Dal Zotto Trattoria

We love going to Dal Zotto as we love the wine and the pizzas are pretty good too. However the flies are unfortunately terrible. There were so many flies on us whilst drinking and eating which made for quiet an unenjoyable experience. I’m sure there is something that can be done to keep the flies at bay. We would love to come back again and would definitely book a table inside.

Booked lunch on the way home to Melbourne from Bright. Had visited King Valley before for wine festival so thought this would be a good stop. Kids had gorgeous wood fired pizza and adults ate exceptional light clouds of gnocchi with sumptuous pork ragu, plus lovely glasses of wine. Had chosen to sit outside but on arrival my autistic son was upset by the flies. Gorgeous staff unblinkingly moved us to a table inside and checked on us a bit later - thank you! Highly recommended for a short or long lunch.

Went for a Friday dinner after work and loved it! The entry special the filled zucchini flower- to die for; accompanied by the fabulous Prosecco. The Pizza was as good as in Italy with crispy thin base enjoyed with Barbera l’ immigrante! Yum

Considering COVID conditions, it was a very nice atmosphere and food and service was amazing. Will definitely recommend and be back sometime in the future.

Great food and amazing wine

The food is absolutely amazing. We ended up eating Gluten Free pasta and pizza as we were sharing with a Glutide.

As someone who eats Gluten I could not taste the difference.

The bean salad (special) was brilliant. The freshness of the beans were wonderful.

Great setting, only complaint was that service was a little difficult to get hold of and with COVID we couldn't approach the counter.

Great winery with the #1 proscecco in Australia. Wait staffs are attentive and friendly, the food was really top notch. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience here. :)

Dogs in outside dinning area , so won’t visit again

Being outside was a bit hard as we had flies to contend with but the food made up for the discomfort as it was amazing

Lovely setting, good ambiance but pizzas very disappointing unfortunately. Lacking in flavour and pizza base soggy.

We all ate from the pasta menu, spaghetti, gnocchi and ravioli.
Everything was great, flavours and textures amazing.

Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere with good service and wines. Food was good but miss the platters that we enjoyed in the past visits. Would love to see them reintroduced at some stage. Would go back again when up that way again.

We had a wonderful lunch at Dal Zottos. Delicious food, great service and a beautiful outlook of the vineyard, bocci field and green lawn; perfect for the kids to run around on! Staff were very attentive and friendly, we can't wait to return!

Food and wine was delicious, but it was really noisy! We couldn’t hear each other the drunk 20 somethings. We went when it was raining and during covid-restrictions so might be better if everyone could spread out inside and onto the grassy area.

Our party of 8 throughly enjoyed our meal, drinks and service. We even brought some wine to take home. We will be back

Great place. Excellent service. Gnohci pizza and ravioli superb. Whilst the lemon butter was delicious the lemon tart was all pastry with hardly any filling. The prosecco, we'll we were in prosecco heaven. Victoria's best.

Things are quiet everywhere during the Covid lockdown, but we had a great time at DalZotto. The food was lovely (fairly) simple regional fare with an Italian bent. Our host on the day was Mario who was a great and friendly source of information on the food and wines of the region. Had a game of pétanque between courses (brought our own boules). Overall it was extremely nice and we will return again on a return visit to the area.

A wonderful dining experience. Lovely food, friendly service and exceptional wines. We will be back very soon. Dalzotto is now one of my top five food and wine destinations in NE Victoria.

Our third visit for lunch and the food and wine are still very good. The Covid rules somewhat dampen the atmosphere however this is offset by the excellent surroundings and the friendly and efficient table service.
The home made gnocchi with arramartra sauce was delicious and Maree certainly enjoyed the Ravioli:
Both meals went well with a glass of Dal Zottos sangeovese. Our desserts, the Lemon Tart and the Orange/Almond cake were a good choice. Well worth the relaxing drive to the beautiful King Valley. See you again

James was a lifesaver as he helped me to jump start my motorbike after we found that the battery was flat. Exceptional service!!

Our first post COVID meal out, coincidentally our anniversary. We hadn't expected to be able to get a table - all so easy, relaxed, tasty and good service.
