Cugino's Italian Restaurant
Breaded Chicken, Marinara, Mozzarella Cheese, Spaghetti
Risotto Milanese, Sauteed Spinach, Saffron Sauce
Celebrated my birthday with friends... restaurant followed all Covid protocols. Food was delicious; confusion over pasta side was rectified immediately; dessert yummy as well! We love this restaurant
Best Italian restaurant in western New York, and easily a top pick overall. Everything was wonderful- servers, chef/owner- so nice. And the food - wow! Pricier than many Italian restaurants, but worth every penny!
We go here al least every other month, the food is always amazing, all the pasta is made in house by Frank and I have never been disappointed. This is a beautiful white tablecloth restaurant and not white table cloth with paper or plastic over the top.
Wonderful, Elegant and always a terrific meal. :)
Cugino’s makes you feel like part of the family! The food is amazing and the service is great. My pasta was a little too salty but everything else was great! We will be back for sure!
As always, the food was wonderful. Service was leisurely, allowing us to relax and enjoy the meal. It was great to have a chance to eat there again, after so many restaurants had been forced to close for several months.
Enjoyed a delicious meal this past Saturday. Food was excellent... service great! Restaurant followed all safety protocols. The chef even treated us to an after dessert orange limoncello.
A find to those whose find it. Quietly a missed opportunity for too many in the local Buffalo dining experience
Great food, reasonable prices. Service by the owner
Food was good, but my husband and me spent the night in the bathroom with upset stomachs! Apparently they must use some sort of additives in food to effect both of us. The owner/manager is very hard to understand, speaks with a very heavy accent. Also he was not really friendly, talked to people that he knew, and kind of ignored us. Also, I ordered a SWEET ice tea, he brought unsweetened, and when I said this isn’t sweet, he said put sugar in it! REALLY!? I don’t think we will return....
This place is so wonderful and elegant I wish I lived closer
The room is very nice. The service was excellent. The food was so, so. The strangest bread was served. It appeared to be homemade, but was very dense and very unbreadlike. However, the first course was excellent - fried calamari. The pasta course was very strange - Home Made Spaghetti a La Vodka. The spaghetti was cut into very short strands, nothing like I've seen before. Desert was a selection of gelati. I can only describe them as containing strands.
We really had a lovely dinner and very much enjoyed meeting Frank and his staff!
We actually didn’t even dine. Walked in a was passed over by the couple BEHIND us. Not acknowledged at all and hist took a very long time to return. Was not a welcoming environment at all. Will NOT return. Hope it had nothing to do with my interracial marriage. Went to Salvatores.
We went on Valentine's Day, which is about the worst day in the year to try a new restaurant; but it was great! I had scallops, hubby had fish special and both were very good. Not much in the way of ambiance, just an open seating area, but had plenty of space between the tables, didn't feel like we were eating on top of strangers or that we had to be aware of their conversations! Will go again!
Very nice italian restaurant in Williamsville. Menu was plentiful as were the portions. All employees were phenomenal. Will definitely be back soon.
Great food and great service! Will definitely go back!!
This is in my opinion, a little known phenomenal restaurant that is Italian cuisine based. The owner, Frank, is very helpful, very considerate, and has a engaging menu that is diverse enough to appeal to all tastes. I especially liked it because I did not feel I had to shout over music or had to deal with tables being too close so that I was literally involved in discussions from other tables like in other restaurants. The staff was very helpful, the wine was very good and the night was totally enjoyable.
Love this place.
If you are looking for true homemade Northern Italian cuisine and you like personal attention and service, please do yourself a favor and try Cugino's. This is a quiet, ambient restaurant, ideal for a romantic dinner. Everything we ate was wonderful, and this a rare place that makes risotto properly. I would highly recommend.
Always amazing at Cugino’s. Great service, great food! Best restaurant in the area.
If you want to have a truly amazing experience with incredible food and the most attentive and friendly service ever, you have to head to Cugino’s. It’s more than a meal- it’s a fantastic celebration of great food and great hosts and you won’t regret it.
Food and service was excellent
Food and service are excellent. Pleasant atmosphere, delicious food.
This might be the best food I ever ate. The Gnocchi with the wild mushroom sauce is amazing. But the best part is the dessert. The Semifreddo specifically.
We heard varying opions from friends so we decided to try it ourselves. We invited two close friends for a quite evening out. The service, atmosphere, food and wine in our opinions were all supurb. Thank you Gugino’s for the pleasant evening.
It was a Monday night around 730 and the place was pretty empty. We got a wonderful greeting as we walked in to the restaurant. We had a reservation and felt very welcomed. The place itself is nice, pleasant. We each had a glass of the house wine, my husband had the red and I had the white. His red wine was very good and my white wine was acceptable. I ordered the house made lobster ravioli and he had the pork tenderloin Marsala. On the website there is a picture of the lobster ravioli. The dish I was served looked nothing like the illustration, nor was it something I would serve to anyone. The portion was generous probably six ravioli. The noodle itself was gummy and did not taste in the least like any fresh pasta I’ve ever had. The filling consisted of ricotta cheese and possibly egg. There was no lobster to be found. It did taste like it may have been cooked in a seafood stock. The sauce of which there was hardly any was a red sauce and it was very, very dry and tasteless. It didn’t match the description of being a tomato cream sauce with crispy basil. There was no basil. There was no cream. There was no lobster.I have had much better ravioli than this even from the freezer. I ate one and left the rest. The waiter, who I believe was also the owner, just took the plates away and didn’t ask. I would normally comment, but this evening we had to leave and do other things and I didn’t feel like getting into a discussion about what was obviously a seriously poor dish. The pork tenderloin Marsala was decent, although the pasta that came with that was very very chewy did not taste like fresh pasta. I found the food extremely disappointing and my husbands was marginal. I don’t know if this was an off night or not but I will not go back to find out. I have to say it’s one of the poorest meals I’ve ever paid to have.
People are SUPER friendly and courteous. Husband had the pork osso bucco and he loved it. I had the bolognese. Could have been hotter, also a little dry. But lots of flavor and I hate the whole thing!
It was restaurant week. Cugino’s had a special menu. Very good deal. I had the chicken parmigiana with Caesar salad, Chianti and tiramisu. The salad was over the top. All 4 of us were raving about it. Chicken parmigiana with homemade pasta and sauce was the best. I truly enjoyed the dessert and the Chianti.
Service- perfect. Very attentive.
Quality - excellent
Ambience - good. It was quiet, I like that. Decor was a little on the plain side, but that’s okay. Food more than makes up for it.
After hearing so many good things we were all looking forward to dining at Cugino's. Very disappointing. It was restaurant week and this is the time to "woo" new customers! Beet salad was a plate of arugala with ONE (seriously) sliced beet cut in half. Dressing was almost non existent. Bread was an odd square of very thinly sliced dry bread with some sort of spicy hot spread. Linguini and clam sauce only had 5 or 6 clams and was luke warm and very bland. Two of the diners at our table ordered Bolognese which was flavorful but again, both meals were only luke warm and the pasta was thick & pasty. There was a mix-up in the kitchen and the 4th diner's meal of chicken parmesan came out late (but was the star of all 4 dinners and the only one which was hot!). Tiramisu was excellent. We had to ask for coffee which was also just luke warm and the server never came back to ask if we wanted refills. My suggestion would be do not participate in restaurant week unless you are prepared to serve at a top notch level and impress customers. Lovely restaurant but very poor first experience.
Best restaurant in Buffalo. The food is amazing, the owner and his staff are just outstanding. They make you feel like family! We go back here over and over again. Love them!
Nice place, service overdone. Went on Saturday night @ 6:30 & the place was almost empty except for 2 other tables. This place is masquerading as an Italian restaurant, it's not. I could go on about why but I won't. I will say that there are many wonderful Italian restaurants in the area that are authentic & more reasonably priced.
Great food and service! We will definitely be back soon!
Very disappointed. We dine here often and this was our worst experience. Pasta and vegetables were badly over cooked. However, the service was excellent as usual. Was the owner out of town a factor? Could be.
Our waitress was so nice and attentive. The food was good. It was a little odd for us as we were literally the on 2 people in the restaurant for a 7:30 Saturday evening reservation, not another person entered.
What a find! The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. I cannot wait to return.
Classy, sophisticated atmosphere. Quiet & great for conversation. Nice change!
Always had a fantastic meal, nice choice of specials. Portion sizes are just right.
Pleasant servers and a gracious and friendly proprietor. A nice change from the too many
noisy restaurants around town.
Lovely dining room bright and clean
All staff wonderful
Price very fair !
The food, service and restaurant are impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will return.
