David Burke at Orange Lawn
Obvious this place is new. Staff far out numbered the amount of guests yet it still took over 20 minutes for us to order our drinks and another 15 minutes to get our drinks and order our food. Lobster dumplings were flavorful but the dough was thick and doughy. Shrimp pasta entree was kind of standard and more of what you would expect at a neighborhood pizza joint and not at a David Burke restaurant. Tuna taco appetizer was delicious and the Scallop and Octopus entree was delicious as well. Fortunately their price point is good so you don’t leave feeling like you’ve been robbed but just let down
A welcome concept in suburban NJ. A dining restaurant that has membership so some faux level of kinship. David Burke is always imaginative and art in presentation and flavors. The service is not up to the level of the kitchen (chef)and while there is no lack of personnel, they are all going in different directions not coordinated to table service. The management cares but that enthusiasm has not flowed down to the wait staff. The ambiance is a winner!
We like the concept David Burke and team created, but at this price level it all needs to be flawless.
We understand that the restaurant is still finding its rhythm. We are confident that once it does, it will be a local gem!
Truly unique. An amazing dining experience. Hesitate to let anyone else know about this hidden gem because its the kind of place that feels personalized and special. Menu and food are the best David Burke has to offer (don't miss dessert). Wine list has great options including some treasures you won't find anywhere else. The atmosphere is like no other you will find - a classic clubhouse beautifully restored to celebrate the rich tradition and history of this amazing tennis club. This is one of the oldest clubs in the country, with one of the most current and exciting dining venues we've stumbled across in years.
Service food ambience. The real deal.
Broad menu. Great preparation. Fine wine list and mixed drinks.
Worth every penny.
Excellent, creative menu and precise attention to every detail.
I had an amazing experience at David Burke Orange Lawn. The food looked and tasted delicious and our waiter Stefano made our experience wonderful!!!!!
Even though it is brand new they are operating like a well oiled machine. Food is outstanding and the renovations are beautiful.
Everything was impeccable- the service, the food, and the ambience. We will be back frequently for sure - everything on the menu looked delicious, and everything we ordered was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and presented. The grounds of the club are beautiful too.
Love this restaurant. Have been here twice, and can't decide what to have since everything looks so good. Make room for dessert, because the choices are fantastic. Service is very friendly and attentive. Although this is a private club, the atmosphere is inviting and casual. The renovations came out great, and the club has updated the interior, but preserving the rich history of the club.
The revamped dinning room at Orange Lawn is beautiful and the service was impeccable.
The food was well presented but, sadly, the portion size was skimpyl
My entree consisted of three scallops, a twig of broccoli and a modest piece of grilled octapus. It was delicious but I left the restaurant still hungry!
So much better than we expected. Lovely setting and wonderful DB signature food. Everyone was delightful and eager to please. DB at Orange Lawn is truly a destination restaurant.
Excellent, interesting food. Knowledgeable staff who struck the right balance between informality and correct service. Considering the restaurant has only been open for 3 days, it was amazing.
Delicious food! Every course was excellent. Lovely atmosphere with the modernized renovations. Great addition to our community. High leve NYC quality dining without the commute!
