara. The problem was the pasta was a thick TROCCOLI like pasta, which for a kids menu is an odd choice. No meat options were available w/it (meatballs /sausage) The sauce was also off as it had a slight spicy bite to it. My son did not eat his. My mother, never to say a bad word, worked through it but I knew it was not to her liking. My daughter &I ordered the ribs to split and a side of elote * i know it chas a bit of spice but usually the creme/mayo softens it. Not so much, there was so much hot spice, it ruined the flavor of the dish for me. In addition the side for the ribs was jalepeno coleslaw. We just asked for no coleslaw. Jalepeno seemed to play a big part in the menu. The ribs, you guessed it were also very spicy. Well cooked but too spicy for my daughter who doesn't mind a small amount of spice.
Dessert: Ice cream and Apple strudel. Loved it, it was served with a caramel sauce, whipped cream and a small dollop of vanilla ice cream. My father and I split one slice and it was perfect. Had raisins just like my gram used to make!
Very nice place, but if you are sensitive to a lot of spice, I would say not your option. If you like spicy, then you will enjoy yourself.
Great dinner to celebrate our son’s 8th graduation. Great service and great food.
We had a great time. Went to celebrate my husbands 40th bday. Luckily we came on a night with half price bottles of wine! The food was great. Our server was nice. The bus boy/runner was amazing too. We had special requests and they followed through with them all. It was perfect.
Great service, half price wine and great steaks
An exceptional experience from beginning to end!
We visited for lunch with another couple. Fun ambiance with lots of sports photos. My burger was excellent, fish tacos were outstanding . My friend's seafood salad was a little skimpy on shrimp but the ones she had were good sized. Our server was wonderful - efficient and attentive. Great spot for getting a taste of Iconic Chicago!
Our server was magnificent! She made great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about pairings. I wished I remembered her name, it was because of her that we received spectacular service.
We had brunch at the restaurant and the food was excellent. We wish they had more Gluten free items on their menu other than just lunch items: plus, we were disappointed when we were told although they offered a Gluten free bread for toast that they were sorry because they were out of it. Overall we really enjoyed the meal and the service was excellent. We definitely plan on returning.
Arrived at the restaurant on time for a 7:30 reservation. Waited approximately 10 minutes at the bar. Entire staff was friendly. We were seated and immediately a server was at our table. Food was excellent! Would definitely recommend the restaurant!
The food was hot & delicious! Our waiter Mike was personable, comical, attentive - he made our dining experience fun! We will definitely be back & request Mike.
The service, and food were great. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very personable. Enjoyed our experience.
The staff at Ditka's in Oakbrook are awesome. They will treat you like family.
Great service, excellent food. I like that the bar area and one of the dining areas are separated to keep out the noise coming from the louder people at the bar. We dined for my dad’s bday and everything was top notch! I would definitely go back.
We ate at Ditka’s a handful of times and the food and service was excellent as always .
We came here to celebrate my sons Graduation from college .
It’s his favorite restaurant.
I give this Restaurant a five star all the way through.
Thank you for a nice dinner .
Pork chop was a little to well. I like it a med rare. We waited a long time for our desert.
Served the wrong steak to the guest of honor and then charged my credit card twice for the entire meal. Will not be returning.
We went especially for the ribs. They were excellent! Meaty, tender, seasoned perfectly. We didn’t know they were having a special Sunday supper offer. What a great value! I had the filet and crab cake-they were both fantastic. We started with calamari which was tender, but the crust was a little lacking. Our only complaint is that the service was too quick!
Server was not attentive. Food just ok. Gibson’s has way better service and food for same prices, and better variety of menu choices.
Great service, excellent food
The main dining room is so noisy, you have to yell across the table to be heard.
This is a great restaurant.
The noise level is very high, making it hard to hear people in front of you.
But you can hear people 2 tables away ----- odd acoustics there.
But overall--a great treat.
