The food, wine, and service were excellent. Kudos to the Felix and the staff for coming back strong (we dined only the 2nd night) after COVID-19 shut down.

Felix the manager and George the waiter were phenomenal and insured we had an amazing night. Food was flavorful and the lobster mac & cheese is a must. The ribeyes were good but skip the salads as they fell short. All in all would recommend for a night out.

We went for my daughter's graduation dinner. It was our first dinner out since before the Covid-19 situation. It was perfect! The food was delicious. Even with the limited menu, the options were great. They even have my daughter a surprise dessert!

Food was pretty bad. Porterhouse ($113.75) was more like an Outback T-Bone. Mashed potatoes were cold and really not good at all. We were looking for a great night out, and unfortunately our expectations were not met. Our server was pleasant but very unknowledgeable. Didn’t know if they had anchovies or bear side sauce. Unfortunately I don’t think we will return any time soon.

My friend and I had an amazing experience. Out waiter was extremely accommodating. I had asked for a specific drink that required cucumber. While they did not have cucumber they went through the trouble of going to a local supermarket to try and get some! Even though they could not get it I was super impressed! So above and beyond! The food was top notch and everyone was so accommodating. Despite things being tough with Covid Restrictions I did not feel like anything was short changed. I had never been there before but I will 1000% be back. Awesome!

The food took awhile to come out. When the food got to my table, the plate was very hot but the mashed potatoes and steak were not. It made no sense but I guess the plate was just sitting in the kitchen for awhile. I asked for a medium but I got something closer to medium rare or rare. Since the food took so long to come out already, I didn’t ask to cook the steak longer and have to wait longer. I just ended up not eating the center of the steak.

I felt sick afterwards and this was the first meal I had earlier today. I’m positive it had something to do with the temperate of the food that was served to me.

The lobster bisque may be the best in the city. Had the medallion duo, although what’s interesting is both piece of meat were cooked totally different; one was rare and the other was well done when I ordered it medium rare. But service was great and everything else was fantastic!

The experience was ok. Not as amazing as people previously describe it to me. I did like the fact the servers had you check the meat to see if the temperatures correct. Even though mines wasn’t, I wasn’t comfortable sending my food back

My rib eye was tough. My wife who requested gluten free rib eye, chocolate mousse and salad got a gluten reaction. I was very disappointed with the restaurant week meal and will not return.

Went in fo restaurant week. The salad was weird and not chopped? Just tall stalks of lettuce on my plate. Tasted okay. Hard to eat. The booth is super huge for two people. The bread was okay. I liked the butter more than the bread. Steak was good but couldn’t finish it all. Hated the dessert. It was nothing special. I give it 4 stars.

My steak was dry, food was mediocre. I thought this place was going to be good because it’s a steakhouse and I ordered steak. I had better. The drinks were good, but the food presentation was not up to par with other steakhouses i’ve been too. Service was okay, but it did not seem like a high end restaurant to me. Dessert was okay. Only thing great was the lobster bisque abs drinks. I had reservations and still had to wait over 30 minutes for my group to be seated. It was just not worth the experience at all.

Bad service on a busy night.
During dinner, our server rushed through our questions about the menu, made a mistake on the starter for one of the guests in my party, and cleared my plate from the table while I was still eating (food on the plate, fork and knife in my hands). In isolation, each of these service issues is forgivable. But in totality, along with our servers unfriendly demeanor, the service soured our dining experience. Fortunately, the food was phenomenal! I would return for dinner on a less busy evening and with a smaller group of people.

I have eaten at Del Frisco’s multiple times at both this location and the Seaport location for both Restaurant Week and regular dining. I went for Restaurant Week on Friday and was extremely disappointed with the food. They gave the pre fixe meal a different, lower quality filet than the normal menu. The filet was stringy and tough. It was easily the worst filet I have ever had. This was not the case last year during Restaurant Week and had never been the case when I have gone or taken clients on normal dining weeks. I thought I was getting a deal with the pre fixe menu but definitely was not the quality the Del Frisco’s Double Eagle reputation is known for. Had I known it was a different, lower quality meat I would have simply ordered from the regular menu. Why advertise a Restaurant Week deal if it’s not truly a representation of the restaurant? Seems pretty tacky. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning to the Back Bay or Seaport locations. If you’re considering this restaurant, I recommend The Capital Grille next door or Mooo a couple of MBTA stops away.
