Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - Uptown
Blistered Shishito Peppers
Strawberry or Butterscotch Sauce, Pecan Crust
I booked reservations here for my husbands birthday because this is his favorite steakhouse. As always we were not disappointed! I absolutely appreciate how the staff went above and beyond giving him a card, champagne and surprising him with his favorite dessert, lemon cake! John was our exceptional waiter, making sure our drinks were never empty and our food came out at the perfect times. We can’t wait to go back and will definitely be asking for John by name. Thank you Del Frisco’s for making his 50th birthday so special!
Great place to celebrate a birthday or just life in general food was great service was a little slow but it was still good. I’m sure it’s due to COVID small staffing
Perfect for our girls night!
Outstanding service, amazing food as always and great wine. Always the best at Del Friscos!
The absolute best food and service possible. Always impressed and a must stop when passing through the area.
Wedding anniversary. Food was poor for del friscos, the server was absent, and likely will go to trulucks going forward down the street. Thanks, Otto lowe party of 4 for 7/26 at 7pm
It was your typical Del Frisco's experience; good food, good atmosphere, great service. They were running a little behind on reservations. We weren't seated until 9:15 for an 8:30 reservation but that was to be expected.
If there were one thing I would like to have seen it would be a section of the bar clearly dedicated to walk up drink orders. The wait for a table coupled with the social distancing made it a bit awkward approaching the bar to order a drink.
Valet or self parking took 30 minutes. I remember when men wore jackets with pocket squares and people like Tony Romo was there. Now its anything goes e.g. Air Jordans, flip flops, white tee shirts with yellow arm pit sweat stains. Steak was overcooked. Almost turned around and walked out but after a 30 minute wait we were starving. Will not be going back. Capital Grill still keeps its classy. Our server was the best part but I still could not hear his name due to his poor mask. IMO- this place should have a jacket required policy for the price you pay. Terrible loss for Dallas.
And so you are paying for a nice steak dinner in theory but you get the ambience of a Chillis. A Chillis that really digs Mumford and sons, and other obnoxious and annoyingly loud Spotify “chill rock” music that you and your date will talk over the entire night and consistently ask each other to repeat themselves bc the party next to you rolling in to the spot wearing t shirts and flip flops is also shouting over the music, while also being exponentially louder. Here’s the deal. I showed up with my wife I married yesterday hoping for an at least semi romantic meal, instead we got the aforementioned obnoxious ambiance that’s more similar to a Buffalo Wild Wings, an under cooked steak that was then seared so hard the crust burnt, and a very disappointed new bride. Stay far away from this location if you want a nice dinner. But If you want to blow a couple hundred dollars on Texas road house with a more annoying soundtrack to talk over consistently than be my guest. There will be a wait though, even with the reservation.
Food and service was amazing. I would definitely go back. The bone in ribeye steak was seasoned to perfection.
The dinner was both a birthday and an engagement dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, my girlfriend (now fiance) and I were showered with a warm greeting. The manager, Adam, anticipated our needs in every facet of service. Our server, Matthew, took care of us in a timely and warm matter, and also kindly brought us a dessert on the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. No question, we will be back.
Too loud. Service a bit slow. Not worth the money, just as good as other steak houses. Excellent cocktails, though.
I order 12 oz filet. Kansas City. Char outside
Medium rare inside. Nathan warned there would be a delay.
Steak came. Cold inside, dead red. Then she is eating her steak. Mine comes...flavor diminished, still not tedium rare.
Third time, over cooked and miserable.
I’m very displeased with kitchen.
I eat at Del frisco s. Ft worth frisco and downtown.
Not a good night to off your game
Very, very poor food quality for the price. Steak was not cooked to order and unfortunately had to send back once and could've sent back twice if we were aiming for perfection, which for the price of the steak, we probably should have.
It was my friends birthday and the Porterhouse Steak was cooked to perfection!
Food and service were both excellent. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Calamari was fried crispy.
lipstick stain on my drink and waitress didn’t even bother to take it away even during this time of covid
We celebrated my sister birthday here and really enjoyed ourself
The food, the waiter and our waiter was great! We will be back in the future.
Fantastic. Bacon Appetizer, Caprese type salad. Our Filets were PERFECT! Service was great. No big crowd or noise level. We WILL be ging back!
Food and service were great but the wine list is the most overpriced list I’ve seen in the Dallas area. Their wines by the bottle were priced at least $30 per bottle higher than most restaurants in the area.
My wife and I went out for dinner and were a bit apprehensive at first. It was comforting that everyone had to wear masks; including the patrons while walking about. The food was amazing as usual. And the drinks were made fantastically.
We celebrated 3 birthdays, overall the food and service was good. The Caesar salad was below average, however the tomato and mozzarella was amazing as well as the 16 oz. Prime ribeye. And the selection of desserts is disappointing, only 2. However, we had a great time and I would recommend to my friends and family.
The sea bass and salmon were delicious. Our waiter was excellent. He was very attentive and warm. We loved it.
Great spot for a business lunch downtown. Staff was taking every precaution possible to provide a safe dining environment.
I planned a surprise birthday for my boyfriend and turned out to be my proposal and they accommodated everything! It was amazing
After anticipating our night out for weeks this was a total BUST! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There were so many crying children, baseball caps, cut off shorts, tank tops not to mention cold sides and and overcooked steak that had to be sent back. Adam, The sommelier, started off great as we ordered a bottle of Pride. He never showed up again as we ordered a second bottle through the bus boy. Our check for four people was well over $700. Such poor service and overcooked steak one would have thought we would’ve been given at least a free piece of pie or a “we are so sorry“. There are so many great restaurants in Dallas I can assure you we will never be back to Del Frisco‘s double Eagle. I have called and shared my experience with Josh, the manager who could frankly care less. Why would he, he’s just a manager. Never again!
The steaks at Del Frisco's are unparalleled. Strong recommend.
Would most definitely recommend! Loved the mashed potatoes!
Awesome experience ! Tyler did a great job !
Everything was perfect! Thanks for making our anniversary a special one.
Inconsistent with staff wearing masks. Poor service, especially for cost.
Chalk one up to Covid-19 and demonstrations in Uptown, but what we had hoped would be a very quiet anniversary dinner together turned out to be a very mediocre experience. We had eaten at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse once before when it was located on Spring Valley near the Tollway. That experience was a family celebration and was incredible! The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Everything was better than expected.
Last Saturday's experience, however, was a disappointment. The atmosphere in the restaurant is upscale and lovely, but the ambience was more that of a local pub. The choice of music was totally inappropriate for a restaurant of this caliber, and so loud that my wife and I had difficulty carrying on a normal conversation during our meal.
The food receives mixed reviews. My salad looked and tasted as if its ingredients had been left over from earlier in the week. The lettuce was limp and brown around the edges. The croutons were hard as rock and very difficult to bite into, much less to chew, and tasted stale. The bacon was very tasty, but also as tough as shoe leather and difficult to cut, bite, or chew. The creole vinaigrette was delicious, and the tastiest part of the entire salad.
On a more positive note, our entrees were more in line with our expectations. My Chilean Sea bass was very tasty and well prepared and presented. My wife's Ribeye was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender and tasty. Her lobster mac and cheese also was delicious.
Finally, our servers were excellent and did a tremendous job of serving us during our meal.
Nothing about our first experience at this location made us want to recommend it or to return. We hope that these very fixable issues can and will be addressed right away for the sake of the restaurant and its guests.
Always great food and service
We always have a great experience when coming here!
Great way to spend our 38th Anniversary!
We arrived and were seated ahead of time for our reservation and greatly appreciated the care and smiles of the reception staff! Our server Jonathan and detail server, Jose, gave us constant attention to insure our enjoyment. We have visited Del Frisco’s from New York City to Plano, and this location is certainly on par with any of those! We will return soon!!
Amazing dinner! Everything was perfect. Crab cakes, wagyu beef, steaks and wine, all of it was great.
Food was great. Good to have Del Frisco’s back open.
This is my favorite restaurant. I come here at least 2-3 times a month. Have not had ONE bad experience.
