The Waiters are trying to Push Sparkling /Mineral Water I ordered Single Scotch Pinot Noir But was charged for Double I don’t know if I would want to go back again unless I get Compensated and that is not only Refund Of 1 Single Scotch When we frequent Restaurants we go there regularly When we like the Food Which we Did Here Great Vegetarian Choice

We ordered every dish (6 dishes) from the herbivore menu plus side chips for 5 people and it was very satisfactory. We shared the meals and got so much enjoyment from trying all of the different flavours. Top tier presentation too! It was really added to the experience when the waiters/waitresses took extra time to explain the dishes too.

I expected fine dining service- the service was very average. They brought our food out, that’s about it. Had to pour own wine, menu wasn’t explained to us. The service didn’t match the price tag of the food

Also- buy a wine fridge. Red wine needs to be served at 16deg, not 27deg

Food was really good though. Really enjoyed the food.

The food was both delicious and creative. The servings sizes were just right and the range of dishes was very good, in that the menu had something for everyone (including plenty of gluten free options) but wasn't large (I hate really extensive menus). The wine list was interesting and well priced. The service was quick and reasonably attentive. The restaurant looks good, and while the room and furniture are all hard surfaces, and it was just about full of diners, it wasn't too noisy or difficult to hear the conversation (though we were just a table of 4 guests). We all felt it was really good value for money at $115 per person for lunch, which included 2 bottles of wine, trying most of the menu, and leaving with appetites more than satisfied.

As this was my third time at Detour I knew the food would be amazing.

Our waiter changed throughout the meal and I found both not very knowledgeable on wine and spirits.

I would love to see a change of vegan menu but only for a bit of variety.

All and all a wonderful experience.

The food is good, but dishes arrive whenever they are ready so there is no flow to the meal and it is difficult if different dishes are preferred by different members of the party. We booked an inside table but were seated at a picnic style table with bench seats outside on the footpath - no atmosphere at all and quite uncomfortable for dinner. At this price point, we should have been informed if the restaurant could not accomodate the booking inside. Beware of the "funky" wine list. We ordered a rose but were not informed that it was a "natural" wine until after it was opened and poured. It was more like kombucha than rose and very disappointing. This really should be something people are told when ordering as it is far from what was expected. We should also have been informed that dishes arrives whenever they are ready, so if dietary requirements/preferences effect ordering, some people might be eating while others are waiting.

Food was decent, but service was terrible. Hostess was seating people out of order with no idea who had or had not yet checked in with him. Placed in a back corner table after having waiting extra time after our reservation. And wine glass pours were small to say the least. Overall, good food but very poor experience

We were celebrating my birthday. Our party of 6 were shown to an outside table that resembled a park picnic table with immovable hard benches. When we asked if we could be seated inside in the air conditioning (it was a very humid night in Brisbane) with comfortable chairs we were given a resounding no and advised that table allocation was based on time of booking (we booked a week out) and the fact we may be seated outside was clearly articulated on the booking site. I checked and it says in small print that you may be seated in the restaurant, at the bar or on the terrace. I would not describe the dirty footpath as a terrace and I would not expect a restaurant of this quality and price point to seat guests right next to parked cars, in a noisey public area with the smells of car fumes and other restaurants. We tried to make the best of things - most of the share plates were generally of good quality, if not a little on the small side. The service from our waitress was ok. If you are going to seat guests outside in those sort of uncomfortable conditions and charge high end prices then there is a need to be transparent up front so the guest can choose whether they want to proceed with the booking or not!

The food was divine - in particular the Herbivore menu. Full of surprises and loaded with flavour. Meals came out at the right time, and the wine recommendations were spot on. I would love to come back and explore some more of the menu!

Had quite a disappointing experience. Was looking forward to coming here and was disappointed to be seated outside and then be served by staff that were not interested in resolving this situation. Definitely did not feel like a fine dining experience. The food was good but I probably just won’t come back and will warn people against it due to my bad experience at such a high price

Excellent food and service. Unfortunately we were asked to leave our table after 1:15h without any prior warning as the table was rebooked for 1:30h after our booking. We were unable to have a desert. Spoke to manager but no resolution was offered.

Detour didn't disappoint! We had traveled down from the Sunshine Coast for the weekend, as Detour had been on our radar for a while. Amazing menu selection, especially for a plant based eater. The flavors were next level, the presentation, service and generous portion sizes were definitely a hit. We left full and extremely happy. Please open on the Sunshine Coast!! Will definitely be back. Thanks guys!
