Mary , our server, took excellent care of us from pre-dinner cocktails in lounge and throughout our meal in dining room and friendly sommelier 🍷. Although expected , it was pricey , especially for cocktails ($22 smaller glass martini 🍸?..) and a “ordinary” ribeye and asparagus (expected a memorable meal.. it is Wolfgang Puck after all), , it was made worthwhile by the awesome service. Thanks to all who made it happen !
Yes, CUT is a great steak restaurant, but its global flair makes it a standout among highly-rated NYC restaurants. On this visit, I went solo and took the healthy route, starting with a delicious Peruvian-inspired ceviche served with taro chips, which worked especially well with sake. My main course, the Long Island stripped bass, was also a winner—meaty enough to be filling and with refined flavors that let you know you are eating something special. The eclectic background music —ranging from
Depeche Mode to Neil Young to Alanis Morisette—adds to a really cool NYC vib. The amazing staff is frosting on the cake. Every guest I have taken there sees pretty quickly that this a very special place.
Not worth it. You can find way better steakhouses for the same or better price. Not thinking of coming back. Sorry
Birthday celebration. Wait staff was attentive and good. Portions of bread and side dishes were small. Steak tasty but fatty. Last time I ate at Cut was before Covid. The meal and accrutiments were fabulous. Meal was so exceptional that I can still taste it. This meal on March 2 was good but did not live up to my first meal. .

CUT is always a great experience, whether eating the always perfectly cooked steak or what I think of as the city’s best cheeseburger. I sat at a table in the bar on this visit, where the service was top-notch and the eclectic music added to the really cool environment. The versatility of this restaurant is notable. It’s perfect for an important business dinner, a gathering of good friends, or a date night. It’s formal without being stuffy with consistently delicious food with style. This place is a TriBeCa gem!

Service exceptional. Food excellent. Only downside was that we were in a back room- one probably used for small private parties - so the ambiance was “meh”. We know this was bc of Covid so won’t hold it against them, but it was the one part of an expensive night that was only fair. We walked thru the bar and main dining area and both were lovely ...if that’s where we would have been...
David was amazing! He really knew the food menu and the drink menu inside and out. Would go back just for his amazing service!
The pandemic forces some serious compromises, especially with indoor dining, but our experience at CUT was truly excellent in every way. Tables are spaced apart and the ventilation was very good. High ceilings are a good thing as well. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Steaks were perfect and appetizers were divine. Highly recommend the endive/apple salad, the Buratta, and the pasta in Wagyu bolognese. For dessert- a decadent apple crumble was superb. We will definitely be back.
I made a reservation for my boyfriend and I to celebrate his birthday. It was our first time dining at CUT and the experience was wonderful. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! I ordered the filet mignon and my boyfriend ordered the Wagyu with a side of truffle fries and Brussels sprouts. We also ordered the fluke ceviche with uni and it was so fresh and delish! We both agreed that it was definitely worth a second trip. Thank you CUT NYC for a memorable experience.

CUT was excellent to exceptional with respect to service, drink preparation, menu selection and food preparation. Every item ordered was fresh and well prepared.
We had to wait about 20 minutes for our table and because we had to eat outdoors it was tough trying to find a spot to stand on the sidewalk but the staff was very apologetic and engaging. Once we sat down the dinner and experience was what we expected! Didn’t hurt that it was a beautiful night in the city to be eating outdoors!

Excellent overall experience. The food was fantastic and the staff go above and beyond. As Covid is still around, we dined outside on Barclays street. Very comfortable considering people weren’t passing thru the seats even though it was on the curb. Would definitely recommend.

I dined outdoors at CUT and enjoyed a lovely Tomahawk, nice music, a phenomenal cheese cake, and excellent service. The weather was amazing, and the night couldn’t have been better.
Hats Off to the Team who made me forget about COVID and instead focus on fine dining and service. This was Cut at its absolute best- Service Food and Hospitality.

The only thing that I would change are the chairs- too stiff, tables were too low for me. But overall i recommend this place.
This outdoor dining option is a great addition to the TiBeCa dining scene. Though CUT lives up to its reputation as a first-rate steak restaurant, the pasta options are exceptional. On this visit my guest and I split a duck ragu pappardelle as one of our appetizers that is definitely main course worthy. Service remains first-rate, and the memorable overall experience brings joy during these challenging times.

My wife and I like this place and have dined here more than once. The restaurant is quiet, elegant and the level of service is impeccable. Our most recent visit gave us the opportunity to try the new menu which, frankly, was a bit of a disappointment. It is very limited although the offerings are interesting. As for the food, it was good although my steak was not cooked sufficiently and went back to the kitchen but still came back too rare. The staff was massively apologetic and went out of their way to rectify the situation. Sadly, we were on a schedule and couldn’t stick around for the steak to make another trip to the kitchen. We still plan to go back and try it again although the limited menu may make the next trip our last simply because there’s just not enough menu variety to justify multiple trips.
My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Cut this week, and truly enjoyed the evening. The service was wonderful. We were greeted with a complementary glass of cava and a cheerful card from management. The food was excellent and presented well, just as ordered. We enjoyed the lamb chops and snapper very much. A very memorable evening.
Disappointing! CUT used to be our favorite restaurant. Unfortunately we were not served the same top quality steaks we received in the past. The blue cheese salad is off the menu now, and in a positive note they agreed to make the old salads for our table. But The American wagyu New York steaks tasted like standard non prime sirloins. At these prices the steaks should never miss like this! I only Hope the other CUT restaurants have not dropped to this low level.
