Dim Sum Library
These tasty new creations include "Black Truffle Har Gau", "Dan Dan Xiaolong Bao", "Black Pepper Wagyu Beef in Millefeuille pastry", "Cheung Fan with Squid Mousse and Crispy Tofu"and" Hokkaido King Crab and Sea Urchin Spring Roll" are among the delectable dim sum dishes on offer.
Unlike traditional dim sum restaurant, Dim Sum Library is fronted by a stunning Chinoiserie cocktail bar, guests can enjoy a full selection of classic cocktails, wines and spirits as well as bespoke Chinese tea cocktails. For those who enjoy a game of Mahjong in the afternoon, the tables at Dim Sum Library’s Mahjong Parlour, discretely concealed at the rear of the restaurant, are a perfect place to play.
The service was really fast and rude. They make us paid in the middle of our dinner. The food is good, the service not at all.
Dim sum Library was excellent. We went in our first night as close to our hotel.
Superb food all very tasty.
Service was also attentive.
One small criticism was as we were the last people in the restaurant we felt a little rushed as the staff were seemingly keen to finish their shift. I did not detract from our evening. Super food and worth a visit.
Delicious food as always. We especially loved the hargau with truffle. Service was attentive without being in your face. Definitely one of my favourite places for lunch
Fantastic food and service great ambiance just be aware that you will moved from your table after your allotted lunch time otherwise all good
Your nouvelle cuisine dim sum did not impress me. I rather stick to the traditional dim sum and the more authentic ambiance. Sorry, I'm an old-fashioned old man.
Service was poor, we had to set up our table ourselves and remove the extra chairs we had made a booking for six and the table was set up for eight
After finding an article citing the reataurant as having an exceptionally interesting twist on Hong Kong cuisine and judging from the photos and description of the place I traveled across town from Kowloon to have dinner. The article failed to mentionthat it was located in a shopping mall anf the photos made it seem as if it had windows overlooking a vista. I ordered the puff beef pastry appetizer, whish was good and the fois grois on eggs which was sadly disappointing. Still hungry I followed up with the crispy chicken, average.
No need to put dress code if it is not strictly enforced.
we booked at a table for 11:45am, but our guest arrived late. we were told repeatedly by your waiter and manager that we can only keep the table until 1:15pm. Closing to 1pm, your manager obviously made a point by clearing all our dishes and cutlery from our table and push us to settle the bill immediately. We were embarrassed by the situation. Obviously your people only try to make the most of money from the table but missed value of service and customer relationship. I was told by other people they had bad experience with your restaurant, now I know what they meant.
Head waiter was VERY helpful in ordering food. Service was exceptional. Food is always very good. My guests were very impressed.
Always a great place for lunch. Good and consistent quality food.
delicious and fancy restaurant :) awesome!! I would like to visit again
A modern western take of dim sum place. Some creative dim sum dishes like "dan dan xiao long bao" was quite good. It's bit pricey but great to have your overseas guests who may not feel so comfortable with real local dim sum places.
Very tasty food. Restaurant is a little dark but always busy and worth a try.
The food is great & the service is very good too.
I only ever have problems with my glass of champagne always being flat....Please ask that the champagne be sealed properly or not kept open for too long.
Blending Cantonese, Japanese its name ,Dim Sum Library, reflects its effort and passion👍
I loved the interior of the restaurant very beautiful, the menu is very interesting and you can try many things, food was awesome and presentation of dishes was also great but service was extremely poor. The only nice smiling person was the lady who poured tea for me the rest of the staff wearing suits so i was expecting they were managers and would at least introduce the dishes they could barely speak and almost” throw” dishes on our table, they delivered the food all at same time (5/6 dishes) and first of all the table wouldn’t fit all of them so i ended up organizing the space as the waiter wasn’t able to... secondly but most important all hot dishes got cold in couple of minutes so we ended up eating everything cold... was a bit disappointing and i really wish i could have enjoyed the food as it is supposed to be served but we ended up exactly like eating cold soups...
Not sure if i will go back considering the wide choice of great restaurants in hong kong..
My wife is vegetarian. The vegetarian menu, most of the items contained chicken powder and thus, in reality, it should not be on the Vegetarian menu.
Bit on the pricey side but great food quality. Would recommend to everyone.
This restaurant is allergy-friendly, with its waiting staff knowledgeable about the ingredients used in their food. That is a priceless quality to have to stand out in Hong Kong’s F&B scene
This was open. There were chairs and tables. See you
Everything was great! Highly recommend
We tried most dim sum in the menu, it was delicious! The staffs were very nice and friendly, a must try in hong kong for sure!
expensive and lunch menus arent good compared to dinner
It has some unique takes on traditional dim sum but maybe a little overpriced.
It's the fourth time that I had lunch at Dim Sum Library. But this time we were informed to return the table at 1:30. But before the time, the waitress kept pushing us and collected the plates without asking us, and made us settle the bill before we finish. It's not 1：30 yet! The waitress is kind a rude and made us very uncomfortable.
I don't think we will come back to this restaurant again.
We always enjoy the food at the Dim Sum Library. A twist on local cuisine which works.
The quality of the food is good, but the service is extremely bad. When we request the toothpick, the waitress threw the box to us rudely, I was so surprise with her attitude.
Service was not good. Always looking for me. So I'm very uncomfortable until eating food. I felt they want we leave there. And to much pushing order drink. But ambiance is really good. Also test is good.
Stylish place with pleasant atmosphere and great food. Only criticism I have is in regards to the service - very efficient and professional, but lacking some warmth - just a smile, to make the difference, and for the whole experience to be even better.
My family was on vacation and fortunate to find this restaurant. Delicious food!
The food was amazing but the staff need a lot of training. The staff were not attentive, and the services we received were below average. They ordered wrong stuff, which we put up with it. The bowl was leaking when we have the soup, the staff cleaned it up and took the bowl away, didn’t give us a replacement. Then the staff tried to take our plates away and clear the table while we are still waiting for more food to come. I think the concept of the restaurant is upmarket chinese food, but the staff runs it as fast in and out Dim Sun place.
Good modern dim sum but the place is too dark and prices are quite expensive.
Worth trying out once.
The quality of food is good and it is too expensive. 干炒牛河 Fried noodle with beef costs HKD280, which is an reasonably high price.
Good service and setting with a nice range of dim sum. They make an effort to have both the classic dishes along with a few modern interpretations. A little on the pricey side, and they don’t seem to be consistent in portion sizing. Some dishes come with 2 pieces, others with 3 and then others with 4. In an ideal world they would be flexible on number of pieces depending on the number of guests.
Once is enough kind of dimsum place. But it was nice to try.
We have ordered about hkd 945 and 45 mins into our meal with many empty tables , there is a big tall more chubby captain came and tell us that we have to return table in 15 mins as it is companies policy , I told him that I have not even ordered main dishes of rice and noodles and dessert , that they should fill up the other tables with 5 people first and then if we hang around without eating , then they have the right to kick us out but since the inside and the area we are eating have at least 2 other 5 people tables , while we are eating , and want to order more , they can fill up the other tables first and let us order more and finish with our meal, he said it is company’s policy, he can’t do anything , I got so upset I cancelled my dinner booking for 5 immediately . This is not the first time this big chubby captain did that !! I am not eating at your restaurant anymore as there is Mott 32, china tang , china club, Hong Kong club , lei garden , john Anthony’s , Kokomi , thai Basil , not to mention my marriot and grand Hyatt and Conrad memberships !! many choices !! So we paid bill and went to Lumi for dessert & coffee ,,
Food is not hot enough. The overall experience is getting worse.
Don't go during lunch time. It's loud, very busy and the staff rush you to order, eat and quickly leave. They came over several times to ask are we done and remind that we need to give back the table. They should ask instead, how everything is and if we need anything else? I had to remind them to help refill my tea pot and to pls bring us the dessert menu. In the end, decided to leave and have dessert somewhere else.
Dim Sum are awesome and worth the price although it's rather expensive among other Cantonese restaurants in absolute terms. But the environment can be a little noisy.
