Tried a few dim sum dishes with a friend who's visiting from the States. The food quality was excellent. Cost around HK$200 per person (lunch).
Booked for 5PM and got there 5 min early. I’m not sure if the staff understood English very well as they didn’t bother to check for our reservation on the system. And sure enough, later I received an email that I missed our reservation.
Otherwise the food was very good. A bit pricy compared to the local places you could go to get dim sum but is located in a mall and location is very convenient.
They changed the menu at around 17:30, so we were able to try from two different menus... Though I’m not sure if one is the lunch/tea time menu and the later one for dinner.
Chinese cuisine fused with international flavours. Nouve dim sum flavours at it's best. Price point a little higher than normal expect to pay 200 to 300 HKD per pax. Good service, menu in English and servers all speak English as well. modern Chinese decor. excellent choice for dimsum w a twist
We had a pleasant experience having lunch there with really tasty and innovative dim sum . Our seats were comfortable enough. However, I can see their staffs were not as well trained and sophisticated as other top rated / high priced dim sum restaurants in Hong Kong. They seemed to have difficulty dealing with English speaking clients. For a contemporary elegant diner like Dim Sum Library, we believe their services were not up to the standard. We would recommended this place if their staff shown better attitudes and enthusiastic towards their clients and the entire business.
There s always a dish that trails behind/is late!
Been here 5-6x
It would be much better if there are more choices on the dessert menu. There does not seem to have the kind of sweet soup and fruit platter available.
Affordable fancy dim sum. All dishes were nice and delicate and it is perfect for sharing.
There is a chef recommendation menu on the first page of the main menu of Dim Sum Library. This will help us experience the signature fusion dim sum dishes exclusively available to this restaurant. The food arrived at our table piping hot, fresh, tasty and presentable which will definitely help with our appetite. There is also a bar at this restaurant so there is a good selection of drinks, cocktails and even the more traditional Chinese tea of our choices. Make a reservation is so convenient with Opentable we can make a booking even outside the business hours of this restaurant. The staffs here are also friendly, helpful and presentable who will help us make the best food choices for me and the needs of my friends making the whole experience in Dim Sum Library a joy. I definitely will be revisiting with friends and relatives in the near future. Highly recommended for people who like to eat dim sum.
2nd time I’ve been... 1st time I left as the service was so terrible before Food had even been ordered. 2nd time, a little bit better as managed to order and get food. Attitude of this place is all wrong. Don’t waste your money.
Some of the tim sum were not hot when served, especially our last orders aroi d 2:30pm. This contributed to the low food ratings.
Deliciouse wide variety of dim sum at a reasonable price. Good selection of teas.
We were offered a table booking for 10.15pm. When we arrived - 5 minutes early - we were told they were no longer serving customers. They shouldn't offer bookings at times they are not prepared to honour.
Good food n service. Will surely recommend to friends
Always excellent every time I come. Try almost all and they are above standard grade. Never disappoints.
Our dim sum experience was superb. We found the restaurant easily and loved the ambience and welcome that awaited us. The staff were friendly and helpful. Each dish selected was better that we imagined. The dumplings were flavoursome, different, hot and delicious. All 3 of us had a favourite but enjoyed them all. Desert was also a delight.
We have already recommended you to our friends and plan to come again very soon.
Thank you for making dinner a wonderful experience for my friends from Australia.
The food was great and well worth the visit. Even the price was not as bad as expected. However, the service was very poor. We received our food in good time but the attitude of the waitresses and the waiters was substandard, several of them were completely disinterested, irritating and unable to answer any questions. They were not alert and proactive and they were only interested in getting us out of the restaurant.
A very nice place to enjoy good food. Very different and good selection.
Excellent restaurant with high end dim sum culinaries, great service and ambience.
Just not as good as the first 9months opening, the food is a bit salty. Excellent services as always.
Dim Sum Library is a nicely appointed small restaurant in the Pacific mall in Hong Kong, with a nice variety of Dim Sum and professional service.
Always slightly suspicious of a restaurant in a mall but this was great. Modern Chinese done very well. Will look forward to going back.
as a Dim Sum lover, a must to dine at this restaurant. As a Hong Kong resident, we are very thrilled to know and enjoy food at Dim Sum Library. We will come again and again.
Some waiters are not conversant in English
It is as our second visit. It was very fidappointing
Exquisite dim sum with fragrance tea under yellowish ambiance, a nice place for dim sum rather than traditional chinese restaurant.
I have wanted to try this place for a while.
Not many choices are the menu, but enough for two people, but like all dim sums places the portions are weird for 2 people as most items come in servings of 3 (e.g. 3 siumai)
We had stopped at Starbucks before arriving at the restaurant, to be told we were not able to have our coffee during lunch but they would keep it warm for us. Which I was surprised that they were able to provide this service. We gave them our coffees.
After the meal, I asked for my coffee back only to find out that their staff had thrown it away. So I asked them to just give me one of their lattes (for which they did not have skim milk, fine I won't be picky) and americano. They brought the new coffees in our old starbucks paper cups (which we had thought they had thrown away... did they just fish these back out from the trash?
Needless to say, if I do go back... which I may not... mental note to get coffee after the meal.
Excellent food, brusque service. At one point one of the servers tried to take a partially eaten plate away as I was eating from it!
Not ordinary dim sums, delicious and tasty. Good service.
A favourite of ours! We like to have regular visits!
This is primarily a dim sum restaurant. Since it is a guessing game to pick the correct dishes and since you are not likely to pick more than a few since they are not priced to do so, then you must ask questions before ordering. The menu is vague about what a dish is made with. The food was good, but would have been better had the menu been more descriptive. Also, it the portions were more like true dim sum, and the prices matched, you would order more dishes and not be too disappointed if one is not so good.
Excellent food and service. Some of the best dim sum I’ve had in HK. But be sure to book - it’s very popular.
Interesting dim sum which is different from the traditional type. Quite expensive.
Open Table has made a mistake with my booking as our booking wasn't on dim sum library's booking list, fortunately they have a table for us.
The cuisine is innovative and is perfect to take visitors to Hong Kong for a typical dim sum meal. Attentive service coupled with the ambience and cosy interiors makes for a great dining experience
Aqua group restaurants have always been one of the favorite fine dining Hong Kong localions
If they do a set menu or dim sum buffet it would really be perfect
Premium dim sum with a modern twist. Conveniently located in Pacific Place just off Admiralty Station. Some items are delicious, others are kind of meh. Hard to tell what's good from the text-based menu, so do your homework before placing an order. Great for showy dates, though I wouldn't call it romantic. Expect to spend HK$300 per person.
My recommendations: Wagyu beef puff, sea urchin spring rolls, grouper fillet dumplings
Waitress looking around but not looking to customer
Long wait for the courses
Very very very bad service
Have been here several times, service was quite poor. Staff were more interested in looking at the floor, rather than being attentive to the diners.
Just a bit too dark inside .. might be not suitable for elderly people
Very good food but certain dishes expensive.
Sadly last few visits the service has got progressively worse
It was a bit disappointing this time. Order was wrong, delivery was slow and even missed, waitress had no reaction or respond to our question, even dessert (which was only an ice cream) needed to be chased 4 times. At last, waited for a long long time to get the bill.
Good selection of dim sum, noodles, rice bowls. Service was attentive. Suitable for a business lunch.
