I wouldn't recommend the place if you are after authentic Indian cuisine. Moreover the service was very poor, the staff we very unwelcoming and gave the 3 of us a small table that we could barely get all of our food on.
I have not eaten one thing off this menu and disliked it. The hot chai is to die for!
If you want fabulous mild spicy flavours, have a group of friends and need somewhere interesting to eat, this is for you. Flavours are truely amazing!
We had dinner at Daughter in Law after a Comedy Festival show. The place was really busy when we arrived which was a great sign. We loved the whole ambiance which was kind of 80s retro with neon signs, velvet booths and a great 80s playlist. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was beyond amazing. Portion sizes were excellent too so we had plenty to share between the four of us. This is Indian food with a fabulous twist. We will definitely be back!
Absolultely atrocious food. The good ratings can be explained by the simple fact that Ausis don't know any better. This is not indian food, this is not how any food should taste like! My local takeaway could potentially make better Butter Chicken and Rogan Josh. Curries tasted off and appeared to have been loaded with sugar to compensate for the bad taste, and meat tasted like cardboard. They were definitely not fresh, at least 3 days old. Naans were fresh, thank goodness. It's most disappointing that Indian chefs simply don't want to make the effort. How can the owner be ok with this food representing him/her? I will celebrate the day I find a good decent honest Indian restaurant. Until then, this restaurant made me give up on eating Indian out forever. We really had high hopes with this one!
Poor value for money.
We had the Thali and it was awesome. We also liked the mocktail that we had ordered was nice and refreshing
Have eaten here before and had a fantastic meal off the A la Carte menus. But and it a big but as we were a party of 7 week we’re only offered a banquet set menus dinner which was not great. We were taken to out too large table which is bolt to seat 10 or more so conversation was difficult. We waited 25 mins before asking if we could get something to eat as nothing but drinks had been offered. We then got a few small plates in a very sporadic and disjointed order and we slowly got a few more dishes. After an hour and a half we finally got main course of a very sad thali. By now the place was empty and it felt late and tired. So not a great meal and the overall impression we had was of being an after thought.
Yummy food but a little overpriced for what you get. Butter chicken was delicious. Cocktails were a bit hit and miss too. Lamb was very dry and we left most of it. Nice vibe though.
Made a booking here as my husband loves Indian food and this place did not disappoint!! Would definitely go here again.
Had Good Friday lunch with friends and had a great time. We were about the only people in there so made all the noise ourselves so not sure how noisy it is normally.
The food was really good, we had the banquet. Really good amount per person and the cocktails were nice. Service was good also. Highly recommend.
The banquet was fantastic value and absolutely delicious.
The waitstaff were excellent - friendly, helpful & efficient.
Would thoroughly recommend
We went to Daughter in Law for a work event. The ambiance is very energetic, fun and welcoming. The wait staff is simply outstanding, and very accommodating. If you haven't been, go!
A wonderful place for great food and really good service.
First time here. Indian is generally not our first choice of cuisine when dining out, therefore we were pleasantly surprised to taste such flavoursome dishes. We will be back. Thank you DIL for expanding our culinary horizon.
Chef’s selection was a tasting menu that showcased the great range available. Delicious. We will be back.
Excellent food and great atmosphere although a bit noisier than necessary.
It’s a fun, lively place with great options and tasty food.
We ordered the chefs menu. The starters were great, thali was the main meal and was quite bland. I’ve had better Indian food. Ambience was unusual.
My Favourite place when I have to dine in Fancy and with good vibes, beautiful Indian flavours!!...
The most amazing fusion indian food I have ever experienced, and I have eaten at the best such restaurants around the world and particularly London.
Cudos to the chef. Only disappointment was the wine list. This was very small and limited with very young vintages. If they do not keep top rate wines they should allow byo with appropriate corckage
They added some extra drinks on the bill which wasn’t on the table after checking it came out to be an extra $17 extra on my actual billing.
Please make sure to double check your bills before paying, especially over here.
The food was very tasteful and the service was great. The only feedback was to the music, it was an unusual choice for this restaurant - I was expecting to hear music more related to the restaurant - Indian.
Amazing service!! Food was incredible as were the cocktails!!
Amazing food and service, a definite dining must! We had a fun time and left completely satisfied after the Chef's selection with matching wine.
Delicious food, stylish venue and good service. Highly recommend. We went for a quick bite before afternoon show on a Saturday and it was perfect.
B’day celebration
Incredible food and such a fun place
Loved it! Amazing food great restaurant
Amazing service and food
We had so much fun in this funky modern Indian restaurant. The food was amazing and service so friendly. Food did take awhile but well worth the wait! Lighting in the toilets is terrible, just in case you want to freshen up after dinner haha!
Amazing food and service and very well priced! We will be sure to go back when we are in Melbourne next.
Fantastic food and vibe! We had the feed me for $55 each, and we were well fed by the end of it! Walked out very happy.
Great atmosphere, delicious food - caters for all dietaries. Highly recommend!
Ambiance and decor was very nice. Service was attentive and quick. However, the food was far from innovative and was average. Nothing shouted amazing. Nonetheless a good experience.
Excellent birthday celebration dinner with family. We sat in one of the plush booths - intimate but with adequate space. Of our party of 5 we had a vegetarian and Caeliac. All food intolerances and variations were happily accommodated within the banquet menu. Happily return again.
Daniel was very good at his service.
What a great little place to experience a taste of India. Their ‘balls of happiness’ are a delicious way to tantalise the taste buds and the tandoori chicken best ever!!
It was a birthday dinner date. Loved the service and food was great as always. Lamb Rogan Josh is worth every penny spent. Kulfi was my fav part of it All. And the staff also got me free sweets and sang happy birthday song.
Love going there! It’s my favourite place to celebrate anything and everything, from birthdays to anniversaries to important achievements.
We had a fabulous lunch experience for four people at this lovely restaurant. It was a birthday celebration for my girlfriend and we shared the $55 per head feast. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even allowed me to bring in a birthday cake, provided candles, presented it to my girlfriend along with a celebratory turban for her to wear while we sang Happy Birthday .... all without any surcharge!
