We like this place a lot , service it’s normally good But this time the services was Excellent, she ( not sure about her name) it’s been the best service in this place .
Manager did really great too !
Outstanding food and service. Best Branzino I ever had.
Terrible service, food and overall experience.
We went to dB bistro before a Broadway matinee. We enjoyed our lunch and recommend it.
We were dining at db Bistro prior to heading to the theater, celebrating my daughter's 30th and my sister's 65th. I cannot say enough about what a lovely experience we had. The staff was so attentive, 2 of us had special dietary needs and the staff went out of their way to be helpful, they really went above and beyond. The food was delicious too. My only comment would be to have more than one entree choice that is vegetarian.
We've been here 3 times and will continue to come back. Great prix fixe dinner and excellent service and quality.
The food, the service, the ambiance, and experience are all excellent!! The staff is so very professional and friendly! This is an excellent dining place.
Delicious meal in a pleasant establishment.
The food was delicious and the service excellent.
Excellent service food delish. Ambience wonderful
What a gem. We love to go to DB's because the food is delicious, the service prompt and the ambiance fun. It will remain one of our favorite spots.
Highly recommend the burger and fries (not your average burger). The cock au vin was also amazing.
And of course the chocolate tort.
Just delicious.
My companions and I enjoyed our lunch. We were a vegan, a pescatarian, and a carnivore and we all found delicious things to eat.
Great place. Love the atmosphere. Food was excellent.
Warm, inviting and well appointed restaurant. Excellent and attentive staff that were very accommodating. Food was incredible. Highly recommend for a great dining experience.
My wife and I visited Bistro Moderne on March 2 for our anniversary dinner.
For an appetizer I ordered the “Tartiflette” ($19) ingredients of which, as shown in the Menu, included “crispy Pork Belly, Fingerling Potatoes, Leeks and (surprisingly) Reblochon Cheese”. When I asked the server how had the restaurant got hold of the Reblochon (not allowed into the US as an unpasteurized cheese), the server answered that he would double-check with the Chef. He later told me that the Chef agreed with me that the cheese was not the authentic Reblochon, but rather a variety of domestic cheese resembling Reblochon. I requested that the mentioning of the “Reblochon” be removed from the Menu as a false product claim.
For the main, I had their “Rohan Duck Breast” (cooked medium). I was very unimpressed by the way this simple duck preparation was handled by the kitchen. For the medium it was rather dry, bland and had no recognizable duck meat flavor. Plus, the platter had just two petite strips of the duck breast meat on it. I was slapped with a $40!!! for a mediocre dish. For the size of the dish and particularly for the way these duck breast slices were cooked, I feel, it was a shameless ripoff. After all, it is not a Micheline-level place.
I have been to this place and enjoyed it on three previous occasions, but this last dinner seriously disappointed me. The only positive impression left afterwards was the most attentive and professional server - Adil.
Drop everything and reserve yourself a table here! Dined here with my daughter on Sunday evening @ 8:30 pm. We each had the 3-course pre-fixe (starter, main, dessert). Every dish was amazing--exquisite flavors, beautifully presented. Service was attentive but not overbearing, Five days later and I am still daydreaming about the trio of sorbets (especially the raspberry). Cannot wait to go back.
Great menu outstanding service
Food and service were great. The only thing that bothered me was the bathroom had no hand towels, no urinal, Do I really need to touch a public toilet seat, and service staff were using the restroom. Bouloud can afford for his staff to have their own facilities .
Amazing food , the service was wonderful, the wine was great. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone visiting. Definitely Michelin worthy.
Great place for brunch before a show! French Toast was outstanding
We went pre-theatre with friends from the west and we are from Philadelphia. They seated us promptly asked what time our show was and planned our service accordingly. the drinks were a good pour and we had the prix-fixe priced menu which let you choose an appetizer, main course and dessert with an up-charge for a couple of the entrees. All of us enjoyed everything we ordered and they made nice recommendations for wines by the glass. Overall it was a very pleasant experience although relatively expensive.
Excellent, as always, and we appreciated their courtesy in not seating us in the bar with our teenage niece!
When the lettuce is bigger than your steak....
We have been Dinning in BD for yrs mostly when we going to the Theaters
Place never fails
It is a pure pleasure going there
Thank you
From the moment you are greeted warmly at the door to the moment you leave, the dbm team makes you feel welcome and cared for. I’ve been coming here for years now and I’m never disappointed and either are my guests. The food is delightful, the service is well executed and the atmosphere is relaxed and chill when it could easily be stuffy. What’s so nice about this place are the little moments along the meal, the amuse bouche, the bread, the drinks, the meal itself, a little sweet after the meal - everything makes you feel you are being treated well and getting excellent value!
The bronzino was delicious!
Fabulous lunch! Salad and burger were DELICIOUS. Service was great and everyone was very friendly!!
Everything from the moment you walked in the door until you left was perfect. The Brussel Sprout salad was amazing! The special rice pudding desert was spectacular. We had a nice table in the main room towards the back of the restaurant, their are booths between the bar area and main dining room that don’t have the same upscale look as the rest of the restaurant, I was glad we were not seated there. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly. Overall, a special place for an evening out.
Took a long time for a server to approach our table after we were seated. Finally flagged down sommelier to order a cocktail. Food came out quickly, but never had a server check on us, follow up. Restrooms were filthy; had to tell hostess. Poor service and dirty restrooms unacceptable for this level of restaurant.
In NYC for a weekend visit/party and made sure we returned to this favorite spot. The branzino special was so-o-o delicious!!! Amazing. Wonderful flavors - I made it last as long as I could. The staff was very accommodating to our special request and couldn’t have been more appropriately attentive. Also, we love the fixed price menu option.
This was my second visit. I will return, but not for the duck, which was a bit too tough for my taste.
Food was excellent as was wine list. We were a somewhat eclectic group consisting of two meat-and-potatoes type septuagenarians, a well-travelled Brit / East-Asian couple, and a 12 year old. The menu had something for everyone. The salmon went down well as did the coq au vin, and the db burger took care of our youngest member. This is a NY restaurant so the service is unavoidably sloppy as always in NY except at the very best of the best, with waiters butting in to conversations instead of exercising discretion, sommelier dripping wine on the tablecloth etc. But the food more than made up for that and we were in tolerant mood given the occasion we were there to celebrate. I’m actually a little surprised I was able to get a table on a Friday night but I’m glad I was able to and we’ll likely be back when next we visit NYC.
Still one of my old fav’s! Food,Service and Decor never disappoints. The $60 prie fix is well worth it. ❤️❤️❤️
Honestly this used to be one of our old stand-bys, but the last few visits were not that impressive. This time however, we had delicious food, great service and an attentive sommelier. We loved it!
Delicious food at a reasonable price
It's been many years since I last went to db Bistro. Although I have great memories of db Bistro in its heyday, this restaurant is so evidently in decline. The service was lax and uneven, the food was underwhelming. The vaunted db Burger was served cold and overcooked, despite a medium-rare request. My companion chose the Steak Frites, which was passable but fell short of expectation. Very sad to lose a place I enjoyed so much in the past.
Very pleasant overall, wonderful carrot soup, excellent Brussels sprouts salad, pate de compagne disappointing, but overall a very pleasant experience, lovely atmosphere. We were a group of four and all were very pleased with our overall experience. Noise level was acceptable, especially since the restaurant was completely filled.
Post show dinner that was relaxing with excellent, attentive service from Charles without hovering. Roasted Brussels sprout salad, coq su vin & branzino were great.
Great seeing lace to ear and exceptional service. Great managerial service...quite rear.
The food is excellent. The service while fine. I find the staff lacking friendliness or caring. The hostess on the phone was abrupt. Definitely NY style service.
