Wide ranging menu which meant everyone found something to eat. Dessert was a disappointment. We appreciated the ability to sit and chat before and after our meal.

My friend was celebrating her birthday and we were made to feel special from the moment we arrived. The waiter brought over a lovely dessert topped off with a birthday candle for us both to share.

The goat curry was amazing!

This was definitely our type of restaurant, all the feel of a small local neighbourhood place in an unlikely location. Food was excellent and reasonably priced, staff were pleasant and interesting to talk to and the overall ambience was casual but comfortable. This place is a world away from the chain restaurants and more aloof places that litter the Western - so if like me you want good food at reasonable prices in a genuinely welcoming and intimate venue then I would definitely recommend Cutting Room.

Second time for lunch and as good as the first. This time on the lower ground floor as the ground floor was being refurbed. The surroundings are relaxed and cosy, but with only a few other diners there, it's hard to tell what it would be like if full. The service is outstanding - really relaxed but completely on point. They are all friendly, knowledgeable and generally helpful. Food was delicious from the artichoke dip through to the honeycomb truffles and everything in between, including the cocktails. My only concern is that both times I've been, there haven't been many other diners - which is a crime. Will definitely return.

Carefully prepared food and a short but good wine list make for a great value for money. Vinho verde was excellent, so were the lamb croquettes and the mushroom sliders. Also good to support a restaurant with a sustainable sourcing policy.

A little restaurant with amazing food. It’s great place to have meal and catch up with friends. Whilst the waitress probably not by herself but others are great. We’ve tried the tasting menu, food quality is brilliant. Definitely will go back.

Another lovely meal here. The sliders are always a winner! And the winelist is really good value for the area - try the South African red. Delicious.

My friend and I enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu on a weekday evening last week. For £35 it was excellent value and the food was very varied. Our favourite was the cheese course - 4 interesting cheeses (and excellent portion sizes!). We enjoyed the happy hour and ordered 2 French 75s which were delicious. Great service from the team there too. A hidden gem in Fitzrovia - a refreshing change from the overly stylised, identikit restaurants with velvet banquettes and tiny portions. We'll be back!

Relatively new place which opened in February 2019.
I was attracted by all the few but excellent reviews, so we went for a late dinner.
There were not many people, which is a shame because the place is absolutely a treat. Service is good and the Taster menu, at 35£, is definitely worth giving it a go!

WOW!!! What a great find.
Went as a group of 6 for our quarterly catch up. We all had the 8 course taster menu which was fantastic, my favourite was the spinach -)

Wow. This is the best place I’ve been to for a very long time. Lovely warm welcome, delicious food and drinks, beautiful live music and looked after so well by the lovely team. I can’t wait to bring my husband here for his birthday. All the food was outstanding but I can’t stop thinking about the charcoal cheese. I will be back soon. Thanks all.

Had a lovely lunch on the small outdoor terrace. The lunch menu was exceptional value for money, chill squid followed by a mushroom and truffle burger with sweet potato chips salad was just £11.95.
There was a full sharing plates menu available also which I’ll be back to try. Service was friendly as needed. Will be back.

This restaurant clearly takes a lot of pride in sourcing top-quality ingredients, but on our visit this was, unfortunately, somewhat undercut by a lack of precision in the kitchen.
Miso Salmon arrived with burnt skin and a large amount of sashimi-raw flesh; rare-breed beef sliders were overcooked and served on what appeared to be mini bread rolls from a supermarket variety pack (M the pine nuts with the mozzarella didn't seem to have been roasted; grilled whole tiger prawns were also overcooked, with an underpowered garlic oil overwhelmed by raw slices of red chilli that would have been better incorporated into the cooking process rather than added as garnish, and I remain unconvinced that orange is an appropriate accompaniment to either lamb or salmon, but that's a personal preference.
The food that was good was very good - artichoke, spinach & parmesan dip was warming and delicious (though could have used some more bread with it), the sea bream was excellent (a perfectly-cooked piece of fish that made one question how the salmon was actually allowed to leave the kitchen), and the Cafe Patron Banoffee dessert was exquisite.
This place has a great vision and ethos, with friendly and attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere, but it currently shows a lack of consistency in the kitchen that made the overall experience feel like a home-cooked meal, and sadly not in the best way. This IS a new establishment, though, and there's nothing here that can't be fixed - fingers crossed.
