The staff are really great. Friendly, engaged and attentive. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming.

The high-table seating could be a bit more comfortable. I get that its a small space, but the stools got very uncomfortable on my backside after sitting for a long meal.

Menu is a little limited and plates are small. I felt hungry a few hours after a pricey dinner - and I shouldn't have!

Happy to give it another go at some point, as the people running the place are great!

Really great atmosphere, the staff were awesome , very attentative and friendly with lots of personalitiy. Great for a catch up with friends or a date. The bottomless Mimosas was great! The brunch banquet was really tastey, a little bit more food would have been good for the price.

Good food and great vibe. Dead Ringer has a distinct personality. It's fun and hip but without being pretentious. For me the draw was the food- very creative takes on some traditional foods. For example, the smoked sea trout was a lot like your traditional NY-style lox, but the addition of the pickled fennel made it just that special. The salt-cod fritters again were rescued from banality by the lemony tang. MY dining companion is vegetarian/ pescatarian and there was plenty for us to choose from. The place is small and loud, but fortunately very friendly.

Really enjoyed the food but the wine list was very overpriced. Nothing really under $60 a bottle so the bill adds up quickly. Maybe have one or two cheaper winter options.

Lovely brunch with girlfriends on Sunday. Highly recommend! The staff at Dead Ringer (especially Sally!) were fantastic and the service was amazing - especially of the Mimosas. The food was lovely, but at times quite slow and so it would have been nice to have additional bread at times. It can be noisy inside so if it's forecast for a nice day be sure to book the tables outside.

We went to Dead Ringer to celebrate mother’s day on a wet Sunday night. The tables are cozy and quiet but there is also bar seating and outside tables in front.
The service was very good: knowledgeable and helpful.
All dishes were great and the menu readily adapts to sharing dishes around the table. Servings were not huge, which suited us well.
The wine list is concise but excellent.
A great place to have in the ‘hood.

Groovy inner city vibe and great vegetarian food on a night they have named 'meat free Monday' but the $15 price tag on a glass of wine which only just could be called a standard size was just outrageous.

A great night out for four friends to dive into their lovely share plates. the creamed almonds (like hummus) is a great start. The beetroot and fig salad was a fresh accompaniment . We shared the chicken with a corn salsa and the lamb with a side of potatoes. We all left "full".

Good friendly service too!

I have been going to dead ringer a lot in the past. Unfortunately this time the service was very poor. The attitude of the waitress was not very positive and we had to constantly wave to be able to order something. Our wine glasses were constantly empty and we had to keep asking for a top up.

Went there for a casual brunch with bottomless mimosas, the amount and the quality of the food for the set menu brunch is good value. The service was very attentive about the drink refill which is pleasant cause you don't have to chase the attention of waiters. I had a very good moment. Would come again.

Little pricey for portion size but food was good. Service was great at the start but didn’t finish as good as our original server must’ve left and a manger helped us after. She seemed to be a little pushy for after dinner drinks and desserts. All and all 7.5/10 but would’ve been 8/10 if our original sever was with us the entire meal.
